  • What a delight to watch! These birds are so funny and beautiful. Thanks so much for this wonderful video!

  • @my35Xvision You are most welcome, so pleased you enjoyed these amusing birds

  • Does anyone else think that the little noises they make is really cute? I just love their little noises. Also the music really fits the scene.

  • @debbiethemadbee They sound like creaking doors..Thanks for comment, glad you liked the video

  • I wanna Super Like this video! Awesome combo of music & video & just raw playful parrot fun. One of the red crest drank a lot of water! xD

  • @AvgStop Thanks for the comment, glad you liked the video :o)

  • LOL at the music. I love birds.

  • @lquelette Glad you liked them, thanks for comment

  • Na I'm in morwell, Victoria all of the gang gangs that are around this area come from Mt baw baw for summer as they seek for colder weather

  • Hey I don't want to sound up myself or anything but everywhere I read they say the female is the only one with the red crest and 90% of the time there is only one... I love these birds, I hand feed a group of 8 every night b4 dinner, they love the red berries on one of the trees so all I do is pull a branch off and sit on the grass and wait XD I'm glad to have them in my backyard until they head off to Mt baw baw for summer :(....

  • @P1r4t3Pr0duct10n5 The one with the red head/crest is the male. You are lucky to have 8 of these beauties to hand feed as they are quite rare outside Victoria. Thanks for the comment.

  • @P1r4t3Pr0duct10n5 Correct, the males in the animal word are the colorful ones. Great video!!

  • @littlebrat672 Not always! The female is the bright colored one in the eclectus parrot. They look so amazingly different they were thought to be different species for a long time.

  • @TravellerFellow The male is stunning with his red head, while the female is rather plain. They make a noise just like a creaking door. This country is lucky to have a wide variety of colorful birds and strange animals. Thanks for watching.

  • They are found in some parts of Sydney NSW as well, where I live

  • @AustraJoni Yes there are a few scattered around the east coast of NSW but their main habitat is coastal victoria. Thanks for watching.

  • @OzPix Thanks for posting this video

  • I love this footage and the music just makes it fab, what happened to the fountain why has it gone?

  • @daphneandathos Thanks for the nice comments. The fountain was not maintained by the council. New housing was built nearby, so maybe the new residents didn't like the noise from the Gang Gangs. A great loss as these birds are quite rare.

  • @OzPix It must've been a great spot for bird enthusists. Why are these birds so rare?

  • @vyperspit Land clearing has endangered their survival. They are only found in a small area of Southern Victoria.

  • Fabulous, great editing, love the sound track.

  • @Battie057 Thanks for the great comments, glad you liked it.

  • Amazing video.I lovly.

  • @roxy0184 Thanks, glad you liked our Gang Gangs.

  • Just beautiful, have only ever seen them twice in the wild in the Grampians.A group of 6 and a pair on there own.

  • @kokanekitty Yes they are quite rare. We revisited this area recently and the fountain has gone and they are no longer there. Thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed the video

  • Gorgeous! A well produced vid as well. I thought the picture quality was fine.

  • @verticalsmurf Many thanks, glad you enjoyed it.

  • @OzPix - Loved it!

  • Well put together! The music really puts on the finishing touch!

Too bad the picture quality isn't that great.

    Really liked it!

  • @JFdragonfly Thanks for the nice comments. The original quality is great but YouTube made a mess of it when converting. This was before they improved their quality. Have been considering re-uploading.

  • Beautiful film, I would love to see them in their own environment!!

  • @ikbengeenhuisdier

Thanks, We were very lucky to video them as they are quite rare.

  • Que suerte teneis los autralianos eh,

    saludos

  • Sí, gracias por un comentario

  • Beautiful vid! The music adds a little bit of humour to it :P I feel so privileged to live in a country that has so many beautiful bird species, like the cockatoo and parrots. I live in Adelaide so we don't see gang-gangs, however I have seen them in the wild when we were in Victoria some years ago.

  • Thanks for your comment. These little guys are a favourite of ours. We were very lucky to video them at that time as the fountain no longer exists.

  • Ahah that piece totally fits this scene. These cockatoos are endemic to Australia, no? They are such entertaining birds.

And great job with the vid, 5/5 ofc

  • Yes they are only found in Australia. Thanks for watching, so pleased you found them entertaining.

  • love them, a very good friend of mine just got one of these. We call it an upside down african grey or his pet door hinge.

  • The latter name is exactly right, lol, thanks for watching

  • You are welcome. That season was the second "parrot tracking" trip I took through Australia. It was my intention to see as many of the 52 species of Australian parrots as possible. It took two trips to end up with a tally of 16. Sadly I never saw any Budgerigars even though they are numerous and have a vast range. Their nomadic nature and following of seeding spinifex after sparse rainfall complicated the tracking to say the least!

  • I first saw Gang Gangs in the wild when driving down the highway 23 from Canberra to the Princess Highway en route to Melbourne via the coast. It was dusk and they were high in the eucalypts feeding. The sound they made was exactly as Joseph Forshaw describes in PARROTS OF THE WORLD ... the sound of a rusty nail being pulled out of an old wood beam, or a creaking door opening. And later as dusk gave way to night, they flew overhead just as he described they do: silently and owl-like.

  • Thanks for the info

  • Thank you so much! Really enjoyed!

  • Thanks, so pleased you enjoyed it

  • this was such a beautiful video! Like heaven, thanks for posting, Amy

  • Awesome footage and lovely editing.

Love the Gang Gang's, they're my favs!

  • I think it's wonderful! I'd do anything for a little gang gang friend! :)

Pity they fetch up to $25,000 in the US each! :(

  • Yes, they are very cute. They are quite rare and few Aussies have seen these little cockatoos in the wild as they live in mountain areas in the south. We recently revisited the site but found the fountain had been replaced by a block of holiday units - and no Gang Gangs to been seen anywhere!

  • That is a pitty... but at least there is the video of it! They are very cool little birds.

I wish I could find a photograph of the Gang-gang x Galah hybrid somewhere though... that would be something interesting to see.

  • Still looks all chopped up with pixels, sad as the detail of the birds is lost.

Curious to exactly how you are encoding..??

    At least its a comment!

  • DivX as recommended by YouTube. A lot depends on content.. feathers and water are bad news..The uploaded DivX looks great but falls apart after YouTubes encoding.... About time they improved their quality
