  • Sorry for this word...but damn, are Indian men gorgeous!!! Indian people are beautiful anyway. Period!!

  • Are those real Indians?

The ones I've seen when I visited the states looked more like fat chinese and, from what I've heard, they tend to use Italians and Latinos for the movies.

  • @fenriz218 Yes, read the comments, please! :) And check imdb.com. Most of the actors in Comanche Moon if not ALL the Indian actors are real Indians. Most movies/tv shows now are using the real people instead of fakes. What you've heard is old stuff because that trend is now changing by leaps and bounds. At least from my outsider's perspective.

  • @fenriz218 Yes, they are. We don't have Debra paget portraying a 'princess' anymore nor Sal Mineo as a chieftain--H'wood has grown up. Somewhat. There are still a LOT of faults in this script though. larry Mc. should have known better--he sold out.

  • @windstorm1000 ah, that brings memories! Sal Mineo was one great Indian.

We used to produce lots of Cowboys and Indians movies in my country but the Indians were usually played by Yugoslavians (and sometimes French, if they were good Indians). Comanches and Kiowas were the bad Indians and the Apaches the good guys. Can only recomend you "Winnetou" - great film!

    HOW! Fenriz218 has spoken!

  • @fenriz218 Why not hire REAL Indian actors--they need the work just like everyone else--and white actors portraying Indians take away money from Indian actors pockets. Please don't say 'how'--that is very trashy stereotype (are you for fuckin real??). Your perception of Indian people is based on false images. I take it your country is Germany/Austria--all Germans are Nazi, catch my drift??

  • @windstorm1000 well, it's really a question of "supply & demand" a) we don't have any Indian actors here and b) "real" Indians don't look like our Indians (in fact, the ones I've seen "live", looked more like overweight Koreans, no offense).

Just trying to be polite - we here find talk like "How!" or "Paleface comes in steel horse, brings iron-spear that spits fire", romantic, even endearing.

  • @fenriz218 PS: you're not altogether wrong about Germans. They're Nazis and democrats, dependent on what the alpha-Chief commands - has to do with their own tribal structure.

I still think it wasn't Columbus but my own ancestors under Chief Leif Erikson who discovered the Indians (we called them Skrallingers or "Screamers") - that would make us someting like "blood brothers". Raising the right hand as greetings goes back to Viking times, u think that the Indians adopted it?

  • @fenriz218 Its a Hollywood stereoytype "chief" There were no 'chiefs'--that's hokum. PLEASE read more--Lame Deer, I assume 'German' for you is in your local library.

  • @fenriz218 Endearing for you, a harmful stereotype for native people---you 'assume'. What' your nationality? Then lets dredge up a couple of stereotypes.

  • Wunderschön !

  • Saying that 1 specific race is the most beautiful is one ignorant ass thing to say, because every race has somebody who is stunning. I know everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but when you say "this ONE race is the most beautiful in the world" what does that make you look like?

  • eddie spear,You are..HAWTTTTT!!

  • are eddie and alan native american?

  • @MyLalinea Uh, yeah. Haha. Eddie is Lakota, but not sure what Alan is.

  • @MyLalinea probably. they can't have italians and jews portraying natives like they used to in h'wood. there would be such a hue and cry from all parties in these somewhat more accurate days (but don't look at this script)

  • yep, back when men were men, living in harmony with nature, killing and scalping anyone who was not in our tribe. alas, we are now all 'hangers around the fort' making trinkets to trade for firewater and internet porn

  • Comanche Moon did a terrible injustice to both the Comanche and to the characters of Nocona, Quanah, and Cynthia Ann. They didn't even get Cynthia Ann's re-capture date right (it was 1860, not 1865), and....ugh. I watched the series because I knew Nacona and Quanah would make an appearance, but I expected them to at least say one word!!!! Wasted my time with the show.

  • @PetraKenobi I feel exactly the same way. Oversweetened rangers and a lack of historical accuracy. Very disappointed:-(

  • @pumeksa right. Austin was not burned. silly--I don't even think it a city when the 'comanches' burned it (for shame larry). I was an extra on this movie for a day, but had to leave cuz of foot problem. don't be an extra--its very boring...you get a lot of food though.

  • this was on hallmark the other dday! watched the whole thing!

  • I have to say this: trust America to get the hot natives!

  • If I were alive in the 1800s I would have moved west just to see one of those hot guys with long black hair on a horse. I probably would have surrendered my wagon in no time flat!

  • dvd can be purchased from walmart .com online.

  • Beautiful, simply historical! Real Native tribe history.

  • how do you piss off an indian....hide his welfare check in his workboots.

  • @bubba3667: How do you piss off a Canadian, call him weak, and send him home to Europe! Natives here shed there blood...sad

  • they were real men compared to now hes talkn about comanches lord of the plains dont foret that , yall slakn people, u need to act right, should slap the !@#$ out of all these @@@@##$ what u know about comanches!

  • I am Comanche and if I could say Eddie was a good pick to play a Comanche. He is so gorgeous. The fort where Quanah was is FT. Sill, Quanah and his mother Cynthia Ann are buried in Post Cemetary there. Ft. Sill, Oklahoma. I am as well as many a descendent of Quanah Parker from his first wife weceah. My mother is from the Mahsetky family. My father is Spanish and was stationed at Ft. Sill as well.

  • @michelleduran79 Thanks for posting.

  • Salute.

  • i thought Comanche was all about Quanah Parker. but he's barely in the moovie!! >:(

  • Alan Tafoya....HE WAS ON DEADLEST WARRIOR !!!!!

  • Too bad in this movie Quanah and his mother and father were not given more importance. Quanah was a very important Comanche. The story of his mother has never been presented in a movie. It is a shame. The Comanches were feared by everybody, spaniards, mexicans, whites and other tribes. Their story is amazing.

  • holy shit!!!! eddie you sex on legs!!!! my native men are soooo sexy***

  • That guy's from Deadliest Warrior!

  • Has anyone ever noticed that every race has a certain type of voice? Even without an accent, the voice and the structure of the vocal chords must have something specifically designed to give a certain tone? Africans, Natives, White Europeans. They all have a common sound in their voices within their race. So cool. Indigenous voices are so low, raspy, yet very subtle and monotonous. Love Culture. Love People. Love the Earth.

  • @LadyZeppelin1960 those are stereotypes. you need to get beyond them and get to know more indian people.

  • Glad they chose Eddie to play Quanah, a fine specimen.

  • @TheSailingdancer I've been to the fort where Quanah Parker was.It is near techanugua.(toe-walk-knee)

  • *drools* lol

  • I love Native American men

  • @interestinglyethnic you have to go to cherokee north carolina. the men (and women) in my opinion as a white woman are the most beautiful people in ther world

  • i know a guy who looks just like him but hotter and redish brown eyes perfection but he is 5 years younger than me too bad lol

  • Algonquin:

    Hey No problem with that!

I had a woman that was 10 years Older than me.

but she was hot and beautiful and Divorced.(dumped by an idiot)

She spent years in seclusion not dating anyone.

I told her "I wish I met you even before you met your idiot EX"

    but going back to YOU;

Just make sure YOU'RE NOT FAT! Go Get'im Girl!

  • So what? The age means nothing. It is only some stupid men (and women as well) thinking that only woman can be younger in the couple. My grandma was 12 years older than grandpa and they have lived together, in hapiness almost 60 years! So, good luck!
