I really wanted to hate the "Dawn Of The Dead" remake as I'm not a big fan of remakes. But I ended up loving it. I still prefer the original but the remake is cool. Maybe its secret was to have totally different characters. It was more like "Dawn Of The Dead 2 - Another Bunch, Another Mall". Of coarse Carpenter's "The Thing" also is a great remake. But most of them suck.
Cute qizmo I see in the background! =) I gave my girlfriend him for her birthday last year! so cute when he sings=) and i stutter all the tim! haa..I really loved The Texas Chainsawe Massacre Reamake as well!..I enjoyed TCM the Beggining also. Heck I love all The movies in the TCM series ! ha..some movre than others of course..Great vid! =)
Hey Steph, sorry you are not so good. What a super trooper for the horror cause. Loving the spectacled secretarial look ;) . Very well presented comparisson & view on the two TCM movies, great stuff Steph. Be well soon.
Get well soon. Glad to hear that you liked this film. But you know the hooking scene was taking from the original where the girl get impailed on a meathook.
sorry to hear you are not feeling well, hope you feel better soon. A great pick, TCM is one of my fav horror franchises and i really enjoyed the remake as well, i thought R. Lee Ermey as Sheriff Hoyt was a great character. And nice to see a scary Leatherface after the awful TCM "NEXT GENERATION" where they made him a dish washing, make-up wearing gimp. Thanks for keeping up with the challenge :-)
To hard for me to pick, I've enjoyed all the remakes I've seen. TCM 2003 remake was a excellent film. Personally I get tired off all the remake horror fans that complain non stop about remakes. The key is don't compair them to the original. A remake is a new image of a film with a fresh perspective on things. In my opinion horror fans can be WAY to picky instead of looking at all the quality a film brings in it's unique inspiring way to the table. Hey! get well Steph or Hoyt might comeknocking
I saw the TCM remake a while back and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Very intense, very gory, and exciting. Leatherface has never looked scarier. (Have you seen the prequel TCM: The Beginning, btw?) And you can't go wrong with R. Lee Ermey as the uber-deranged Sheriff Hoyt.
Great vid as always, Steph. And hope you feel better.
Very sorry to hear you're not feeling well. I completely understand about continuing with the challenge even when you are not doing well. I to share that boat trip. Nice pick by the way, I really enjoyed that remake as well. Get better and rest when you can as much as you can.

Mine would be John Carpenter's The Thing. The original sucks ass, and he made it so much better and darker.
Never saw the remake, but might give it a view. I wasn't really that into the original. (SO SUE ME).

Emery is fuckin amazing, for the hand full of movies that guys in, he's always awesome... he really needs to do more stuff.
I'm a big Rob Zombie fan so of course, I love his re-imagining of Halloween. It was a great new vision that showed us a cool new angle.
