It was a worn out valve lifter. I have sold the car unfortunately, now I know how to repair it. (allthough the valves are not that easy reachable) Last week I've replaced the complete rocker shaft of my 1982 Fiat Panda, which had the same problem. I've replaced it for a hydraulic one from a 2000 Seicento. I never knew that a Panda -especially that old- could be so noiseless :P
Sounds like the Camshaft. On the 1124cc engine if the car is used for short journey's the breather can get blocked. This leads to oil starvation on the camshaft feed. It's a known issue with this engine. Suggest you check the breather and clean it out and get the camshaft changed. Also as this engine shares its oil with the gearbox, I'd recommend that you change the oil every 3000miles (not sure what that is in KM) or every 6 mths whatever arrives sooner.
strangely enough the engine sometimes all ready sounds like a 3-cylinder. I started the engine without spark plug, and by then the ticking noise was much softer (so without pressure in the cylinder)
Sounds like a broken camshaft. At least one of the cams on it may have lost its shape, so the clearance between the cam and the valve rocker has grown too big and this causes the noise probably. It gets worse rapidly, soon you'll only have a 3-cylinder engine. The parts for that "Douvrin" engine shouldn't be a problem or even too expensive.
Valve clearance, then proper weight oil with factory bypass oil filter. Then let us know.

i think it is a loose tappet so i would advise to get someone to cheak your engine's valve clearances then it will stop the noice

Gisteren gedaan, bleek hard nodig. Hij tikt nog steeds een beetje, maar lang niet meer zo erg als eerst.
