  • The Dayton Philharmonic played this wonderful piece to great applause and cheers.

  • She's a funny person. Her minds works about ten times faster than her mouth so she is constantly speaking as fast as she can. I was collaborating with her on a 30 minute electroacoustic spatial work, but sadly it never saw the light of day due to the university's bureaucracy and people in the music department not willing to participate. I wrote and recorded the electronic part of the music and then it got canceled!! Oh well, at least I got to have drinks with her and she taught me a lot :)

  • Very nice! I have had the pleasure of working with (and hanging out with) Dr. Larsen and she is a very energetic and thoughtful person. Her music is quite excellent. Have you heard strut before? It seems to be similarly composed, with a lot of 32 note rhythmic motifs being passed around the orchestra. I haven't heard this one, so thanks for posting!

  • Thank you for your comment! There is nothing better than first-hand knowledge. I am not familiar with Strut, but will look for it. Dr. Larsen is indeed a very fine composer.
