@kaihedgie Not to mention a story in the MVC series would make the biggest clusterfuck ever since SSBBrawl's Subspace Emissary. The characters from the Marvel side already have established stories in their comics and the characters in the Capcom side don't exist in the same dimension of their world (Ex: while the Megaman games have a certain timeline, going by Classic - X - Zero - ZX - Legends, in other Capcom games they show them as fictional characters, like in the Dead Rising series).
@Dragonage2ftw MKvsDCU doesn't count anymore since both MK and DC Comics are owned by Warner Bros.
TvsC had also another case of Excuse Plot. Yami dragged various characters from Capcom and Tatsunoko and had them in a dimension where they all co-existed, but they don't bother with many other details
@Alexandric4 Why doesn't MKvsDCU count? It had pretty logical and great explainations for things. Also, a Marvel comic writer wrote a comic that was in the CE of the game, so it's not impossible.
As for the MVC games, if they had a comic book series, they could explain more about the events that way. Since the series (along with most fighting games other then Guilty Gear and BlazBlue) always had a case of Excuse Plot, nobody expected an epic storyline just to explain what was going on

Considering the fact that Tron Bonne represented the MM Legends series and Zero represented the MMX series, I'm not that surprised or upset that X is an alternate for Zero. And now that the Legends and X series have representation, now it's time to see the classic Megaman series, right? If we're going to get a "real" playable Megaman, it'll probably be the original Blue Bomber.
@chucknorrisismypal Exactly, classic is the way to go(assuming he'll be DLC). I've always had this idea(although I'm sure others have thought of it too), where Megaman could have a move like Rogue from X-Men vs Street Fighter, in which he could "drain" an opponent, and gain an ability from a Megaman 1-10 bosses.

So it turns out the whole Mega Man X is in thing was just a clever ruse put on by one of my friends to trick me. Turns out, it's just a color for Zero.
Capcom seems to be deliberately pissing off those who actually want Mega Man in the game. It makes me hate them more and more.
Even if Mega Man got in, I would STILL be pissed, because Mega Man should have been the first character announced in vanilla. Period.

The 6 new Marvel characters were a bit disappointing in my opinion, not because it lacked Gambit and Venom, but because they could have brought in cooler new characters like Nightcrawler, Green Goblin, Carnage, Nick Fury, etc. But I'm sure the new 6 will be fun to use. Ghost Rider and Hawkeye are looking good.
The 6 new Capcom characters on the other hand are awesome and after seeing them I don't really care that Mega Man isn't in it.
I'd give a C- to Marvel and an A to Capcom, overall B-

@Dragonage2ftw Only ones I agree with are Ghost Rider, Nemesis, B.B. Hood, Reptil, and to an extent, MMX to shut up his fanboys. I can't forsee a good moveset coming from Quicksilver or Songbird, Punisher would just be another Chris Redfield, Scarlet Witch would be another Dr. Strange, Chuck is Frank, and Nero and Bass I don't know enough about.
@fretless58 Their was a time where the Punisher got ahold of the technology of superhero's and supervillilan's, allowing him to fly on Green Goblin's board, attack with adamantium claw replica's of Wolverine's claws, shink to very small size, and much more. Chuck Greene has many different combo weapons he could use, and wouldn't need that damn camera. Quicksilver could play like Kabal, Scarlet Witch has many different spells then Doctor strange has, Songbird could play like a improved GL(cont)
@fretless58 (continued) from MKvsDC, Nero was a lot like Dante, only he didn't use as many weapons, used a double barelled pistol, and would grapple and throw you with one arm in several ways, and used his his sword to attack when he wasn't throwing or shooting. Bass was a character that would copy powers, so perfectly that he could kill anyone in his way aside from Megaman, who had to rely on "fusion" to stop Bass.
@Dragonage2ftw Quicksilver playing like Kabal? That could actually work in this game. He could have dash attacks that could stun(or make opponent dizzy), or dashing punches for wall bounces, and overall the speed and moves to get to different parts of the screen quickly. And I could see him being able to pull off fast-paced combos(kinda like Jill).

@fretless58 Songbird could actually have an interesting moveset using her sonic screams and maybe some wrestling type moves. And Scarlet Witch's powers are about probability manipulation and using chaos magic which is totally different. Her and Strange are nothing alike outside of using magic.

What they're giving in UMvC3 is at least double the size as what was in SSF4. At least. The amount of characters, stages, UI adjustments, new moves, rebalances, new music, and just upgraded everything in general makes it plenty worth the money.
There is literally nothing to complain about with UMvC3 unless you really just want to mash buttons and you bought MvC3 because of hype.
And yes. There are plenty of legitimate reasons to hate this game. One of which being that this game came out too soon. I'll lleave it at that for know.

@buuski number of characters had nothing to do with MM not being in. It was said that they wanted 58 characters, but the higher ups pressured them into having the game out before Christmas, so they had to cut the roster down and MM may have been one of those.

Considering the fact that Tron Bonne represented the MM Legends series and Zero represented the MMX series, I'm not that surprised or upset that X is an alternate for Zero. And now that the Legends and X series have representation, now it's time to see the classic Megaman series, right? If we're going to get a "real" playable Megaman, it'll probably be the original Blue Bomber.

I've always had this idea(although I'm sure others have thought of it too), where Megaman could have a move like Rogue from X-Men vs Street Fighter, in which he could "drain" an opponent, and gain an ability from a Megaman 1-10 bosses.

So it turns out the whole Mega Man X is in thing was just a clever ruse put on by one of my friends to trick me. Turns out, it's just a color for Zero.
Capcom seems to be deliberately pissing off those who actually want Mega Man in the game. It makes me hate them more and more.
Even if Mega Man got in, I would STILL be pissed, because Mega Man should have been the first character announced in vanilla. Period.
Announcing him now would be too little, too late.

The 6 new Marvel characters were a bit disappointing in my opinion, not because it lacked Gambit and Venom, but because they could have brought in cooler new characters like Nightcrawler, Green Goblin, Carnage, Nick Fury, etc. But I'm sure the new 6 will be fun to use. Ghost Rider and Hawkeye are looking good.
The 6 new Capcom characters on the other hand are awesome and after seeing them I don't really care that Mega Man isn't in it.
I'd give a C- to Marvel and an A to Capcom, overall B-

@fretless58 Their was a time where the Punisher got ahold of the technology of superhero's and supervillilan's, allowing him to fly on Green Goblin's board, attack with adamantium claw replica's of Wolverine's claws, shink to very small size, and much more. Chuck Greene has many different combo weapons he could use, and wouldn't need that damn camera. Quicksilver could play like Kabal, Scarlet Witch has many different spells then Doctor strange has, Songbird could play like a improved GL(cont)

@fretless58 (continued) from MKvsDC, Nero was a lot like Dante, only he didn't use as many weapons, used a double barelled pistol, and would grapple and throw you with one arm in several ways, and used his his sword to attack when he wasn't throwing or shooting. Bass was a character that would copy powers, so perfectly that he could kill anyone in his way aside from Megaman, who had to rely on "fusion" to stop Bass.

He could have dash attacks that could stun(or make opponent dizzy), or dashing punches for wall bounces, and overall the speed and moves to get to different parts of the screen quickly. And I could see him being able to pull off fast-paced combos(kinda like Jill).

What they're giving in UMvC3 is at least double the size as what was in SSF4. At least. The amount of characters, stages, UI adjustments, new moves, rebalances, new music, and just upgraded everything in general makes it plenty worth the money.

@buuski number of characters had nothing to do with MM not being in. It was said that they wanted 58 characters, but the higher ups pressured them into having the game out before Christmas, so they had to cut the roster down and MM may have been one of those.
