I first heard them in 1980 and they just grab your soul. The times I was able to see them in the States, 81' and 87 I think, were an absolute treat. I saw them again in 2010 and they didn't lose a beat. After all these years still smokin' hot, raw, fast, dynamic, emotion filled and their music has a meaning. This is why I've always dug UK Subs, which are my other favorite all time band. Long Live SLF

they were a good band, and Henry is a good mate of mine and agrees to a certain degree there were more 'punk' bands over here than slf we had Rudy who were amazing, Ruefrex, The Outcasts who were great, Shock Treatment etc... bands who never made it and didnt care cos they are still around in some form or another and like me are in their 40's and 50's

if u ask me these where the real punks. they lived in northern ireland as strummer said. if punk was hard then ulster was war zone. these where the real punks with no money for equipment they had to sell themselves making theyre own records etc best punk band alongside the clash and sex pistols
