I loved The Partridge Family, fell so madly in love with David Cassidy and when he played in Perth WA my mum waited to get tickets for my friend and I and when I touched his hand I was in mega love with him, of course I was only a young girl. And even to this day David is still a honey. I never really liked Danny he always seemed to be a meathead he kinda reminds me of this thing I work with she is a female version also older than Danny too..I am off my soapbox now. @PeacenikChick I was 11 when it started and I remember I couldn't wait for Fridays to watch the show. I especially loved David and Susan. When I first saw Susan on TV, I thought she was the most beautiful girl I ever saw and believed that she and David were beautiful together. I have all LPs and now at 52 to this day enjoy hearing their songs. It is so true what David says in 6:35-6:41; he and the PF did bring joy to my life. What great memories and happy times!

its funny the least talented person on the show seems to be the most talked about...danny was incidental ...David Cassidy and Sherley Jones were really great talents...Cassidy was huge....every preteen boy wanted to be him and every teen girl wanted him...he was and really still is the standard for teen star.

Man, I'll have to say from looking at this footage, that Shirley Jones looks really good back then. She sort of puts Susan Dey to shame.

I recently saw an interview with Susan Dey. She became a model at one point and was very disillusioned with the celebrity world. Her daughter wanted to follow her steps and she did all she could to stop her from taking that path. She did not go into details, but I guess she had her issues, too. But, hey, who doesn't? But Keith (DC) was the reason girls (ans some boys too) watched the show.

I met Danny, all I have to say is everything that has happened to him he truly deserves. Why do I say that? Simple, as I said before I met him he seemed really nice, the next day when I listened to the radio he straight up lied about our conversation & pushed it to the point he insulted me on the radio. I was living in LA & I for sure called in to the show & called him out on it. He didn't think I would do that, but he's an ass hole & Im glad he's falling apart....

@bxgrl4ever I too have met Danny. I was friends with him for a short time on myspace and we had several conversations. He was nice (For a little while) and then after that little while started treating me like crap. Especially when the conversations weren't all about him. Shortly after that I realized that Danny was nothing more than a self centered jerk, which he proved when he would be super sweet to David on the radio when he was a guest, and then the next day, diss him on the air.

Needless to say Danny and I are no longer speaking. I deleted him from my friends list and blocked him. Mostly because I knew if I didn't, i'd just get myself in trouble because I have many choice words for the man. If not a few blows to his well swelled head with the proverbial blunt object, also known as my fist. LOL He drives me nuts, I can't stand him.

I'm going to take up for Susan Dey here. It would be nice if she did the occasional reunion, but she's allowed to move on with her life. I can't fault her for not wanting to spend the rest of her days talking about one show she did 40 years ago. Especially since she did other noteworthy work after that.

@PeacenikChick When I was a kid ALL girls were David Cassidy fans, KEITH!!!, heard that many times back in the fun portion of my life. I seen on Wikipedia DC was arrested for drunk driving I think in Nov 2010. The Partridge Family/Brady Bunch back to back was one of the best hours of television ever, I miss those days. I read that after she left the Partridge Family she wouldn't have anything more to do with it. I think there was some type of spat with David Cassidy. I've never really seen all the details, but I've read that in several places.

I thought Susan Dey opted out because she had a bad experience with David C. back in the day: she was in love with him and he wasn't with her, but slept with her. That's at least what I heard. So it sounds like the Partridge Family experience was something she wanted to forget. She was the only one to have a successful acting career afterwards, so it looks like she moved on with life. More power to her.

@paulyork2008 Actually David had a pretty successful acting Career in the late 70s- the early 90s when he decided he wanted to act in something else. Susan isn't the only one who's career took off. So did Shirley's. As for Susan and David's supposed "u love me but I don't love u" thing, I'm pretty sure there is more to it than there is said to be. David CLAIMS he only felt for her as a sister, but as an older sister i can tell you, My brothers DO NOT look at me the way he looked at her!!

I loved the show. I have no idea why Susan couldn't have been a aprt of this. I had a massive crush on her, but actually like mom Shirley even more! As for David, he's great. Call it bubblegum, but they shifted some tunes, and he is a terrific singer, no question. I'd go to see him perform all of his and the PF's hits. Great memories.

@ Marirod45, Susan Dey has wished to be unaffiliated with the Partridge Family for several years. No one is really sure why she has decided to become so snobbish. As you can tell Danny is not very happy with her. I don't blame him too much LOL.

As for Shirley, She was on tour at the time this was filmed and was unable to make it. This is told to us by David later in the second part of the video (I think its the 2nd part.) As for Dave madden, he doesn't fly and was therefore unable to attend.

@PeacenikChick It is a shame Susan Dey doesn't come to the reunions. She was in the limelight before the show. She did so much modeling. Magazine covers, etc. Some of these teen idols are still judged by their looks as they get older. Some age better than others. I also feel she does not participate because of David. Her feelings when she was young and the book he wrote.She just wants to remain private as the years progress I guess. One reunion while they are all alive would be great!

@PeacenikChick You do know of course that Shirley Jones is not David Cassidy's real mother. She is his step~mom. His real mother was Evelyn Ward. Personally I think the older David gets the more he resembles his father Jack Cassidy.
