A pathetic video ....... the British did not know what is the honor in battle ...... they are only a pirates cowards. Are incomparable with the glorious history of the Kingdom of Spain
@LordGeorgeRodney With the promise of British subsidies[citation needed] and material aid for a war against Spain, Mohammed ben Abdallah assembled an army of 40,000 men and powerful artillery in 1774 and began a bombardment of Melilla.[1] Spanish troops resisted the attack over a period of 100 days, over which time some 12,000 projectiles were lobbed onto the city.[1] A small garrison under Florencio Moreno likewise resisted the Sultan's army at Peñón de Vélez de la Gomera.
@LordGeorgeRodney In 1775 war material from England en route to Melilla was intercepted and captured by the Spanish Navy and Spanish sail approached the beleaguered city; at the same time the Turks began to encroach on Morocco's eastern borders.[1] Sherlocke began to break the siege, a situation exacerbated by the desertion of ben Abdallah's Algerians. Melilla was relieved in March. The end of the siege is still commemorated as Nuestra Señora de la Victoria, "Our Lady of Victory."
@LordGeorgeRodney "only 1000 british casualities...rest to disease" poor bad loser.according to modern sources, the dead of disease did not exceed 2000 dead.
No British ships lost at Cartegena Spanish fantasy "6 Royal Navy ships lost17 Royal Navy ships of the line heavily damaged4 frigates and 27 transports lost
your compatriots is agree with the "spanish fantasy".hahhahahaha Bahamas recaptured 1783 " britain recovered bahamas crying for the treaty of paris no for a recapture
You hate french and spanish excuses but when you talk about a british defeat you are the first in write it. Of course, i had forggotten.accordind to your "history" britain defeat france and spain armies because they are better warriors but if france and spain defeat britain is because they have been lucky.
Only France could fight sucessfull simultaneously with several major European powers. In Bouvines France defeated a medieval coalitions of England, Dutch, Holy empire and French traitors. Like Agsbourg league war when France beat in all fronts Britain, Dutch, Holy empire, Spain and Italian states. 5 coalitions of European major powers smashed after revolution,
Great Britain faced France Spain Holland as well as the American colonies
Between 1782 & 1783 Brits won more victories than defeats when it came to defending her other colonies..
The largest battle and siege of the war involving more troops and ships from Spain and France combined was Gibraltar in September 1782 and we won it decisively .

LOL!! Reading wikipedia are we? LOL!
Try the real truth British casualties were 1,000 in total (600 were lost on Fort San Lazaro) the rest were to disease a total of 11,000
The Spanish lost more ships of the line while the British actually lost no ships at all apart from a few transports,,
The only 'British' ships lost was the Spanish prize sunk to block the harbour
Blas De Lezo was going to be court martialled by the governor..

Agsbourg League war. 20 major battles, 17 French victories in all borders and sea against the rest of Europe!
pledoux 1 year ago
@pledoux
so France didn't win and the peace was seen as humiliating according to Vauban.
The Spanish succession Britain started to became a world power, won territory and won most of the battles.
LordGeorgeRodney 1 year ago
@LordGeorgeRodney
Humiliating accord after Agsbourg league war? France gained saint domingue and has become the prime sugar producer of Europe.
pledoux 1 year ago
@pledoux
Tell that to Vauban who thought surrendering most of the gains was humiliating
Haiti wouldn't last long as it won it's independence within 100 years!
