  • This was a fine scene, with fine acting, but "cop killer bullets" are bullshit. It's based on the ridiculous theory that by coating a tungsten carbide bullet with Teflon to reduce wear on the barrel, it becomes capable of penetrating more layers of body armor than it would without. This is retarded. Most LEOs know it. Many have spoken out against the crusade against these very useful bullets by people who happen to be the same dumb asses that think incendiary rounds are "heat-seeking bullets".

  • @mazerrackham001 You're right but that doesn't mean the dialogue in this scene is wrong. What made "KTW" bullets so deadly is the harder core they had, using, as you say, a tungsten alloy. This alloy *did* allow a bullet to penetrate a bullet-proof vest.

  • @Supergamer9 AP ammo has been around for about a century. They weren't labeled "cop killers" by activist journalist and politicians until around 1982, because of the incorrect association with Teflon. Many states outlaw Teflon coated bullets, even lead and mild steel, and all of those same states except CA (to my knowledge) allow the selling and reloading of actual AP pistol ammo.

KTW was just improving an already well established and legal round to be easier on the gun firing it.

  • If only we lived in an era of great men anymore.

  • america attacks syria- pffft, obama wouldn't have the balls.

  • @Elisheval we just got out of a war and you want to start another one?

  • @maven21 America bombing Syria, is this a sign of things to come?

  • @Elisheval Well he's already bombed Libya to defend civilians, and the US already tried to authorize resolutions to allow them do the same for Syria. The difference with Syria is the people are not asking Obama to help, and I think he has listened.

  • @pengo2008 so...make you own show from your point of view then. Why complain about something that is made for entertainment?

  • @maven21 Made for entertainment is not an excuse for falsehood.

  • @pengo2008 Then just what planet do you live on and what shows, news, opinion posts, and or religious text do you pay attention to that do not contain falsehood? This show is for entertainment so it dosent seek to be accurate and makes no claims that it is. A giant yellow walking and talking bird dosen't exist, but millions of children have been educated by Sesame Street. Is that show wrong, are people being misled?

  • @maven21 Hollywood films and TV shows contain a lot of propaganda. Always have done , probably always will. Aaron Sorkin's West wing similarly had a lot of pro-israel propagander through all series. He's an Israel-firster. Maybe you should watch again and take particular note on the statements made about Israel-Palestine. BTW, sesame street example is a poor one since it's not propagandistic.

  • @pengo2008 So the West Wing is a vehicle for pro - Israeli propaganda? Oh I thought it was just a vehicle for liberal bias.

  • @downunderdemocrat its easily both.

  • @pengo2008 By the way, nothing is 'propagandistic' because that word does not exist. Try again once you've mastered 8th grade English.

  • Just what everyone wants to hear from the President of the United States "Get away from me" "Somebody throw this guy out of the building!" hahaha.

  • Comment removed

  • "my nephew gave me an ashtray he made at summer camp!"

    perfect delivery

  • I love Josh's line "It doesn't go away." Must sum up everyone who has ever worked for a president.

  • I don't think I'll ever stop throwing up.

  • @chawk111 .........Why?

  • Incredible program...how the hell does a TV show manage to capture it's audience on every single level?!?! It seems we all are genuinely in awe of the characters and from looking at other clips and comments, the entire audience was and still are devastated that John Spencer passed away.

Well done to all involved, the epitome of talent and genuine honest-to-god effort to tell a story in the most accurate and detailed manner possible. Everyone give this a thumbs up please!

  • @RudeBhoy21 I agreed with everything you said until you ASKED for a thumbs up. How lame.

  • still missing it

  • most amazing show ever.

  • One nitpicky detail. The drapes are ALWAYS closed when the Prez makes an Oval Office TV address. The window would reflect the TV lights.

  • It gives me a lump in my throat. I miss this show.

  • CJ looks like she has a stress headache...

  • great show... but what granddaughter is he talking about? ;p

  • @Hama8382 One of Bartlett's daughters is married and has children.

  • @mattpytlak yeah but considering the fact that the fiirst time she appears she is no more than 6 or 7, in this episode she must be 3...

  • My names is Charlie Young !!!! :D

  • Yep - i totally quit watching it once Jed's character was being bumped out.

  • This is only one reason that the West Wing was one of the greatest shows!

  • This is a perfect demonstration of the magic of the west wing. The ability of one show to elicit tears, laughter, pride, hopefulness and a salute

  • I've never felt like this before.

    It doesn't go away.

  • @brandondash

10 words that defined the entire series.

  • Thank you SO much for posting this. This was one of my favorite moments and one of the most beautiful scenes from the West Wing and that's quite an achievement considering how many there were to choose from
