that was a cold winter,even the undersoil heating didn`t totolly clear the pitch,Kidds goal looked more spectacular from the kop,seemed further out when he hit it than the footage shows.Tony Currie a privelege to see week in week out

despite the problems of the 70's/80's with hooliganism muddy pitches, basic stadiums etc the game was somehow more special back in them days, it felt more like an occasion walking down elland road on match day. great days on the kop!.... football was never meant to be watched sat down! its like asking people to stand up at the cinema and watch a film!
