i am currently serving my last year in the army i plan to do the survival, drilling and riggers courses as a resettlement. can any one give me advice on finding work and are these courses a good idea?? thanks.

You won't get a job with the 3 day riggers course anymore. Most companies need time served riggers with the OPITO assessment.

BOSIET greenhand are the min to start you offshore. You won't get on a drill floor or rigger straight away. Once off you can try for other courses.

Most agencies have over 1500 guys on their books waiting for places, even experienced guys have difficulty getting jobs. IT IS NOT EASY.

Maybe when oil prices rise a bit you will find it easier but just now its shite!

As you will read from the vid description it is flaring as the semi is not capable of handling the gas. So its either flare or explode .... now what would be a bigger problem? I bet you don't complain when the gas and electricity flows to your house and you go shopping in your car?
