  • informative video...amazing!

  • Commercial Solar Panels are too Expensive!

The only option you have is to Build Your own Solar Panels

There is an Engineer from Chicago who explains it All

You can find his web site by Searching Google for...

    "Top DIY Solar Panels"

  • nice .. i'll try this technique ..:)

  • Vatican- NAZIS- SocialistsCFR (luciferian jews) run the world. The Globalist, the international bankers, secret societies, organized religions ruled by an elite bloodline, same bloodline ruling from Egypt 2 Rome 2 British (European) Empire 2 now American Empire (1913 Fed Reserve). Presidents & Kings stand at whim of the real power which is the priest hood (Priests - Bishops - Cardinals - Pope) standing behind the throne - trying to form it's one world luciferian gov't

  • Sealant, sealant, sealant. I don't like the idea of screwing thru the roof so much. And how many of those panel installs do I have to make to get to 2KWs for my average sized home? And where do the wires go? Thru another hole (possible water leak)? Yikes!

I saw these solar shingles and they look like the way to go when I re-roof my house this summer... PowerShingle by Uni-Solar

  • @ecdfann 3M 5200 marine sealant... What else can one say?

  • you wasted 15 minutes of my life talking about nothing. i still cant figure out how to install my solar panels.

  • Hello, Liked the video. On Earth Day I won a green design contest for my home energy system the RoofMill. Have a look at my home wind turbine videos of installing and running Hybrid Energy Systems. Friends and Subscribers Wanted. Later ,

    Peace, Sam

  • sad that the trees are growing, thus giving u less energy in the future..

unless, u wanna do some chopping?

  • Its smart to have them tracking the sun its a waste to just put them on the Roof

  • he didn't know why the one cell being shaded causes the string to go out in the begining there. Isn't that because of the diodes in the cells that are meant to block voltage from the batteries when not being used? I'm just guessing, but if I'm wrong, I'd like to know. Thanks for sharing the video.

  • @Authorityk just use your brain think about it wake up to the real world, a lot of people is going green because they care about the reality, * Money environment* for sure you are an stuo= millionaire

  • @Authorityk

Thre are two uses of diodes in solar panel systems:

1: Blocking diode, for preventing battery drainage, connected in series with the panel.

    2. Bypass diode, for bypassing a defective or shaded panel/cell, connected in paralell with the panel. Used in strings of panels.

  • Now there are LED light bulbs. Very expensive now, but highly energy frugal and no disposal issues. They last an estimated 20 years too. Most likely will get cheaper to buy over time.

  • great video....

  • They're showing slides at 37 minutes, yet the camera is on the speaker instead of the slides. That was disappointing.

  • Nice informational video, I would like to focus in on the slide presentations the guest speakers are talking about ,rather than to keep looking at them.

  • This last guy is a typical American idiot.

he wants your money and guaranteed he will rip you off.

global warming is a fraud just like this LIAR.

go google CLIMATE GATE and think for yourself.........very diificult for Americans though

  • @Hroark7 I love people who say think for yourself when they spew the moronic opinions of the ignorant. Take your own advice think for your self for a change. The only fact is theres a problem and some people would like to do something to change the status quo thats thinking for yourself. Stand up for true independence or shut the fxxx up.

  • @jocomag4

your hypocracy is so humorous.......hmmmm..independence or shut the fuck up...hmmm seems a little tyranical "Sir"...and dangerous....but "we" will ALL do as you tell us...& I am sure you would Love more LAWS to enforce your LIES and independence...

"Think for yourself ".......ohhh you are a laugh....Another happy huxlian

  • @Hroark7 hmmmmmmmmmmm to stupid to think for yourself hmmm you moron you wouldnt know independence if it slapped you in the face and learn to spell before you reply. And I know its really hard but please for the sake of the rest of us think for your self

  • don't watch american videos if you have such problems with us. And if you think global warming is a fraud, LOL. In 50 years when we can't go outside without sunscreen, I hope you get burned.

  • @Authorityk The WHOLE world is sick of dumb ,indoctrinated fascist Americans like you.

But hey ,enjoy your Depression you low IQ piece of shit.

please STAY in America.Enjoy your Austerity plans and the debt .

Soon to be downgraded USDs .....

no one will buy your bonds moron...

America is finished...and indoctrinated fodder like you are irrelevant..

you're a Joke ...loser ,just like your bankrupt nation.

Climate Gate.Even the Aussie primeminister got dumped trying to push that fraud

  • @Hroark7 You are talking on an American based website to an American who wasn't touched by the depression. Just goes to show how stupid you are. Second, what "great country" do you live big guy???? I don't care how stupid you think we are, there isn't a Nation in the world that could touch us. We are still the worlds greatest Superpower. It's just sad that people like you are so jealous that you have to rant on American sites, esecially sites like this one which promotes Alternative energies. FU

  • @Authorityk You really are an idiot and a loser.

just STAY in the USSA.go wipe your Arse with "your" Constitution and bill of rights and your currupt and privately owned Federal Reserve...

what country NewZealand....better in EVERY WAY...

again STAY in your fascist shithole....

your'e a joke and also know VERY little about solar power...lol..

  • @Authorityk super power of pollution

  • @Authorityk Go read the Constitution and Bill of Rights ,you piece of shit....

losers like you are history....a relic of the past.....fade away moron

  • wow nice video and its 1hour!

  • Now I built my own solar panel system, thanks step by step guide

  • saving energy is excellent. Don't be an energy pig like Al Gore.

  • @efisjenzie

he not an energy pig more like a whore.

making money off of scammed idiots.

  • I built my own Solar Panels for under $100, as well as a Solar Water Heater for under $10 that I am currently using to power my 1700 Square Foot home using the plans at:

    ambigrid-review.blogspot(DOT)com

  • especially the flickering light is reported to give a lot of people headaches, especially if it's the only light source in a room you regularly stay in(living, working room etc...).

The metallic mercury content makes the manufactoring and disposal processes ecologically questionable.

  • -they produce a very unfortunate kind of light to work and live in: a spectral distribution with only several peaks in it, in high contrast to sunlight or other thermal radiation light sources.

-even worse, this light flickers heavily to the mains frequency, which regular/halogen bulps don't do due to thermal decay delay

-they are much more susceptible to decreasing their expected life span if you switch them regularly then regular bulps.

-the are undimmable(you can't fractionally power them)

  • 10:20 fluorascend bulbs, compact or in regular tube shape, aren't really eco-friendly:

-contain mercury in metallic, but at least in an amalgam form. so DON'T BREAK THEM! don't throw them in regular garbage can! they need special waste disposal techniques

-they produce more electromagnetic smog with pronounced higher harmonics than many cell phones and far more than most old TV/PC cathod raytubes

  • it is nice. But it cost more to install and repair, than just use the old system (nuc power) :)

  • I think nuclear can be made to be safe and clean given some efforts were spent to do so. Lets say oil vanished and Sun light was nearly gone, not the suns fault but our atmosphere fault. Scientist would get of that ass and make nuclear the norm.

  • k this video is for rich people. who have nothing to do with money. this video was boring as heck. sorry to say but counting shade and hours and so on. boring.... cut the trees down. waste of time.

  • so sorry, the information is too much for your small mind.

  • homeboy listen up, whats the point of spending 25,000 USD on a shitty system that will run 30 or 20 yrs only. and within that time u spend the same amount of money. going green is about putting money in ur wallet. going GREEN as in the MONEYYYY, small mind pft please u dont even know me homeboy. grow up. germany has better shit for solar cells. better technology.

  • To expensive. Going green is about going green in the wallet.

  • The audio sucks. PLEASE next time put a microphone on his lapel. You HAVE the technology, so why not use it to improve communication.

  • the speaker is the kind of guy with all the flaming fudge bags on his porch on Halloween, piss in his canteen, and a sign on his back "Kick me, HARD". Just your basic douche bag who knows just enough to blow the adequate amount of facts up your tailpipe to get you to waste cash on his lame system.

  • Solar panels are banned by most Homeowners Associations.

So most homeowners will never be allowed to take advantage of this technology

  • Anything in your yard or on your roof can be blown to smitherines and actually become dangerous projectiles in a powerful storm.

No one mentions electrical or wind storm situations.

I've had solar water heating panels destroyed twice on my roof in 5yrs.

What happens when your roof needs to be replaced?

What danger of roof leakage results?

These are the little secrets that aren't discussed here.

  • Installed by idiots, idiotic results.

  • Great ♥ !!! I have FULL step-by-step guide "HOW TO BUILD CHEAP SOLAR PANELS FOR HOME"

  • Solar tech is still very expensive. What they don't tell you in these videos is how much they really spent to run a home on solar energy.

In a place like California where homes are very expensive and electricity costs a lot, it's probably worth the upfront expense.

In general however, solar technology won't take off until it reaches critical mass. That's when more money would go into research, resulting in better cheaper panels affordable to everybody.

  • Very true.

  • And since Google is run by the CIA since its a Huge IPO. They know that the US is being destroyed by design. There going to make sure that there kids wife ect is going to have guns food water and power no matter what. Not too stupid. But as smart as they are shoulc have gotten some small windmills.

  • also, these google jackasses obviously have the salary to build expensive solar kits that the everyday working schmuck could never afford. This is just people who do not have to go off the grid, doing it to add legitimacy to their useless existence. Overpaid geeks suck. Come and join the "plebs" in nowhereland, we will take care of you guys. Come and slum it with us.

  • CFL lights are so fucking gay.

  • Google has been data mining and selling all of our info to the NSA and the CIA. Fuck Google. Billion dollar empire of shit. What started out as a good idea is just another bunch of sellouts getting their corporate greed and cyber control grid on.

  • I've lived off-grid with a 8kw/day system for 4 years and these guys are airheads.

I agree, first focus on intelligently reducing demand. Second, size the system for the need.

But don't go for cheap golf cart batteries! Requires more maintenance - you have to check/fill 3 cells for every battery - that typically is 36-48 cells to check every month or so! Best alternative are forklift batteries, L16's.

  • "obviously we want to install solar panels because it looks cool, it makes a statement." this guy is such a dork, typical of the new trendy poseurs jumping on the bandwagon. It reminds me of the Prius owners dishing out 20,000 bucks to "save the planet", hypocritical. If you want to save the planet stop driving and start walking. Do solar for the benefits, not to be trendy and keep up with the jonesers.

  • I hope someone reads this ... I live in Florida the sunshine state I was told again today that solar dose not work for the cost of installing and equitment to get $250 solar kit to run a fan and two light builb is nothing well in time of disaster and/or survival a fan and two lights is a big deal for me a person who only get $850 disabltiy gov check that is a lot of money. "To run 10kw power/ 30AMPS for a normal Florida house people IS Impossible with solar" northern states do

  • i have got 2. 80 w 12v panels but have got 48v inverter do i get one more 80w panel ?????

  • your an idiot 2x 12v panels equals 24v one more is going to make what?! 24+12 = 36v fuck sakes

  • hey idiot, it's: "you're an idiot," not, "your an idiot."

  • now now children :P

  • Irregardless

  • Yes!!! people from ALL over the world!!

    we need to wake up!!!

to be more independent ,more open

READ ,educate , RUN for your LIVES!!!!

    GOOD luck,

    and "Don't panic!"

  • Nice, thanks for sharing! It gave me a chance to figure out how much our family would need when we move and go off the grid! yay!

  • I think the point of living off the grid is to get away from a system where you need money. I think its funny how theres no real videos on here on how to go about hooking yourself up with solar or wind energy, unless you pay up for the knowledge!

  • hey kosovo101 i have put up free information on installing a tesla radiant energy panel, which was the first solar panel and discovery in history. the patent was called"utilization of radiant energy" patented 1901. the set up is very basic but shows how solar power was first begun by nikola teslas colorado springs research. please check it out, i show you how to build it for free! tell me what you think,

  • Oh well thanx then! nikola tesla wanted to give power to everyone for free! if only he were a millionare then to have funded it! what a difference life woulda become! OK im gonna go check that out now.

  • I dont think its worth paying.. they should just give it for free.. unless they will come help you and do consultation.. then it might be worth paying.. I wish i could do this ..

  • @kosovo101 : I will teach you how to hook up solar and wind power in your home. Lesson 1: Have a wad of money in your pocket. Lesson 2: be prepared to drill holes in your home and piss off your wife. Lesson 3: Spend countless hours beating your brains in trying to figure out battery problems. But seriously, if you have questions, I'd be happy to help. Just go to my site and leave me a message.

  • @Authorityk Bah don't let douches like them get to you. There's a crap load of foreign haters that only diss on america or "Western" cultures. I just came here to look at some cool setups of panels, batteries.. cost all that junk.

My electric Bill hovers around $300 a month in Illinois and i would like to pocket that money. Imo Solar Panels are along the lines of renovating & renting houses. It's an investment.. that you will see a HUGE return on + independency.

  • @kosovo101 Sadly that is how it is in American.. Everything is locked away behind money.. 1 room or book at a time. Unless you take the time to look at the WHOLE picture.. you'll never know.

  • @kosovo101

there is 7456745746365467567543672 of info on the web and read

  • @kosovo101 thats exactly the freaking problem. i wanna learn but noone teaches the whole thing!!!

  • @kosovo101 Your exactly right...if they sold wind turbines and solar panels at home depot, Lowes and and Menards with do it yourself instructions we would have all been off grid 20 years ago. Its a scam...I think...if the average shopper can't pick the stuff up at a home store after billions of dollars and 5 decades of technology increase something is not right.

  • The speaker keeps saying ah...ah...ah and the video keeps stopping. the speaker will say two or three words and it cuts off again.

  • Thank you very much for the information. I love learning right here in my pajamas, instead of all that dress up and travel mess. Fantastic!

  • ZZZZZZZZZZZZ Boring

  • I have all my house powered with solar panels. I never pay for electricity. I GET PAID for selling electricity. I have full instructions on how to make very cheap home made solar panels.

  • are panels effective in DC/VA??

  • Very informative; thanks for sharing!

  • I just read that a guy in Africa found a new material that has made all the present solar panels obsolete. His material makes it possible to even run your home in the winter under cloud cover. A company in Germany is supposed to build them but as far as I found they are only going to be available commercially. It Figures. No one wants to help the home owner get away from high utility bills.

  • Great) I have instruction on how to make your own solar panel!

  • You can really save thousands on your electricity bill utilizing these systems. Build one yourself with affordable materials

  • If you could save 100 or 300 a month.

yes it a very good investment. :)

  • Do you always have to use sun light to charge a solar cell battery. Or is it possible to use laser light or even infared light as well. For places like a diver deep under water or in dark night like on a James bond spy movie were his watch needs charging at night don't think moon light will work so shining a laser on watch charge in five minutes. Also should panels be flat or a ball shape to capture all angles of sun light.(when driving in different direction of a car ride.More surface area.

  • man all tehppoorer country like africa would needd this kind of thing

  • do you actually need heat or just light?

  • Many of the people we see live in California. I wonder if panels are effective in northern states?

  • What would Stanley say?

  • Dude, I can't believe I just sat here for an hour watching this.

  • I just had an idea. It says in the video that cooling down the solar panels helps improve the efficiency.

So what about using heatsinks to keep them cool, since spraying them with water can cause damage from thermal shock.

The heatsinks could take the heat away from the panels, improving their effeciency, and the heat directed into a tank for water storage. You can heat your water AND improve your solar energy output!

    I'm brilliant ^.^

  • Interesting. Now if you may, how and what would I need to instal panels for my individual appliences? Thank you

  • i really think people already know the differance power&energy is and how it saves money, i really think you couldve skipped that one. it sounds like a business of some sort was trying to discourage the savings cost of not using their power sources. u dont need a meter, all u need are a panel, insulated wires anda way to turn it off if need be.

  • Its like buying a plasma screen TV a few years ago....they were $10,000. Now a few years later they are a fraction of that. Solar will be cheap as the market increases demand for it!

  • good point Wendy...hopefully the prices of the panels fall more quickly...pretty expensive still.

  • They should make a "roof, solar panel, insulator" ALL IN ONE, then it would be more economical overall serving as a roof, roof insulator and source of power all in one. Anyone doing this yet?

Gees, hook up a rainwater catchment to all that and get your water (from rain) off the square footage of your rooftop as well. Its like hitting 4 birds with one stone

  • Solar panels are useful and a green solution to generate electricity, however, they may cost ~ $10,000 + just to run the house. The investment is large and overtime you will save money but that may take years! Although solar panels are rated as "weather proof" they will eventually (~10 years) begin to break down. Now on the other hand, if you purchase a solar panel (120 V, 8 Amps) and run a magnetic generator, then it may be more worth while.

  • what about using these panels in hail-prone areas? is it even practical?

  • Good point. However, it is not the glass that transforms light rays into electricity, but rather, the silicone under the glass. Even if the glass was chipped, the solar panel would work but less efficiently. Then again, hail storms do not occur on a daily basis especially golf ball sizes that can shatter glass, etc.

  • lol what about bullet proof glass in that situation? Or a much thicker shatter proof glass

  • Are they mass producing those magnetic generators now?

  • No clue, but I guess I started a revolution...

  • On the subject of the sound, I may have had to many windows open.

  • is it just my computer or is the sound cutting in and out. can u fix this it's just abou immposible to watch and listen to!if u can't fix it please take it down. thanks

  • the london broil is very good .

  • AWESOME, I was thinking about using solar for my home

  • Very intresting, the depth of knowladge was great.

  • AWESOME! (FROM THE EAST COAST!)

  • This was a very useful video, especially the comments about how long PV panels last and how easily they are maintained. I wonder, however, if it is advisable to put panels on south or west-facing roofs in winter in New Hampshire. Will snow and ice damage the PV panels? I need to get ice off our roof several times a winter, and I am worried that the panels will get in the way of our traditional awkward roof-rake.

  • its good

  • Thank you so much for posting this.
