you're defintely not to big for this pony!!! i'm 155cm tall and i ride 11hh horse for my friends sister. It depends on the build of the horse and this horse is strong!!!
Too small ahaha, a big sturdy strong horse like him would soon chuck you off if you was too big for him I'm sure. Anyways I'm 5'4 and 8stone and I ride my 13.2hh Newforest pony with no problem, he's a sturdy strong breed and would also throw me right off if I was bugging him. Some breed's and ponies need bigger riders to control them. If you was to stick a little kiddy on my little pony you may as well sign their death certificate because he would be bolting right round the ring with them.
You and Lewi look FAB together!! You are a great rider!! My old pony was a bit like him with the mouth situation as well...I had to do the same as you! Good luck with him:)! xx
hes really nice .. and with a trot like that dressage would be really good (: but seriously , he is really nice , but abit hyper .. maybe some clinics would help him a bit ? or even a break ? i understand he needs a bit , so a hackamore isnt a option .. good potential(:
how could any body say ur to big for lewi they are crazy i have a 15hh welsh D x and im a big person and i have been told im to heavy for him but i was like well if i was to heavy for him he wouldnt be able to bolt across the field with me on his back and he still does it now and hes 31!!. but u do amazing with lewi and dont u ever stop with him no one els could ride him better u know everything about that horse and u know how to handle him no one els dose but u. and lewi is a stunner of horse x
Defiantly more of a dressage horse than a jumper, with a trot like that.....but weldone looks like you two have such a great bond :) carry on with the good jumping!
Have you had his back checked, just his trot and the way he bunny hops in canter..........if you have not already had it checked out might be worth it. lovely horse tho!
Anyone who thinks your too big for this pony, is crazy. Anyone who calls you fat is jealous. Ignore them all! Lovely pony. Have you ever tried a Dr. Cooks bit-less bridle on him?
okay well first of all thats not 1.10m okay? im not saying it as in aww u cant jump im just saying i fell off.....sorry near fell off at 1.5m and it was wayy bigger than that go and even see its 1 of my uploaded vid " how the hell did i stay on?!?" other wise i love ur pony and u dnt look too big on him u look perfect and he is lovely a cheeky wee thing xD lol
@punchjumper3744 I ment to say its 2.10m. My horse has the biggest jump EVER. Lol i love how people say things that they think are right from a video!!! Arr well i no i am right because i jumped it.
You guys look fantastic together =) And you don't look too big for him, you look just right, I wouldn't even think he was that small if you hadn't said he was only 14.1.
Oh wow wow wow, i love him, he is absolutley stunning! I love his trot and he's such a powerfull chap, he's gorgeous! I love him ;D Is that his natural trot or did you teach him to trot like that? ♥ x
@showjumperforevs I dont gallop him any more because i cant stop him. Not been on the beach for a few months because i can now school in the field and i am working him in a pessoa a few times a week to builf him up for the show season. xx
wow amazing riding you and lewi sure make a good pair :) x but i dont know how people can go and telling you how to controll him they dont know what hes like only you doand you know how to deal with it i think if those people got on him they would be off no time coz they wouldnt know what to do. iv had the same with my gelding sam i had to get him a gag coz on hacks he would just stop lift his head up rear and turn and bolt home and you couldnt stop him and the gag only just stopped him. Xxx
Lewi is soo stunning! I just love the way he moves! He reminds me alot of my pony, goes crazy when he se a jump .. All the norwegian jump-off judges loves him, he is damn hard to beat in a jump off .. :D I think it would be hard to beat Lewi there too, he is fast! Have you ever been to a jumping show with him? :)
he looks amazing! i think he just gets a little to excited and looks like you know what your doing as well :) i ride a 21 yr old thoroughbred who thinks he's 5 and he gets silly somtimes, bucks pigroots dose the little dance canter like your lewi but you just got to sit to everything he throws at you and as he gets older he'll get to the point where he thinks pft i cant be bothered any more! you'll be fine hun :)
no chance are you too big for him! He's a welsh D for god sake.... they're whole body structure is designed to carry even twice your weight!
Although i do agree with people saying he runs into the jumps but he seems to run off after the jump aswell... So maybe once you have jumped get him to to halt on a straight line after as it will help him to learn to be patient and listen to you. I don't mean to be telling you how to ride at all as you seem to be handling him brilliantly!! :)
OMG! You are amazing to handle that horse! And I thought my pony rushed his fences.... your horsey makes him look downright lazy! Fab job! Wonderful ponieee!! <3
Beautiful Horse. But your letting him get away with bolting to the jump. Try Turning before the jump to let him now that he might not always be going over the jump, so when you do go over it he will settle down
have you ever tried using a hackamore , because i used to have a pony just like him and it turns out he just hated the bit and got so much better after we put him in a hackamore
hi hun little tip for ya for when ya jumping if he goes to run into a jump stop him back him up a few steps then trot into it it drums it into there heads they cant take of and bolt into it as more the speed into a jump the less hight and from what i could see thats why he was knocking fences i work with horses like him and train them to stop brill riding tho and gd balance your doin well i hope my tip works
Thats great. Would backing him up teach him to be nappy? My BF used to ride for top showjumpers and polo riders before he started training as a farrier. He also did the stop and backing him up and i found him more nappy later on. I use the stop when hes not taking any notice of me. I stop him and hold his head down for 5 seconds then walk him on. After my BF got on, every time i used that he would back up and still took no notice. Il give it a go now i have a indoor and outdoor.
@milliesos he looks quite nappy in your vidios but there r many ways round it you have come far with him and i fink you can go the whole way he will come out of it with time n patiance they just have that bad cheeky side to them were they constantly try ya patiance all time av riddin a few were they will rear up n only way got them out of that is when they when up made sure they went right over till they fell but i know ya can get him out of it just try many diff things he is a stunner
I have to say he is one of the most stunning Welsh Cobs I've seen in a long time, and so sensitive too. Whoever told you that you were too big for him really needs to read up on their horses. By the amount of bone he possesses is obvious to the fact that he could carry up to 10st and maybe a little more.
Lovely video, you both seem to have such an amazing bond and I genuinely wish you both the best of luck in future competitions and such. :) xxx
if he is they are weight carriers and your not even too big for him, so whoever said that is wrong, i have a welsh and my legs may be long on him but he can carry twice of me :)
your are not too big for him! i don't know where some of these people got their info but welsh pony's are one of the STRONGEST ponies out there .I am 5'2" and i ride my friends welsh pony (sec A) and she is just fine and she is much smaller then you pony who is lovely btw i would kill for a pony like like :)
@milliesos its good that you dont listen to what people say its probabably because they are just jelous that your horse goes alot nicer than theirs and that they cant stand other horses going better than theirs !! just ignore people kepp doing what your doin your doing a super job and you should keep going at it !!!
No problem. I was out riding on the mountain with him like i have done many times. I was out for about 2 hours just walking and had a few canters. On the way home he started playing up so i made him work in trot on a flat bit of land. Once he was chilled i started to go home again then all of a sudden he bolted. I tried to turn him and made him go back up the hill he had just bolted down but he is and always will be stronger than me and he turned and i new a cliff was coming
up so i new i was never going to stop him and i had to bail. I for some stupid reson went face first at a gallop and flipped over my own neck. I thought he may or stopped after i got dragged under his legs but he just kept going and ended up going over the cliff. I tried to keep my self from passing out and ran to see him hit the bottom. Got to him and his saddle was coverd in mud so he must of flipped over. He was fine and once i called my mum to come find me i rode him home
I then gave him 6 months off so we could both get over what had happend. I called my mum and said lewi was dead, because i couldnt see how he could still be alive and if he was still alive i was sure he would be all broken up. The farmer was going to come put him down as the vet would of taken to long to find us. At a later date, infact over a year later i found he had broken his splint bone. He may of done it on the accident or when he had 6 months in the field. But he is fine
WOW! He is just absoloutely gorgeous :)) I might be starting to ride a welsh cob of a freinds which is showing big scope, your horse is just amazing though x
you twoo look soo good together you do a good job on himm.... have u ever considered sending him to a trainer for awhile to train him not to do that i belive you/they can turn him around
What a fantastic looking horse! And he has the most beautiful natural movement on a cob I've ever seen! Once you stop him rushing, he'll be one helluva horse.
Yes very much so. Jumped him today no bigger than 2ft6 maybe just to try and stop him rushing, OMG he has some spring in his jump, just need someone to come film him now
iv got a pony just like Lewi. lol..she was a pony that just got way too excited about jumping. wat always helped me was heading toward the jump then suddenly asking to circle...if they're jumping headlong at it they're ignoring ur aids...if u ask for the a circle a couple times..they'll refocus on ur aids and then allowing the jump is like reward. lol thats how i got my pony to slow...lol im not telling u how to handle Lewi, these are just suggestions! he's a beautiful horse!!!
wow he looks nice :) great movement! looks like a hard horse to jump good job :) i dont think you look to big for him! you should see some of th eponies i ride haha nice horse- congrats!
WOW what a gorguz horse!! i dont think you look too big for him at all! please tell me your winning dressage tests on him! his movement is incredible haha im jealous!! yeah he rushes but he looks like a hard horse to ride! well done on the jump :) very nice :)
WOW what a gorguz horse!! i dont think you look too big for him at all! please tell me your winning dressage tests on him! his movement is incredible haha im jealous!! yeah he rushes but he looks like a hard horse to ride! well done on the jump :) very nice :)

my advice is to not let him rush into fences, work with trotting poles and canter poles then a little cross, you are letting him go stupidly fast thats why he almost tripped over it, be more careful i know its great him going fast but he will hurt himself if u carry on and he will get bad habits. lush boy tho
This is a strong pony. Iv worked the past year on cross poles, this is what he does when the jumps go up. I am not wasting more time messing around with tony jumps.
Race horses are started at 8 months old and are on the gallops by 12 months with a rider (i do not agree with that) show jumpers are lose jumped from yearlings and start there showjumping from 3. Ridden classes start at 4 in the uk and go by age so you have 4ft or even 5ft courses for 4 year olds. This horse is not rushed! He is now 5 and still only jumping under 4 ft
Btw, Lewi's magnificent, good for you to stick with him. I hope you figure him out, he's such a cool horse, I bet he'd be amazing in the show ring once you guys work things out. Good luck! :)
Yep, I know how it is to ride a horse that hates it when you take hold of his mouth. IT DOESN'T WORK. Especially on a super fit 16.3hh Appaloosa/TB BEAST that still has his stallion neck from when he was 6 (he's 15) haha. Plus he KNOWS that if he wants to take off, he's way stronger than me. I had a lot of issues with his jumping in the beginning, and he hated just about every bit we put him in until his old rider told us to put him in a Jointed Flexion Mikmar combo... he's a happyyy horse now:)
Hey, he reminds me so much of my horse - apparently no one can control and wants to kills everyone and actually canters on the spot at a jump if you dont let him go - and then builds all that impulsion up to buck. But I have been able to get all of that out of him by doing regular hard hacks, complicated jumps (to make him think - they are cleverer than we give them credit for) including angles, corners etc and monitor the amount of energy that is going into him. Hope this helps.
Um There is no way that you are to big for this horse! Even though you probably have you stirrups leathers in show jump posisition, your feet arent going past his belly. Good Riding
you are a GREAT fit!!!! not 2 big and not to small!!! dont listen to them if they tell u, u are 2 big cuz ur not!!!! you look amazing and i hope i can ride like you some day!!!!
o yeh your defo to big for him ;);) im joken !!!!! gwadd i hate it when people say stuff like that and thy dont even know what ther talken about :@:@ , hahahahah, you ride him soo well he looks v.v.v.v strng :O xxx
LOL at the people who are telling you that your too big for this pony, how stupid. Welsh cob, your 7stone10.. somehow i think not hahha. You look amazing on him, i know what you mean about bolting from his body, they like put they're bum under and just sorta run at stuff haha. But he looks aaamazzing, stunning horse! Andd your great with him, tell all those other people to shuzz up haha :) x
Ohh Yeahh WHOOAA Your Way o Big 4 That Skinny Welsh Cob I Think You Should Get Off Him Now Before You Break His Back ;) Haha Jokes Who Ever Said hat is A Prick :L Lewi's LUSH ! Your Such A Good Ridder :) He Jumps Lovely Your Very Lucky To have Such A Lovely Horse :) You've Come So Far :) Well Done :) x xx
I hav a horse with a very hard mouth (dont know if this is the problem) Any way i jump 1.20. When i first started with this horse i was jumping 50 cm out of control!!!!!!!
I had to learn to take my legs off...... Turn ur toes inwards should help to get ur legs off. Hope i helped
aww he is soooo cute!! wow who told u that u were 2 big?!! he is very stocky and u ride him very well!!! ur doing a really good job with him :) keep it up :D
This is what i love to see!! people always doubt welsh's abilitys to be anything other than fat show ponys, i have a welsh x, and jumped him up to 1m30 and with scope to go higher, and you dont look too big for him!! i love welsh's they have so much charachter dont they!! check out my vids, (nardo the black one on my yt) :) im subbing xx
preferably one that isnt massive, .and fully fenced in, try riding without a bridle. after you get over the initial fear and maybe a few spills, you'll find that it's the most amazing way to ride. you really have to put your faith in your horse, and i promise you it makes such a huge difference. You're a great rider, and whatever you do, please dont give up on this gorgeous animal. you'll find that happy median one day. keep up the great work, and i wish you the best of luck with Lewi :]
Hay thanks. I tried to ride him in a halter and he bolted and tried to jump the gate. Riding with out a bridle at this moment in time would be like jumping in front of a moving train. But thanks any way. xx
without a care in the world. Vie and i have never been so in-sync with one another. Through patience, time and loads of trust gaining, we're better than ever now. We do have our bad days, but you know, who doesnt! i gotta say, Lewi is absolutely gorgeous. You're not too big on him by any means! you two make a beautiful team, it's clear to see the bond you two have. my best advice is dont give up on him! he's truely a diamond in the rough if i've ever seen one. if you have an arena or something,
just give up on my blue ribbon mare, i started from the beginning, spending tons of time with her and riding her bridleless and bareback to gain trust. It was riding like this that i realized i'd been riding her wrong all along!! whenever we jumped without a bridle, she never once attempted to rush the jump, or refuse it. So when i started riding with a bridle again, i had to re-teach myself to trust her and not hold her so tight. everything changed so fast. currently we are jumping three feet
by lurching forward, meeting the bit and my hands as i paniced and ripped back on her reins. when she hit the bit she thrusted her head in the air, cracking me in the face, and breaking my nose. it didnt stop there, she continued to then rear and spin. i'd turned from scared to angry and i found myself taking my fist down on the poll of her head. dumb idea, but it was all i could think of doing at the time. I was scared to even look at a jump on her for almost a year. deciding i wasnt one to
Hello there. i wanted to give you a little imput, as i've been in the same situation with my Oldenburg. i know exactly what you mean when you shorten your reins or try to hold them back. when i do it, my mare bunches up and either bolts or rears straight up. We had a serious scare about two years ago, when we were trying to work on a combination jump, i got a bit nervous as Vie is a big girl with massive powerful strides, and i felt my body tense and i instintively puilled back. Vie responded
He will make a great jumper, Little Welsh's do, my 14.2 welsh cross Harley jumped 1meter25 with me at the hight of our career. Now he is teaching my 12year old cousin to jump bigger fences. Check out the vid response i ve sent. You and Lewi make a great team, keep it up xx
Thank you, i had a close friend telling me to sell him yesterday and get a bigger horse but i seam to be the only that knows what this little dude will be. My 19 year old brother wants to jump him in a few years so if i do get a bigger one i will still jumps him and so will my brow. xxx
omg WHO EVA TOLD YOU THAT YOUR TOO BIG FOR HIM AND yOU FAT IS STUPID I THINK THEY NEED AN EYE CHECK OR SOMTHING!!! omg AND PONIES CAN CARRY TWICE THERE BODY WAIT sO just dont listen to there stupid comments and if he didnt like it he wouldnt Move!!!
waw theres a new name for me to add to his list of nick names lol. I like to call him stud muffin or lew bags for some reason lol. My most used name this past few weeks is YOU F***ING BAD PONY!!! hahaha but spunkster is great
AWw that is adorable, I am glad I added to your list of nicknames!! He looks like he has got a lot of potential for you and him to go far:) ACtually, I really think you and him would benefit from watching this upcoming series I am making. I have discovered this really helpful key to riding while playing with my horse gable. This technique reeally works with those rushy, ancy type horseys. TUne in to my channel, I will be posting the series. :) best of wishes for you and your guy :)
his trot is GEORGOUS! my only advise is just be careful when you are putting him round that he isnt inverting his neck and curling his head. try to get him to lift his back up and push from behind rather than tucking his nose and tensing up. =] hes beautiful
yer it was his first time in roundings. Welsh cobs are very short backed so this is how they collect. Yes at one point out of the hole video hes under for a split second but he is going up a hill and my hands dont move both when he goes under or when he comes up. He is learning for him self.
anybody who commented on this video saying "poor horse" clearly doesnt know what theyre talking about. lewi looks like quite a handful and he is having so much fun! she isnt pulling hard on him at all but even if he is having fun he needs to be polite which she is making sure of. awesome riding!
Hahaha yes infact i can have no contact what so ever and he still pulls, even if i have the very end on the buckle he still wants more but thats a rude horse and needs to learn that he will get what he wants but he needs to work and behave first. Yes he is a very hard horse not just to ride but to be around and even worse to lead. I love him loads but he has some mager problems that is going to take a very long time to fix.
Nice cob. I have a Welsh sec D who will be 24 next july and he still thinks he is a 4 year old stallion. Alot of peeple don't realise that welsh cobs are a helluva lot smarter than most horses and need to be ridden and handled a bit differently. Will you be taking him to the Royal Welsh?
Shut the hell up you stupid little 14 year old "equine know-it-alls". She barely pulled on his mouth! The RSPCA is not going to come out. NOTHING IS FRIGGIN WRONG. The horse is clearly having the time of his life!!! Go get a life that ISN'T yelling at people who are better than you..
Sorry, but I am not a prick:) A prick is someone who goes around wrongly accusing someone of something they aren't clearly doing and acts like they are better than someone when they are really not:)
wow..poor horse, you need to learn how to jump before you injure this poor animal by the shit way you jump...and you puul WAYY to hard on him...i think someone shoould call horse society or rspca for him..
Infact we had the RSPCA around just this morrning because one of the horses on the nearby yard got out and they where very pleased with all 17 horses on our yard.
you are a very messed up young person i suggest a trip to the nut house is in order for you. Hun go look at your riding before you end up with a visit from the RSPCA.
Yes poor poor horse OH WAIT that's your horse i am talking about not this amazing Welsh Cob. He has one of the best owners/riders i have ever come across and that is not based on her videos. I in fact know this talented young lady and she has backed and brought on a number on my youngsters on my Farm in Wales. Take a look at her other 4 year old Welsh Cob who she backed and produced her self. Do not reply you are not worth my time.
What a handsome pony you've got there! :D He seems pretty strong though, maybe you should try another bit? Pessoa-bits can be rather devastating for horses who pull a lot. The function of the bit can give double signals that confuses the horses and they may "shut down" and become even stronger if you use them for a long time. The longer you ride with it the harder it will be to stop using it! Pelham bits are better! :) And btw you're not too big at all ;)
Hes a young horse with a big mouth and not a lot of room. He hates metal bits full stop, he loves this strait happy mouth gag and really works well in it, i could hold him more if i wanted but he is in rounding's so i don't want him to get a hard mouth. If i pull he stops. I hadn't galloped him flat out on the beach for over 8 months due to him bolting and jumping of a cliff and bolting on the beach

wow amazing riding you and lewi sure make a good pair :) x but i dont know how people can go and telling you how to controll him they dont know what hes like only you doand you know how to deal with it i think if those people got on him they would be off no time coz they wouldnt know what to do. iv had the same with my gelding sam i had to get him a gag coz on hacks he would just stop lift his head up rear and turn and bolt home and you couldnt stop him and the gag only just stopped him.

MissPat95 10 months ago
And of course, i forgot to mention how stunning he is! Have you ever done dressage with him??
ellandpenny 10 months ago
@ellandpenny Thanks. Yes this was just when i started to teach him to jump, hes a lot better now if you watch my newst video f him xx
milliesos 10 months ago
no chance are you too big for him!
ellandpenny 10 months ago
OMG! You are amazing to handle that horse! And I thought my pony rushed his fences.... your horsey makes him look downright lazy! Fab job! Wonderful ponieee!! <3
PonyPerson62 11 months ago
Beautiful Horse. But your letting him get away with bolting to the jump. Try Turning before the jump to let him now that he might not always be going over the jump, so when you do go over it he will settle down

nobody must say that you are to big for him..
it isn't true, you are prefect for him.
i like it when you ride lewi,

hi hun little tip for ya for when ya jumping if he goes to run into a jump stop him back him up a few steps then trot into it it drums it into there heads they cant take of and bolt into it as more the speed into a jump the less hight and from what i could see thats why he was knocking fences i work with horses like him and train them to stop brill riding tho and gd balance your doin well i hope my tip works
lydiab1991 11 months ago
@lydiab1991
Il give it a go now i have a indoor and outdoor.
milliesos 11 months ago
@milliesos he looks quite nappy in your vidios but there r many ways round it you have come far with him and i fink you can go the whole way he will come out of it with time n patiance they just have that bad cheeky side to them were they constantly try ya patiance all time av riddin a few were they will rear up n only way got them out of that is when they when up made sure they went right over till they fell but i know ya can get him out of it just try many diff things he is a stunner
lydiab1991 11 months ago
I have to say he is one of the most stunning Welsh Cobs I've seen in a long time, and so sensitive too. Whoever told you that you were too big for him really needs to read up on their horses. By the amount of bone he possesses is obvious to the fact that he could carry up to 10st and maybe a little more.
Lovely video, you both seem to have such an amazing bond and I genuinely wish you both the best of luck in future competitions and such. :) xxx

@ponyjumper1000

@milliesos aww thanks for telling me !♥:D

@ponyjumper1000
up so i new i was never going to stop him and i had to bail. He was fine and once i called my mum to come find me i rode him home
milliesos 1 year ago
@ponyjumper1000
But he is fine

iv got a pony just like Lewi. lol..she was a pony that just got way too excited about jumping. wat always helped me was heading toward the jump then suddenly asking to circle...if they're jumping headlong at it they're ignoring ur aids...if u ask for the a circle a couple times..they'll refocus on ur aids and then allowing the jump is like reward. lol thats how i got my pony to slow...lol im not telling u how to handle Lewi, these are just suggestions! he's a beautiful horse!!!

my advice is to not let him rush into fences, work with trotting poles and canter poles then a little cross, you are letting him go stupidly fast thats why he almost tripped over it, be more careful i know its great him going fast but he will hurt himself if u carry on and he will get bad habits. lush boy tho
HoneyUrGreat 1 year ago
@HoneyUrGreat
Can you no see me trying to hold him back???
This is a strong pony. Iv worked the past year on cross poles, this is what he does when the jumps go up. I am not wasting more time messing around with tony jumps.

KateeeLovesParelli 1 year ago
@KateeeLovesParelli
He is now 5 and still only jumping under 4 ft
milliesos 1 year ago
Btw, Lewi's magnificent, good for you to stick with him. I hope you figure him out, he's such a cool horse, I bet he'd be amazing in the show ring once you guys work things out. Good luck! :)
lovethosespots 1 year ago
Yep, I know how it is to ride a horse that hates it when you take hold of his mouth. IT DOESN'T WORK. Especially on a super fit 16.3hh Appaloosa/TB BEAST that still has his stallion neck from when he was 6 (he's 15) haha. Plus he KNOWS that if he wants to take off, he's way stronger than me. I had a lot of issues with his jumping in the beginning, and he hated just about every bit we put him in until his old rider told us to put him in a Jointed Flexion Mikmar combo... he's a happyyy horse now:)
lovethosespots 1 year ago
Hey, he reminds me so much of my horse - apparently no one can control and wants to kills everyone and actually canters on the spot at a jump if you dont let him go - and then builds all that impulsion up to buck. But I have been able to get all of that out of him by doing regular hard hacks, complicated jumps (to make him think - they are cleverer than we give them credit for) including angles, corners etc and monitor the amount of energy that is going into him. Hope this helps.

preferably one that isnt massive, .and fully fenced in, try riding without a bridle. after you get over the initial fear and maybe a few spills, you'll find that it's the most amazing way to ride. you really have to put your faith in your horse, and i promise you it makes such a huge difference. You're a great rider, and whatever you do, please dont give up on this gorgeous animal. you'll find that happy median one day. keep up the great work, and i wish you the best of luck with Lewi :]

without a care in the world. Vie and i have never been so in-sync with one another. Through patience, time and loads of trust gaining, we're better than ever now. We do have our bad days, but you know, who doesnt! i gotta say, Lewi is absolutely gorgeous. You're not too big on him by any means! you two make a beautiful team, it's clear to see the bond you two have. my best advice is dont give up on him! he's truely a diamond in the rough if i've ever seen one. if you have an arena or something,
emokidsdontcryx3 1 year ago
just give up on my blue ribbon mare, i started from the beginning, spending tons of time with her and riding her bridleless and bareback to gain trust.

I was scared to even look at a jump on her for almost a year. deciding i wasnt one to
emokidsdontcryx3 1 year ago
Hello there. i wanted to give you a little imput, as i've been in the same situation with my Oldenburg. i know exactly what you mean when you shorten your reins or try to hold them back. when i do it, my mare bunches up and either bolts or rears straight up. We had a serious scare about two years ago, when we were trying to work on a combination jump, i got a bit nervous as Vie is a big girl with massive powerful strides, and i felt my body tense and i instintively puilled back. hobbzrulz159 2 years ago
his trot is GEORGOUS! my only advise is just be careful when you are putting him round that he isnt inverting his neck and curling his head. try to get him to lift his back up and push from behind rather than tucking his nose and tensing up. =] hes beautiful
horseluver33 2 years ago
yer it was his first time in roundings. Welsh cobs are very short backed so this is how they collect. Yes at one point out of the hole video hes under for a split second but he is going up a hill and my hands dont move both when he goes under or when he comes up. He is learning for him self.
milliesos 2 years ago
anybody who commented on this video saying "poor horse" clearly doesnt know what theyre talking about. lewi looks like quite a handful and he is having so much fun! she isnt pulling hard on him at all but even if he is having fun he needs to be polite which she is making sure of. awesome riding!
horseluver33 2 years ago
Hahaha yes infact i can have no contact what so ever and he still pulls, even if i have the very end on the buckle he still wants more but thats a rude horse and needs to learn that he will get what he wants but he needs to work and behave first. Yes he is a very hard horse not just to ride but to be around and even worse to lead. I love him loads but he has some mager problems that is going to take a very long time to fix.

sorry "major" problems lol
