Hi Alex. Hope things are going well. No you don't need a guru, life is your guru, if you dare open yourself to it. However, that doesn't guarantee what someone describes as an awakening as such. Often it can be an ego stroking and to take it beyond that point is perhaps the hardest step. Following the path of another, whether it be a religion or a guru can limit as much as it can enable. The biggest problem may be due to the fact that words are not really designed to express it. Good video.
