Wow, thanks for the video, I grew up on McCoy St, back behind that Hiboy you showed that is on 24hwy. I moved to Atlanta in 2000, sure miss home sometimes. Went to Ott, then went to private school til graduating in 1989, went in the Navy, started a family, got busy and moved away. Georgia is ok, but I sure miss the simple life of home. Thanks again!
Hi Clay, thank you very much for your kind words. I was actually lucky enough to shake President Truman's hand. We were on a field trip to the old telephone building in downtown Independence. As we walked by President Truman's house he was outside getting ready to go for a walk. It's one memory that I have treasured my entire life. :) Thanks again for writing.
oh my gosh I just love the englewood cafe! I go to all of these places all the time independence is so wonderful. My grandpa is actually in the same graveyard as frank james.
I grew up in Independence with many fond memories. I wish you could add another 10 minutes of landmarks like the town square, Chrisman High and St Marys. Just to see a video tour of Noland rd during the day...thanks
Fabulous video! Especially for a beginner. Independence is my hometown though now I live in south Missouri in the Ozarks. What a memory trip! I recognize everything pictured...Sterling Bowl, Clems Drive-In, whew! Takes me back. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.
Great tour. I've never been to Independence so it was really fun to see it. The soundtrack was a great addition to the picture show. It took me back in time with all the old architecture. Thank you!
What a wonderful commentary for Independence! I especially liked it when you showed then and now shots! No one would ever believe this is your first video! I was impressed you were able to match the pictures to the music. I have a hard time doing this well. Great job!!

This is your first video? I don't believe that.
I've just finished the first draft of a play about Harry and missed this video while doing research. This is perfection.
Really excellent.
Wish I could have met the man walking the streets of Independence so I could shake his hand and just say "hi, Mr. Presient."
take care
