@PRocker320 heavy rain is barely a game. Its basically one big cutscene with quicktime events. Even so, it doesn't look as good as these tech demos. When they show a tech demo with otto octavious they make people think that a spiderman game or maybe just some kind of action game will actually look like that...which is just not true.

@my89tube No, they used it to show what graphics it's capable of. And it is. Heavy Rain was *almost*, but now quite, that detailed when you got close to the character models. Then again, did Heavy Rain use all the PS3's cores? I don't think any game has yet.

I agree that the PS3 has not reached its full potential, but i think that photorealistic graphics will be impossible in this generation, i mean, you can see the original playstation rex tech demo and see how amazing was, but its only one thing (the rex) to process, add the scenario and enemies and sounds etc...

PS : The 'PS4' and 'Xbox 720' will be nice^^

I think that developers are just starting to tap into the full potential of the PS3. Developers had 3 months to make some sort of Demo for the PS3. This is one of those Demos. I think we'll see some of this stuff during gameplay once developers use the PS3's full potential.

Because developers are lazy and are just looking for a quick cash-in. Unless they are developers like Quantic Dream or Kojima Productions. Those guys make some high-quality games.

O_O! WOW some one figured out the graphics and here all I been hereing is that ps3 could not be more detailed then xbox funny I have not seen any thing as close to that on the 360.
