You pray range because waterfiends use their range attack much more frequently. Even with high range def, its still hits fairly often. I've killed over 10k fiends, and I've tried both methods, so believe me when I say I know what I'm talking about.

@bluespy95 bunyip with scrolls is better than titan (im 80 sum) because waterfiends drop lots of raw food (lobs and sharks)

well would this method be worth it because prayer pots are 10k now... and you would get alot of mage xp at rock lobs... but you also need prayer pots at rock lobs so... in 2 trips to rock lobs i leveled up 2 mage lvls. plz give me your oppinion.

btw dude no potions will interrupt combat what i mean is if you drink a prayer pot(or any pot) after you hit then just click on whatever you are attacking again you will not be slowed down at all i use this all the time for pking hope this helps.

Wow, I'd never thought of this method. I just bursted my way up to 88 summoning recently; I might give this a shot so nudge myself up to 89 now. Great guide! ^_^

You said you don't pick up non-crimson charms until you have a decent amount of inventory space. What I do is pick up those smaller charms whenever I have any inventory space whatsoever. This way, if I happen to snag two or three green charms, then get my first orb drop, I can drop the charms for the orbs.

Considering I'd be using piety, it wouldn't be long until I'd used up another prayer potion, and I'd have room to pick up those charms again. The little juggling trick does take a bit more concentration though, and I understand it's VERY easy to 'zone out' during something like this. That's just me though. ^_^

I don't think you should say that this is close to rock lobsters in charms an hour, because it really isn't. Nice guide to Dharoking them but I will still stick to a SS or God Sword.

It definitely is, it's also easily 40% more charms per hour than SS and way more than GS (which is worse than SS). It's about the same number of crimsons per hour as rock lobsters, but without all the golds and greens. But almost all of the exp is crims anyway.

I can get over 150 charms an hour with a SS, and I tested this a few times and all times it was over 135. And burst/barrage rock lobs is more than 150 charms an hour.

When you prot ranged, u sometimes get hitted. Is that a MELEE attack or a MAGE attack? ( for armour)

Nice vid, I never bothered to research into how this was done though I heard it was excellent for crim gathering. I had crims for 96 by time I finished Slayer so I never cared that much. I might try this some time now rofl, I sold Dharok's ages ago. Thanks again =D

It took me over a month to quit being 98 summoning and get the crims for 99, just because it wasn't worth it to me until I realized it would make a sweet video. Lol. Have fun if you intend to get 99 from that 96!

Na I don't have that much patience L0L, but I like trying new ways to train skills ingame. Anyway I couldn't go from 96 to 99 even if i wanted to... That account got perm banned, (Long story I won't get into), afterwards one of my best rs friends gave me his son's old account because his son quit ages ago. I managed to get 89 on that account for Geyser (Good for Rcing/Slayer), I got charms for 90. Might go for 96 eventually, Dharok is always fun to play with.

I dont see why it can't be done without unichorn, you got food anyways, and they drop sharks sometimes and just change you're prayerpots to food ratio a bit you will be able to manage without unichorn stallion

It can be done with a bunyip, but not with the inventory I used, and trips will last less time. The bunyip is also unreliable at low hp, it makes it very hard to "control" where your hp stays at.

Both of the waterfiends' attacks are based on magic defence, actually. The "ranged" one is more accurate than the mage one, and remember that both are based on the same defence property. If you pray at waterfiends, it should always be range regardless of what you are wearing. Very good question.

While prayer flashing is a really nice skill to have, it's not exactly best to be focusing on flashing your prayer when you're in 2-hit-ko range with a familiar that takes a few seconds to work the scroll, lol.

Good question about Piety. While it is optional to use it, I would advise it unless you're very poor. While you could stay longer without piety, it wouldn't be much good because you would have run out of your super set and your unicorn, and you'd get quite a few less charms per hour.

Good questions about the Guthan's. While Guthan's is an ok set to use at waterfiends, it's slower kills than even the standard weapons the zamorakin spear and saradomin sword. The Dharok's method gets you the absolute most charms per hour at waterfiends, which means you have to spend less time gathering charms, which means you can spend more time later on making money back or training other skills.
