I am so happy to find this video. I have been the independent woman, single mother, who had to work and do everything. I didn't trust. My previous relationship were everything was pretty much dutch was stressful and crazy. In my current relationship I am happy to say caring for the home and my significant other is wonderful. I see why it is preferred, its that total and complete trust and confidence. Communication and trust go a long way.

It's clear these women love just sitting around the house watching tv. Of course they do the house work etc, but they love their creature comforts, they are home bodies really. But I bet if the didn't live in such a quiet place and had more social friends they would be different, but really these are just women that actually just prefer being in the home, not the going out types.

Not anywhere in there did she say she wasn't social or didn't have friends. I'm sure she has plenty of friends, and I'm sure they probably both have mutual friends that they go out with. You're criticizing these women as if what they're doing is wrong. Women are trying these days to take on the role of men, and that in turn makes men feel insufficient. This is what is destroying marriages, because men and women aren't giving each other what they need.

This would be lovely if I can afford it. I think it's perfectly reasonable for one half of the couple to stay and look after the home and kids, it is a full time job in an extreme sense of the word. I don't see that it would make a difference whether it was the man or woman that take the role of homemaker, it all depends on the talents of the individuals. Unfortunately, many couples just can't afford to do this. We could not live on my husband's wages alone at the moment.

@yeci86 Yes, I know now they edited it. I actually was in contact with Courtney. But when watching the show, how is anyone supposed to know it was edited? Personally, if I did the show, I would of not allowed it to be aired without God being glorified. They just made her out to look like June Cleaver who pampers her husband and has nothing to do with God. There was no reason for the way you responded. I was not throwing stones, now who is judging?

It seems like Courtney is there to keep her husband from looking like a failure. There is just such an emphasis on appearances. I'm sure that it works for them, but I know in my life I wouldn't feel like we were married and partners working together but like we were living two separate, parallel lives. Great, if it works for you. It would never work for us.

If this was all i'd ever seen of them i'd think differently than what i do now i take the time to read her blog and watch her personal videos. So from what i know of them, they dont at all live parallel lives - infact the complete opposite - they work toghether - without one the other would work :)

I think a woman who takes on those responsibilities is showing her husband respect and that is what men crave more than anything else... because she is showing him respect, he shows her love, the one thing women crave and need.... this is why it works. :)

I lived this life for many years until I had to work outside the home. After 7 years of trying to do it all, I long for the day I can quit my job and stay home!! I do nothing well because I'm spread too thin.
