I've noticed more than one comedy sketch in England where someone just breaks into French for a whole joke. I've also noticed that the audience has no problem getting the joke. Now, I took French in school, but I can't understand most of this. Are English people really that much smarter than us?  Or do they have some kind of regular exposure to the language outside of a school setting that I'm not aware of? Just wondering.

As you can see, the lyrics means nothing most of the time. I think the girls just want to say funny french words, even of the sentences mean nothing.

I tried to translate this with a french friend, it doesnt really work, but what they are saying is "will you bang my dustbin" .... i.e. being very slaggy
