  • I recorded this song too, it's on my channel,

Please thumbs up here, so people can see it!

    Thanks!

  • Er, you could release the sustain pedal just occasionally. Even go on to learn to use it correctly.

  • piano lesson book- level 5

    alfred's basic piano library...

    ... correct??

  • If only they'd had the pianoforte in the Baroque era. Then Bach could have heard it flowing like this instead of played in staccato on the harpsichord.

  • col... ...just cool

  • I love playing this, its not hard but it tests your sight reading skills seeing as its very difficult to remember!

  • i think that pianoist got one thing wrong.?

  • first time I heard this song. I am now totally hooked on classical music!

  • Magnífico!!! BRAVO!

  • I love playing this song, it isn't challenging, but still beautiful.

  • Does anyone have a site where I could find the score of this song on the piano?

  • Ugh I'm still trying to learn this but I'm a beginner and it's a little difficult

  • Well done but I think is a little out of tempo... Should be a little bit slowly Am I wrong? Are you using a piano (real piano)?

  • what's this pieces about?anyone know?

  • @AnnWillz Most music in the Baroque era was absolute music, so there was no extra-musical associations.

  • not the best sound quality but beautifully played.

  • i am currently learning how to play this nice work

  • Well done, man; very beautifully played! This is a favourite piece of mine...

  • Hi! Aside from other comments about the dynamics, I suggest using more of a lift at the end of each set of arpeggio to make it sound a little less repetitive. Oh, and lift the sustain more frequently. Good job though, keep at! (:

  • An enchanting piece.

  • Nice...you can let go the sustain now.

  • Hi,

A nice version - though I would agree with what others have mentioned about adding more dynamics.

More importantly though, I think you're playing the measure that begins around 1:50 incorrectly. The RH arpeggio should be GCG, but I think you're playing GDG. Easy mistake to make, as the "octave" arpeggios earlier in the piece are of the GDG shape, but this one is different!

  • missing the dynamics, but still exellent

  • Very well played...bravo

  • this is the first time i have listened to this..and i can't explain why it makes me cry :(

  • @pinkfragile Probably because it is so beautiful - music DOES move our soul. It can make us weep, or rage in anger. It can soothe us when we are frazzled, and it can invigorate us to kick some butt and clean the house! Try the difference in your driving while listening to Marilyn Manson versus listening to Enya, and the difference in your mood from listening to this to listening to Korn or Rage Against the Machine. You'll really get a good sense of what I'm talking about. This song is beautiful.

  • Good job! You played very nicely but I would definitely try to add more dynamics... I didn't really hear any, but maybe it was just the recording.

  • im playing this piece and you have very poor dynamics. you wants to be quiet leading up to the climax. not bad but dynamics ruin it for me.

  • @framinghu101 where is your video?

  • @framinghu101

Try posting to YouTube in legible English, you might get more responses. Otherwise don't criticise others' hard work in putting stuff up here.

  • @framinghu101

You make it look so easy ! One day I will be able to do the same. (I hope) I must agree the dynamics are missing because it's so easy to get lost while playing this piece of music.and totally forget to add the dynamics. I must be careful not to do that. It is such a beautiful piece to become totally lost from the rest of the world. Good Job ! !

  • nice!! make TUTORIAL please!!

  • You may it look so easy. Great job.

  • /watch?v=iYQycn1W3-8 A variation I made...

  • plz fix the audio

  • not bad not bad, has some echo but good...try to play this one and post it its by Mozart piano sonata 16 look it up :D

  • kwl!!! i only do a bit of composin & playin and thats really good

  • would be sexier if you took your shirt off!

  • why you stopped the camera...?? would be great to listen how the sound disappear :) anyway....that's fantastic!!

  • Bravo!!!

  • wow! AMAZING well done guy!!

  • I personally like it a bit faster.

  • Overall discreet notes are ok, lacks expression (f, mf, p,

pp ... you know what I mean?), shades, you keep the pedal down

forever, but should never be used.

  • I JUST FINISHED THAT TODAY! on christmas eve<3 yee

  • You can play this on the left hand only, also...just trivia

    Sounds very nice

  • this sounds like mt moon from pokemon silver.

  • When you were using staccato at the beginning, it didn't sound right. But after you allowed the notes to ring on it was a pleasure to listen to your playing. If you have an electronic keyboard you could use a software like TruePianos or Pianoteq or Pianissimo and change the sound of a crappy keyboard to a wonderful sounding instrument. Well done.

  • your awesome!!!

  • Funny how we're all watching this and commenting on it while we're 'doing homework'. Better than wasting hours on whenparentstext I guess.

  • E=MC Vagina

  • fantastic! i have to learn it...great!

  • Exactly what I'm learning and what I wanna play =)

  • beautiful

  • bad quality + too much noise and reverb

  • it's as easy as it's beautiful

  • @phamsung if this is easy then i SUCK at playing the piano :/

  • this helps me do homework every day

  • @bsquared4444 Yeah, I'm doing homework right now.

  • @bsquared4444 wow, what a coincidence. im doing i right now as i listen to this.

  • @bsquared4444 haha me too sometimes, I just have to listen to this kind of music and I have got the inspiration to do my homework...

  • @bsquared4444

thats exactly what i'm doing.... i have geopolitics homework and i'm reading about poverity and what causes it, this song just adds emotion to what i'm reading, i just wish youtube would finally make a "forever-replay button" !

  • easy sobg good job though... a bit too fast slow it down and it sounds awsome... keep practicing

  • Tears comes to my eyes!

  • to fast!!

  • a wounderful song i almost fall into a haze when i hear it, i wish i could play it on my violin or flute

  • Love this piece

  • this is so easy, nothing to learn really... i can play most of it with one hand .,.

  • @tinyo95 Well duh.

  • Lovely song and I, too, am learning to play it myself :)

  • Well we do like it ^^ !

  • one of my favourite pieces...couldn't have played it better myself..and I play it alot

  • i watched this in a classroom. appreciate that great job :)

  • 4/ gust

  • „The song “Ave Maria”,...

was robbed, he belongs exclusive to the one born son, in the third heaven, when he is alter in his holy spirit.”

“In the name of the heavenly father,

    the one born sun,

    and the holy spirit.”

    “Amen,...”

    "Rainer Poppe,..."

  • i love this song and my piano teacher gave me the music to it so im gonna learn it hopefully it isnt to hard because i think im gonna perform it for the class on friday

  • so fast!!!

  • so fast!!!

  • soothing...

  • good job! perfecto!

  • how hard was this song to learn

  • @23maddiec

Its just lots of simple arpeggios. Second song I learned, and much easier than the first.

  • @23maddiec this song is really easy. you just need to transition from one scale to another. its all just the same rhythm in the right hand. so id say a first year could do it like i did :)

  • howcome this doesnt go with pavaratti's Ave Maria????

  • i'm playing this in a recital, I think the version i have is exactly the same! Great work.

  • tits .....BACH... is the man...nice work bro....arch yer wrists dammit.....i hated my piano teacher....keep practicing, pianists get girls...hot girls!!

  • isn't this the "ave maria"?

  • @infinitysadness no :)

  • @infinitysadness yes and no :) ...Bach composed this prelude, and Gounod add the melody when he was harmony teacher. So, this is called: Bach-Gounod Ave Maria.

  • Beautiful! notes please? I must learn it too!

  • Comment removed

  • Standing O....no shit ...u rocked it..I know JS Bach wrote it but i think you really made his point....one man ...one instrument...great sound quality too..

  • I swear this is in 28 Days Later for a about 30 seconds

  • easy and awesome piece!

  • you mad?

  • Very nicely played! Anyone else remember this from the Zelda games?

  • @TheLHB2010 Yes a very bad combo indeed lol.

  • Anyone know where I can the piano sheet?

  • @filiwian you local music store should carry sheets . or you can find it in the well temperd clavier along wit other songs . hope this helps

  • Tthis is very hard stuff. My teacher said: "If you can play Das Wohltemperirte Clavier, or at least a book, you just saved up a year at piano classes.

  • @Laudan08 this song is not that difficult actualy . Its sounds hard but its just reptition . I stink at piano and I can play some of this song Im still working on it . but your teacher is right all of the songs except this one are ezxtremely difficult .

  • @sailormoon114 If u wanna hear virtuosity at a fugue, look Fugue 1 book 2, C major.

  • Ceephax Acid Crew - Prelude In 303 Major

  • just fyi, the last chord is played 1 note at a time, not all at once (what the squiggly line is in the music) and might want to slow down a bit more at the end

    @hamsterdoom360

song is quite easy, what makes it sound great is the chords and how they fit

only takes about 2-3 days to memorize the whole thing ^^

  • actually it's a quite easy song, what makes it amazing is the flow of the chords and how each part fits together

song can be memorized in about 2-3 days if you want to memorize it

  • brilliant! i hope to beable to play like this one day:)

  • Well done! Now about that pedal, learn to hear when it is too much, its true Bach did not call for pedal, he was not writing for our modern instrument which is much more percussive and less mellow sounding than a piano Bach would have been writing for. The last 6 bars the muddy sound caused by the pedal are quite noticeable, try to clarify the sound, learn to hear the difference. It will get all of us off your back. Bach wrote it and inless we are preparred to re-write it as a variation

  • i love it very much .... i'm happy that many people appreciate it still muah!!!

  • such a great song

  • Red John's theme song right here. So pretty, but when you walk in on a dead bloody body, this song immediately becomes creepy.

  • Kocham too¬!:P

    Love! is sooo cute!:)

  • Ahaha I love this song when it's full orchestra so I picture my violin part playing as well..

  • It is a baroque piece, it would not have any pedal.

  • @TheUberLeetHax Bach would have used pedal if it were available at the time..

  • @TheUberLeetHax The original form has sustain pedal in it...

  • @soccerbabe1809 I can't even remember what I said, but in any case; no it didn't... the pianoforte didn't exist when this piece was written...

  • Well done! It was hearing your rendition that made me decide to learn this piece of music. Thanks!

  • please learn to change ur pedal...

  • i love how you made your left hand louder.... it makes it sound all the more beautiful! although i have a little pointer... maybe a bit more dynamics would make even prettier??? I play it quite a bit slower but i think it sounds nice fast too :D

  • love this song :) my current project, difficult because i still dont read bass clef well. so pretty :)

  • Great job, I'm learning this on the flute =)

  • sound is good but you need to put some emotion in that piece otherways its not interesting to listen, the piece should sound like you climbing stairs (each step should be different. )

you should work little bit more on your hands and your wrist. you have to unlock your wrist and work with your wrist not with your fingers (that makes your piece flow)

if you draw attention to my adive then you are going to be awesome. ; ]]]]

  • your reely good, ive learnt this piece as i love it so much :) keep playing good

  • I have to learn this, on the flute, for two weeks from now T_T

  • Guys, I need some help, I'm a self taught and as such cannot read music. I'm nearly finished learning prelude in G minor by rachmaninoff, do you think I'll be able to tackle the cadenza from his third concerto?

  • @LoftyProduction just learn to read music; just because you're self taught doesn't mean you can't learn.

  • @LoftyProduction you can't sight read, you can't play rachmaninoff first of all. or anything for that matter, how can you even learn it if you can't even find the notes? especially something of that difficulty.

  • @ToxicLabProductions it's called software, and I can play a lot of classical pieces.

  • @LoftyProduction what so lock piano tabs or something lol

  • @ToxicLabProductions haha that would be epic XD

  • @LoftyProduction I don't see why you can't man. Reading music is actually alot easier than you think. It took me a week to learn what all the notes mean and all their symbols. You could easily do the same and 'tackle' the cadenza ;)

  • nice...very beautiful

  • this piece is actually pretty fun to play. ;)

  • in music my teacher showed us a video and bob marley i think it was was kinda singing it i cant find

  • @Hazmat295 I think you mean Bobby McFerrin and NOT Bob Marley lol. with the ave maria right?

  • @Hazmat295 it's bobby mcferrin and you should watch other videos of him, they're fucking amazing

  • Just a little constructive criticism. Try lifting the pedal completely in between measures. You did a good job, It just sounded a little too muddy. Very nice tho =)

  • Beautiful... just like how I play it. Not too slow, not too fast, not-too-good sound quality either. It actually makes the second lower half (around G and A) sound terrible. One of my favourites.

  • I love listening to this before I play. Hope I can play as well some day

  • very nice! I'm learning this piece for my piano class final exam

  • very nice im stil leraning this piece it sometimes proves difficult for me . but I just love the way it sounds

  • you play it too slowly! Faster! Faster!

  • too much pedal

  • And not enough cowbell.

  • Best version ;)

  • Super ! :)

  • Fantastic, that song is so calming, i have it as my alarm evey morning

  • This song reminds me the mentalist...

  • @Mathildo1234 haha me too!

  • @Mathildo1234 haha ! u remind me of the mentalist! :D

  • @Mathildo1234 ahh you're sooo righht !!! another one that reminds me of the mentalist A LOT is moonlight sonata.

  • @Mathildo1234 Or Hitman

  • You play it very slowly, the way it is meant to be. I like to play it extremely quickly but when after I learned to play 3 pt inventions, I never wan to play anything slowly, even Tchiakovsky.

  • Beautiful. Thank you for playing for us!

  • Very Good.

  • Do you think this piece would be good as an instrumental while washing feet on holy thursday, any sujestions?!!!!

  • its it me or you played a wrong key but you did good make more softer

  • youtube is a bitch sometimes haha. or maybe just the people on it?

  • @sweetndsour7 : leave the kid alone! :)

  • @sweetndsour7 and you must simply be an arse :)

  • Can anybody please tell me where I can buy a cd with this piece of music on it? I know what its called and it's Bach. I want it to play it at my daughters wedding. Nokia used it for a ring tone a few years ago. Tks. Big Ed. Dundee.

  • What's the difference between this and "Bach's Prelude and Fugue in C Major"?

  • this is just the prelude. A fugue is a series of conterpoints and fugal entrances that make it unique to be called a fugue. This however is not a fugue just the piece leading up the fugue hence the word prelude.

  • @skailala bachs prelude come befor fugue

a fugue is almost like a concersation or an argument

a prelude come before and is sorta a more traditional song you could say

  • check out my take on this

  • no dynamics at all :/

  • I know what you mean.

it flows very well but there is no change in volume and the tempo slows atad when it isn't supposed to.

  • fantastic !

  • too much pedal buddy, try releasing every bar, not completely releasing, just clearing the top registers. next step to try. good job otherwise.

  • your piano resonates too much

  • Learning this right now, its really not that hard for how beautiful it sounds!! <3

  • Very good job. I actually started crying a little bit.

  • This is just what i've been looking for after hearing it on the mentalist . Cheers . :)

  • SAME :D

  • nice Ave Maria bach version! i going to try to play this now.
