Muslims in the Arab world have a negative image of America because of how they were treated after September 11th. Generalization that because one Muslim did something wrong, the rest of them are all bad and their religion is bad. Because of Israel and Palestine, some refuse to acknowledge the holocaust simply because they are educated about it in a biased way. What Obama said, is what people need to hear. Hell, they didn't really even start the first world war... granted, a couple Serbian rebels did kill Franz Ferdinand, but it was Austria-Hungary which declared war.
