Charlie I Moved to Indiana back in 1992, the Area I now live I moved to back 1999, Since then manufacturing jobs been moving out. A lot of them Automobile manufacturing jobs and jobs that support them. My mom was laid-off from Zollner Pistons which moved to Mexico and Central America. Our county has the lowest factory pay of any county around and Indiana Business Review says we are down 30,000 jobs of Population of 253,691 now we are left with low pay restaurant and retail stores.

I am a Quality Coordinator for a global business. We have manufacturing plants in America, Mexico, Turkey, and China among others. And comparetively China makes the best products around. Our facility over there 100% inspects everything that comes out of their building, compared to 10% here. They don't produce junk. They do have a future, hell, their approach to business is the future.

Ive been out and in jobs since 1997, and since jan of this year I been unemployed and still counting. I live in southern Georgia, small town, poverty strickened, while some people here drive nice cars, the majority of younger people like me suffer diving on streets for quarters. We have 15 percent unemployment, and once a person is out of work for over a year, the Federal Government stops counting them in the statistics. The real number is closer to 25 percent. Unemployment was 25 percent during the Great Depression.

I know things are hard. Where I work I've survived two rounds of lay-offs. If there is a third I'm not sure I'll make it. I'm 48 and thats awful old to be job hunting in this economy.

Charlie I Moved to Indiana back in 1992, the Area I now live I moved to back 1999, Since then manufacturing jobs been moving out. A lot of them Automobile manufacturing jobs and jobs that support them. My mom was laid-off from Zollner Pistons which moved to Mexico and Central America. Our county has the lowest factory pay of any county around and Indiana Business Review says we are down 30,000 jobs of Population of 253,691 now we are left with low pay restaurant and retail stores.

I am a Quality Coordinator for a global business. We have manufacturing plants in America, Mexico, Turkey, and China among others. And comparetively China makes the best products around. Our facility over there 100% inspects everything that comes out of their building, compared to 10% here. They don't produce junk. They do have a future, hell, their approach to business is the future.

Nobody believes tragedy until it happens to them. Our economy is far from fine.
We have 15 percent unemployment, and once a person is out of work for over a year, the Federal Government stops counting them in the statistics. The real number is closer to 25 percent. Unemployment was 25 percent during the Great Depression.

I'm not saying we should let the government take care of everyone. I'm saying, it would be great if our country's economy wasn't in the shitter our dollar was worth as much as it use to be, and people had a chance to get a decent job. fuck, even if you go apply to a shit job now there are already 100 other applications ahead of you.

I know things are hard. Where I work I've survived two rounds of lay-offs. If there is a third I'm not sure I'll make it. I'm 48 and thats awful old to be job hunting in this economy.
History is full of examples of what happens when good people allow their reason to be clouded by fear. When we are afraid the people who offer us simple answers and handy scap-goats come out of the woodwork.
I refuse to give into panic.

I think it is meant to make people aware. the biggest problem with this country is that people do not research or stay informed about politics, because they do not care. (they have better things to do, like read Us Weekly, or watch survivor) we are all children refusing to become responsible adults. we raise our children to be children and this is what happens.

I don't think I called anyone a "fundamentalist" though I do agree they exist. As a Republican my problem is that the "fundamentalists", in the form of Social Conservatives and foreign policy Neo-Conservatives have dragged the party to the right, away from the main stream just as you say. These are the folks who got a win for Bush in 2006 when he should have lost and dragged McCain right in 2010, causing him to loose. As for "real people", the last thing we need is well intentioned amatures.
