Everyone gets knocked out, with the possible exception of Fedor. Those uneducated fans who dismiss Faber for the KTFO he suffered also forget that Faber's opponent also suffered many defeats. If you fight the best, you are going to lose. Incidentally, the WEC is owned by the UFC, so Faber fighting at his unnatural weight of 155 would be a real possibility. I would love to see Penn vs Faber. And yes, Penn is still a great fighter. Let's not forget that GSP lost to Matt Serra. It happens.

Agreed. I think the UFC should get a 145 and 135 division. I don't think Faber wants to go to 155 where overgrown fighters such as Diego Sanchez dehydrate themselves to make an unnaturally light weight. I'm in favor of same day or even same night weigh-ins to avoid these massive guys doing weight cuts then climbing in as much as 20 pounds heavier. But I also see the downside of that line of thinking.

I would love to see a 145 weight class, im not to knowladgeable about the 135 weight class but I know that there are some great fighters at 145 and the UFC would make BANK of off Faber vs. Brown 3....if they do adopt a 145 class I think it would make fighters like Faber more likely to move up to fight in other classes, moving up to 155 AND the UFC is a big leap, but if your already in the UFC moving up to fights isn't as big.

if pulver wanted to win again he'd have to take a step back and really look at his training and fighting style from the outside. He's older now so he'd have be way more strategic and fight very very intelligently to become a force again.

like if I were him I'd micro-analyze every component of my fighting game and compare it to other people - and figure out super specifically where I'm going wrong.

They are both tremendous fighters. I don't think Penn could readily loose the weight, and I've heard that Faber has a hard time gaining weight, so that would put Faber at a 10 lb disadvantage (about 7% of body weight at that level). However, as long as UFC has contracts that are exclusive, I don't see it happening.

Bottom line... Faber is the champ and there is no doubt about that... Pulver is a bad ass and a legend in the sport but Urijah proved that he is at a higher level than lil evil... The fights on the Major Network the night B4is what pissed me off, the one featuring Kimbo Slice. Not one, but TWO fights that were good ones got stopped by a controversial reason. MMA still has a better ratio of good fights compared to Boxing, which has screwy decisons MOST of the time...Back 2 WEC--Torres' fight was incredible. Only one was dissappointing was Razor Rob's.
