@MartyzCarz Its the same. I dont have time to do it right now when im in school. Plus its far from me after school i live close to my car but when im at school im far from it.
yeah thats all it says hope you can find a junkyard with parts or try eBay they have almost everything and im gonna try and save my Merc next month if it all goes according to plan they i'll tape it
@MartyzCarz why not tape it as soon as you can? I did. Once i got a camera i took videos. But i had better ones on my old camera of how my car was before i dug it out and moved stuff for it. And i did it all by myself at age 15.
@06DESMARAIS I plan to if im able to get it next month im 15 too i love cars and like to learn all i can possibly learn about them i picked a car in good shape because right now i need to get it running to get me to a job and back home your Ford Farilane 500 Club Coupe is going to be a killer all fixed up hope my Mercury Monterey Special Custom Coupe looks half as good fixed up. Don't Crush em, Restore em!
@MartyzCarz haha like your motto. I just cant stand seeing a classic all abused. And when i saw my grandpas old 1957 Ford Fairlane 500 Club Sedan all abused at his old house(my uncles house) i had to get it
@MartyzCarz I'm trying to make it original. Like it came out of the Factory line in 57. But with much more care. I'm going to put some custome stuff but not on the body or anything. more like the undercareage. because im going to drive it ALOT! hahaha I'm not going to restore it to just sit again. Yes its a classic but not a stachew. There built for driveing. I totally love classic cars but why restore it just to sit again as like it was before. Yah its all nice but your just defeating it.
@06DESMARAIS Yeah its a shame they just let them sit and the only custom things im gonna do to mine is a Sirius Satellite Radio and maybe a 12 volt electrical system the rest is gonna be all original i can wait im dying to get my hands on that car
@MartyzCarz yah. people that make me mad are rich people that just buy the car, keep it for a lil then sell it just to say they had one. Also people that buy a classic that dont understand the time and hard work that was put into it. And people that have to sell there classic. I mean its sad but its there choice. Or people that want to make a quick buck. I would never sell my car. For how much time and hard work, swet, tires, and blood just up to the point i have it now! I'm never selling my baby
@06DESMARAIS im not going to sell mine either its number 2 on my list of drean cars number 1 is a 1958 Edsel Citation 2 door and i dont get why they never drive them except for the ocational car show i mean really they were built to be drove every day and thats what im going to do im never getting a modern car always gonna be a classic there are some that wont get saved the'll be used for parts and stuff but i want to save as many as i can because there just great cars Don't Crush em Restore em!
@MartyzCarz yah, theres lots of classics cars that alot of people can restore. Thousands! but no they get bored and tose then to the side for a new car. Even though they where made in a factory, they have more care from the factory than new cars of today. I guess people dont drive then to much because of the V8 engines. And those engines take alot of gas and dont save any. But you could still get a lower engine to put in, theres no law of witch engine to have.
@06DESMARAIS some V8s have good gas milage like Flathead Fords the engines last much longer too these new ones die after about 100,000 miles i saw a 62 Mercury Comet a lady got brand new it had almost 600,000 original miles on it i was gonna customize my Mercurys flathead for more power but im gonna leave it stock for fuel economy later i may add some poweri have a friend who wants to race against my car in a 2011 Mustang but for the most part 125 Horse Power is enough to get me where im going
@MartyzCarz I just dont want to have any engine that i cant have running. well if times change any we switch to much more of a better way of power to get around. i will some have put that engine i my car. but not cut anything, i'll try to work around parts or take parts off. like if i dont need a full tank for the engine. like the electic engine. But think they need to go back to those classic styles of the 50's. everthing in those days where classy.
@MartyzCarz When i get my car done i want to spend a day like im in the 50's. Go to a Drive-In threater, and go to a Drive-In resturant. Also i'll dress classy with a nice button up shirt, tie, dress pants, shiny shoes and pompaed hair all slick and drink some coca cola out of the classic bottles. Just a classic day in wich i think the 50's where like. None of the bad like the races stuff but the good American classic fun of the 50's.
@06DESMARAIS cool i want to cruze up and down like a main street or something show off my car a little bit go to some car shows then polish it just enjoy it
To get rust off of chrome and to make the chrome look like new use Steel Wool you can get it at walmart for like 3 bucks BRILLO PAD's are the best and have water to rinse the brillo pad soap off will also work on the hood roof trunk lid and that stuff CAUTION WILL REMOVE PAINT but if you dont mind loosing the paint go ahead and use the steel wool to get the rust off as many areas as you can may or may not work on very deep thick rust but will work for sure on chrome no matter the rust deepness
hows your car coming anyway? havent seen any videos in a while
