I also need some help. Xampp is simple and I like it. I put my website files in wwwroot on my server 2003 R2 and after many days of errors and problems I finally installed php and phpinfo opens correctly. My last problem is about the contact form that asks for name, email and comment. Everything works as it should according to my browser, thankyou page etc. but I never get an email on my predefined email in php script.How can someone help me here, can I get someone's mail address to send my php?

@manasume It says that the port 80 is already in use. Look which program is occupying that port and clear it. In most cases it is usually skype.

@AstonishingPie Yes you do. Anywhere where you purchase a domain name, not I said purchase that doesn't include those dot tk sites. They usually have FTP hosting systems. Where you can connect to an FTP system ( I prefer FileZilla ) and you can upload them to that domain.

@port blocked use xp instead of vista ,put your xp cd into cdrom drive goto control panel add remove prgrammes .click addremove programmes and then add remove windows components when a window appears disable iis ,i mean keep it blank without a tick mark complete the process and now your port shall work

@SimpleYTaccount I found my skype was using port 80, on the control panel of Xampp use the check ports button, and see which ports for apache and mysql are in use, and close down the applications, if possible. sorted my problem out.

after installing and getting the splash screen and selecting english it says installed. Note pad to write the phpinfo.php brings up blank screen instead of info as you have.. ive got 1.7.3 using winxp.. window ie shows certificate error.

context is editor program and it is having the format of Php when ur going to save it

it helps you to select php format and then save or you have seen the problem when u r saving the file of notepad in .php

didnt saw you set a password for the root user of the mysql server!!

This his a BIG security issue, you can logon via phpmyadmin from remote and save something in a file, upload a trojan or something else and execute it with FULL privileges...
