A SAAB is basically a glorified Opel/Vauxhall/Holden/Saturn....all share the same engines,components,platforms etc. Whoever pays £30,000 for a re-skinned Opel/Vauxhall/Holden/Saturn with leather seats is clearly a fool!
Don't be. Indeed. Some 9-3's are not the most reliable cars SAAB has made. But, in contrary to other car-manufacturers, SAAB makes changes every year, and therefore, the 2008 or 2007 model is better in many ways than the 2003 model.
If I can warn at least 1 person, I've done my job in this automiotive world. Since I posted my comment, I've had the car in twice for repairs. One to change the blower motor, and the other to change strut plates. Just a few more months of pain and this nightmare is over. Good luck on your purchase and if you do decide to buy a SAAB, I'll pray for you.
It's such a shame that such a nice car is bound to fall apart in your hands. I own a SAAB and the handling is just out of this world, yet I CAN'T WAIT to get rid of it.The car has given me so many headaches since the very first week I bought it. Problems after problems, it's been at the shop more often than on the road. I'm never...EVER buying a SAAB again. Shameful because it's a beautiful car, it could go so far if it were reliable!
I thin it is more the case of trying to improve perfection. Only car in the world to have
5 stars front, side, back and number one in accident avoidance. Plus it has the safest Convertable tied with Volvo. Which new product can match it? I love this car!!!
and saab is a civic eater so saab ftw yet again another good job by saab. Kids these days (I'm only 15 but hate little ricers) think honda is so cool and think that saab has no power. Little do they know the beast saab has under the engine. SWedish cars rule
I like it. But to be honest its only a facelift of a already old car. The Aero-X front is cool tho. A Biopower version of the sportcombi would be my choice.
SAAB is stand alonE. sophisticated, Independent, and Sexy. BMW and Mercedes only wishes.

rear ends were too much..,i dont think those clear tail lights make 9-3 more unique than the previous 9-3,just leave it like before !!
