@Duel53 there are DOZENS of issues that can cause this problem. The main few are;

*overheating 2 rings

*av cable not connected 4 rings

*overusing it 3 or 1 ring

There is a guide in the description that describes all the rings and how to fix them.

before you do this i suggest getting a fan because the xbox will work like this but you need the fan to keep it from getting hot believe me i had my xbox working for a about 2 months with a fan behind it

Then try to open it

If it works just put your hard drive back on

thanx dude. I have an xbox 360 elite jasper and one day it just wasnt reading my disks. So i go to youtube and a tutorial in which the guy taped the edge of the xbox to make the disks run corectly. I taped it really lightly 2 times and guess what? i got the rrod. So, after so much searching, i find you vid, and although its not a permanent fix, i thank you. @VuLTuRev3 all i can say is read the description, if they dont work you may have to send it back to mircosoft for repair, is your xbox in warranty? if not you could always open and fix it yourself, there are plently of youtube videos on how to do it :)
