I don't know where you found the 'digital carbon credit' idea, but it's definitely not a Greenpeace thing.

Sign On is asking John Key to commit New Zealand to a 40% emission reduction target by 2020, the bare minimum the science demands. There is no longer any credible scientific argument against anthropogenic climate change.

Greenpeace also has no political or corporate ties, so your claims of corporate reach are false. Greenpeace is solely supported by individuals.

The ice-caps of mars (which is actually dry-ice) are melting due to changes in the planets tilt toward the sun, and is not caused by increased solar radiation. In fact, we have seen decreased solar activity since 1990.

i think the person talking about NZ being an island nation is assuming that the emissions will be soluble in our water but im not sure if thats correct. it would be a very valid point if it is true though as we would be putting less green house gases into the atmosphere

New Zealand is the world's fourth biggest emitter per capita, we have the second highest SUV ownership rate in the world, and we still don't have any form of Emissions Reduction Target. That's what the Sign On campaign is about, asking New Zealanders to Sign On to the petition supporting John Key to do the right thing, by committing to a 40% by 2020 target.

China has a target, and is doing amazing things with renewables.
