  • thanks for the video - i really enjoyed this

  • Godspeed New Horizons probe (personally I can't wait).

  • Thank You that was very interesting. When I worked on a Psychiatric Ward I knew a lady who truly thought she was the Queen of Pluto, but I don't expect to see her sitting on her thone when New Horizons photographs it lol

  • Dr. Tyson says Pluto is not a planet.

  • Respond to this video... I really love your presentations they are wonderful ! I sure hope they are showing them in some of our schools here in the US !

  • brrrrrrrr I'm freezing :)

  • Hunans may one day set foot on other planets (mars only) and a few moons. But never pluto or the gas giants. No surface to stabd on and or near absolute zero degrees temp makes out of the question.

  • @itsjustnopinionok i'd say "never say never". it wasn't that long ago it was inconcievable to travel to the moon! :)

  • @hugadarn it's that window of mistakes you can make and get away with. One tiny mistake on the moon is 100 time worse if made on pluto. It's near total darkness at any giben time of the day. the temp is off the charts, and i can almost bet the surface is full of sharp edges and unforseen deep drop offs that you don't want to come across. Is the gravity stronget on pluto than the moon? I'd love to visit the (planet) don't get me wrong. Just saying.

  • I'm missing something here. I see alot if comments that include chuck norriss name. Whats up with that??

  • @itsjustnopinionok if you leave them alone they might go away. just pretend they're not there! :)

  • The reason why there is no Pluto is because Chuck Norris used it as a bowling ball

  • The term "dwarf planet" is offensive to it. It prefers to be called "little planet".

  • namecalling is human, we could also name planets by a definition of

    world 1

    world 2

    world 1a

    world1b

we're already doing this with stars. Which attacks humans on their initiatives cause we rather give our planets, moons, stars a human name (historical or present name) rather then a number. If the latter is applied to all we wouldnt have these imbecilic discussions, just because a kid grew up with knowing pluto was a planet and is whining now just because their only childhood mate was humiliatd

  • WHy pity pluto?

It was by far and lesser proportions the tiny miniature planet among the planets. Now its the kingda da ka godzilla of all the dwarf planets.

How do you think pluto would feel, saddened, or happier? I think its the latter.

In other words (pluto lover) why do you whine. Taking out the pure imbecility of loving a larger rock then others in the first place. I love my girlfriend, not my rock.

    Grow up.

  • well this kid dnt now pluto it dnt take the same number off earth years to travel round the sun. earth takes 325 days or somthing and pluti takes 247 years to go round the sun .

  • They found Pluto's 4th moon now. ^_^ Even more reasons to be excited for the 2015 pictures!

  • @mtavares92 Nobody said that you did need to hear it though? Ahhhh the beautiful control we have called volume. One turn and it’s all better.

A gay song hey? Well, just like humans... Each song to its own desires I guess. I won’t pass judgement on its sexual beliefs. Do you know the song well to have made such a comment? Just wondering…

  • Pluto planet of death like Saturn...

  • Pluto should be considered planet... is the planet of my sign

  • plutos a cool planet

  • it has an orbit therefore it is a planet as man says i breathe, i see, i hear, and i walk therefore i am REAL. PLUTO is a living breathing entity it has three children so it fully grown into an adult. We judge life by our knowledge of pre determined existence, who are we to make judgements based on scientific interpretation. A planet is a planet and Pluto does not deserve de-classification. Lets face it Saturn is a Gas giant does that make it a 'whole' planet or not?

  • @oldskooler1

pluto is part of over several quadrillion similar sized rocks orbiting the solar system. Theirfore we should consider there are so many quadrillion other planets. There arent even a quadrillion names, so how could we define all of them.

The moon also has a orbit. Is the moon a planet?

Maybe the moon is a planet in a planet, cause its orbiting with the planet, perhaps thats your knowledge, just putitng words in your mouth. Its just that we all know the moon is a moon. HAHA.

  • @oldskooler1

Matter with lower density floats over higher density matter. If you compress all the matter of saturn to solid, you might end up with a earth sized planet (actually 3 times bigger in case you were curious. If there was a reason to classify a planet as saturn or jupiter to a different definition of things it would be super planet or gas planet, anything else then being minor.

  • MOON IS LARGESR THAN PLUTO GANYMEDE IS LARGER THAN THE FOLLOWING:MERCURY AND PLUTO

  • pluto is dead now pluto runs away go back here little planet solar system if for dwarf planet and planets

  • nope pluto is and always will be a planet to me....lol

  • Had this declassification happened before New Horizons was launched, it wouldn't have even been funded. Chew on that.

  • Plus, the notion that Ceres isn't a planet and that we can't have more than X planets is a cultural one, not a scientific one. There is no reason for the definition to not be arbitrary, and as such, was specifically designed to exclude Pluto and hence decrease the sum total of world knowledge in the name of assuaging one of the discoverers of Eris' ego (the other opposed the decision IIRC).

  • The issue with Pluto's declassification is it decreases the sum total of knowledge. Every video you see from now until the decision gets reversed will be how Pluto's not significant --as a planet--. Consider the average learning of a Youtuber. Nobody knows about Ceres and within a few short years they won't know what Pluto is. No I am not exaggerating.

Pluto still is qualitatively different from Eris etc. being a binary system larger than Eris.

  • awesome.! :DD

  • He isn't a dwarf planet, he calls out to me, Pluto is something more than any of you would ever know.

  • Pluto is tell very mysterious, did you think the aliens will come to kill us because we kicked it off the planet list.

  • @laksikan234

    I think so, yes.

  • Pluto in Scorpio, baby!! XD

  • Pluto is not a planet because it was against the rules and it is a star and its going to Jupiter orbit !

  • no rants about the vid itself though, its great. as for all your vids.

  • @Armigo91 "The day that pluto was declassified as a planet i coud hear pluto cry from 3,7billion miles away. Then i realized it wasnt pluto that cried, but the pathetic people around me."

I swear I DIED laughing when I read that. XDDD Lmfao!!

Anyways, though, I agree with you. That's crazy to cry over it. I mean, yeah, I love Pluto and I was like "Oh that's sad" when it was demoted, but then I went on with my life. Hahaha.

  • ludicrous concept of declassification, please stop and get a life.

the day i heard about plutos declassification, i was like oh, ye right........and i moved on.

i get to youtube, and see 10movies titled (pluto not a planet ZOMG OMFG)

and 100people act suicidal because mr necktie in costume from houston decided to declassifie it.

folks.........what are you peoples problems, to hell with you emotional unstabilized disabled freaks.

just keep it to real astronomy and get lost...

  • Debating, and spending countless of tax dollars on a debate to classify a object is just the tipping point of insanity. First off, it doesnt matter if we call pluto a dwarf planet or a planet. It doesnt affect pluto, and id strongly believe it wouldnt affect us.

I guess pluto just has some psychologic meaning to many of us,

well, let me enlighten you, pluto is still circling the sun,

nothing has happened to it since it declassification.

So to everyone that whines or cries upon this

  • that there are even people that cry because pluto isnt a planet is beyond my understanding. Pluto is a very large rock, and earth is also a very large rock, just several times larger.

The term planet, is just a............TERM??????

in 300years we'll have so many planet discovered that we need to classify all of them by a new.......TERM.

Will that be a reason to cry????

its not like pluto disolved, after we declassified it, so i see no concern to whine or even cry.

  • The day that pluto was declassified as a planet i coud hear pluto cry from 3,7billion miles away. Then i realized it wasnt pluto that cried, but the pathetic people around me. Planet, dwarf planet, asteroid, or comet. Its just a name label. Thats like whining that you accidently bought coca cola zero instead of regular coca cola. Same thing in a different package.

I cant hardly imagine that such a useless debate is worth the time and effort to debate about.

  • MARVELOUS JOB! KEEP UP THE INCREDIBLE WORK! IT'S TRULY INSPIRING & FASCINATING! YOU BRING ASTRONOMY (I <3 SCIENCE!) TO A WHOLE NEW LEVEL! The Music is GREAT, & fits PERFECT with your AMAZING VIDEOS! THUMBS UP! Pluto IS a mystery, but many answers should soon be revealed! A Binary Systems' center is called a "Barycenter". I THINK Pluto & Charon are much like the Gorgeous & Odd moon, TRITON! I CAN'T WAIT WHAT NEW HORIZONS FINDS! =D

"The Universe is a Beautiful, Mysterious, & Chaotic Place."

    -Kyle

  • Re binary system, that's debated. By your and the one side's definition, when the moon has receded far enough from earth, then the earth and moon will be a binary system.

  • Well, even though it's been demoted, it's still beautiful and a part of our solar system. It will always be a part of our family.

  • Your videos are great (not only Pluto) & I'm even created "personal Solar System" in my Favorites :D The only question which I have: your videos are about all planets and large moons, with the exception of Callisto. Why?

  • @AtolRu2 "Callisto. Why?" Just a lack of time i am afraid. :O( Maybe in the future? :O)

  • -225 degrees celcius? If you were able to pick up a small rock on its surface would the cold burn your hand off? Its an impossibly cold place...!

  • wow i would love to see this farest plnet from earth during night times and i cant wait the pictures realeased by horisson iamvery glad tsee the pictures and condition of pluto in my life time so please release the pictures as soon as horison landed on plutos surface please realease the pictures

  • Aggmanuk! I greatly encourage you to combine all of your solar system videos into a little documentary! Your presentation style is awesome! I'de love to see all of them, in order, in HD! These are all fantastic and I plan on using them in my high school earth/space science class. You rock!!!

  • I'm looking forward to 2015 when they get more detailed pictures of Pluto and its surface. What we know about Pluto today is not much except that it's a cold place!

  • I dont know what is it. But i always had some specific kind of feeling about pluto. From the moment I heard and read about it although theres not much to say about it. But both my intuition and instinct suggest that pluto is one of the few (if not the only) body in our solar system that contains life (most likely microbes)

Ive had similar feelings in other situations and those feelings were always true in confrontation withr reality. But everyone has its visions. So im just a nobody.

  • I've been watching alot of your videos lately. Spectacularly done! Very interesting facts and wonderful selection of music to accompany the visuals. Thank you so much. Best wishes.

  • I like the fact Pluto and Charon are actually revolving each other rather than Charon revolving Pluto, Really nice presentations on Saolar system I learned so much and Also beautiful music.............let it keep coming

  • i hope our New Horizon will be okay while on it's way to visit our Junior Pluto.. :D can't wait for 2015..

  • i love pluto!

  • nice info but the music is more enjoyable

  • i love these space videos

  • HA! the space craft is only half way throgh its trip, so it would be near the orbit of Uranus

  • Pluto is a giant observation post.

artificial to our solar system like the moon

  • The dwarf planet pluto is just like a cute little kid.the song on this video makes me cry

  • Comment removed

  • New interesting photos have arrived today with planet Pluto from the Hubble Telescope, includes more details of Pluto's surface

  • Thanks for that info i'm doin a projesct in schhol bout pluto

  • I'll always think of Pluto as a planet no matter what people say! YOU ROCK PLANET PLUTO!

  • ty for the info

  • Fascinating!!

    5*

  • AggmanUK, your videos are positively addicting!

  • Can't wait to see pictures of Pluto/Charon when New Horizons sends back pictures. New Horizons is picking up where Voyager left off.

  • One day takes nearly a week.

  • oddly enough, Pluto was unaffected by the decision of Earth scientists to classify it as a dwarf planet. However, Pluto has remained unavailable for comment until its scheduled interview in July of 2015.

  • LOL! I await it's reaction with baited breath. Go Pluto! :O)

  • @AggManUK lol yeah I can't wait either. Thanks by the way, I subscribe to you now, very helpful videos and I use them with my nephew and neices and they love them.

  • im not afraid to say it, pluto sucks...it should be demoted look how useless it is....awful...little drawf....

  • "Little Dwarf" might consist of something very precious and valuable enough to sustain life, who knows? I mean look at Titan, it's small and rich in hydrocarbons...

  • If i was pluto id be like, "Y'all better treat me with respect" *Slaps jupiter*

ANd the sun will expand eating the planets... but watch it wont reach pluto

  • When the sun does finally explode, the sun will lose much of it's gravitational pull, and pluto will be free to drift off into the great abyss of space...

until it is eventually eaten by a black hole or consumed by a star.

In July 14, 2015 we will hopefully have much better pictures of Pluto, courtesy of the New Horizons flyby, so mark your calender. I can't wait to see some other Kuiper belt objects too!

  • I agree, Pluto could agree, But if the sun expands it will swallow That two faced hippogrit Saturn!

  • It doesn't matter how many times I see this piece about Pluto, I still love it!

  • Thats great! :O)

  • I'll make a presentation about Pluto in 2 weeks !

I'm french and I will do it in english so, it helps me !

Thanks a lot for that video Agg ! I will watch it manytimes I think !

  • Your very welcome! Many thanks for watching! All the best! :O)

  • Even though it orbit is different we still love you pluto!!! i just realizede, What if the other planets bully her o_o'

  • If the other Planets bully Pluto, we can bitch slap them by Law! :O)

  • Damn right! ^_^!!!

me and my dad decided that pluto is special, the inner planets are metal and rock, gas giants are gas and liquids, and little pluto is Ice and water, She is indeed unique

  • Comment removed

  • umm no the girls are Earth, Venus, Eris, Pluto, Ceres, and sedna

  • Comment removed

  • No pluto is a female planet, shes the goddess of the underworld Look it up on wikepedia

  • OHHH you mean the one who found it was female? SHE named the dwarf planet Pluto because it was so dark and cold, which in greek mythology reflects Hades (Pluto's equivalent). Sorry for the misunderstanding...

  • Dosent matter

  • Comment removed

  • admit what? admit that i was right. Hades is the greek god of the underworld, so Pluto is it roman counterpart

  • I did say that

  • umm i said it in different words

  • one of my favorites, thanx agg.

  • Many thanks for watching! All the best! :O)

  • "Dwarf" Planet Pluto! No No Its the 9th planet from the Sun and its a real Planet icey and rocks with a real core with an atmosphere its has 3 Moons its has more going for it than Mercury They jumped the gun on pluto by demoting it the more we learn about this Planet the more they have made a mistake it will allways be the the 9th planet no mater what these retards say . Oh well whats next Dwarf Planet Mercury Now we will be the 2nd Planet from the Sun .

  • It's not just down to the Planet itself, a lot of the reasoning comes down to Pluto's orbit around the Sun. It has still to clear its orbit, and at one point in its orbit it is closer to the Sun than Neptune. :O) As for Mercury, if one of the currently running theories turns out to be correct, then Mercury is the left over remnants of a Gas Giant! LOL Personally, I think they should have left Pluto alone!!! :O)

  • Just think of this like throwing a Monkey wrench in calling Pluto a Dwarf Planet with a icey like ocean atmosphere with a hot core causing hot pockets under the icey water thawing out finding aquitic life living on Pluto now what will they call Pluto. Bet it will be back as a REAL Life supporting Planet not too metion its obit around the Sun :D Now would be headline News .2015 prob will be there from NASA. I'm with you on they should have left Pluto alone.

  • Let's just say Pluto is special and it's too late to deplete Pluto of the "olympians" of the solar system allright? If Pluto was depleted from the solar system then Hades would have no planet :( how sad is that? It's like all the greek gods and goddesses have their own planet except Hades...

  • If anyone comes into my home and says that Pluto isn't a planet, we're going to fight.

  • lol

  • :o . . . thats all? lol k then

  • i still think that the IAU should have had Pluto and Charon be considered a binary planet, instead of a of Plutoid.....sigh oh well... nothing i can do since I'm still in college.

  • A binary planet would have been a great name! Best of luck with your college work! :O)

  • I never knew that Pluto was Planet X, is Planet X the planet that people say that will come to earth and there will be chaos cause there will be alot of astroids and stuff happening

  • no thats nemesis, or also called the death star. its something that is hidden behind the sun :)

  • Planet X is actually a scientific term for any Planet we have yet to identify. Most people use as that Planet X term to refer to "Nibiru", which is at the core of my research.

  • Thanks for watching, i think the guys below have answered your query well. :O) So thanks to you all! :O)

  • Pluto is a "special" dwarf planet because it already has a main roman God name, Pluto. The other dwarf planets have lesser God/Goddess names, what do you think? Also when we thought there were nine planets in our solar system, they were named for the main olympian God names: Hermes through Hades...

  • It's open to debate on the reason for naming Pluto, Pluto. Some say it is because Pluto is dark to us a lot of the time, so therefore named after Hades. On the other hand, some say it may have been given its name from the fact that its symbol "PL" are the initials of Percival Lowell, who founded the observatory where Pluto was discovered. At least we can safely say it was not after the dog owned by Mickey Mouse. :O)

  • Oh well whatever it is, they all have something in common: Pluto is dark and cold like the god of the underworld, Percival Lowell, and also the dog Pluto likes snow. :) All the best!

  • leave pluto alone just because its small....

  • You can rest assured that i never laid a finger on it! :O)

  • I'm aware that New Horizons is on the way there and has a website to show the progress. Now, isn't Pluto now classified as a KBO (Kupier Belt object) among 3 or 4 categories of dwarf planets. Also asteroids between Mars and Jupiter is also classified as dwarf planets, too, i.e. Ceres, Pallas, and Juno. Correct?

  • They are all possibilities. It is also thought Neptunes moon Triton is a KBO.

  • Do you have information about the dwarf planet Eris ?I know only that it is bigger than Pluto ...

  • I do yes, but it would take forever to type. :O( Just google Dwarf Planet Eris and you should find plenty. :O) All the best!

  • A video about Eris would be nice, but there isn't much to go on yet. :P Perhaps one about all the non-Pluto large KBOs? (Eris, Quaoar, Sedna, Haumea, Ixion, Makemake, Varuna, Orcus...)

  • Anothee five stars for magnificent works !!

  • Thank you very much for watching and leaving the great comment! :O) All the best!

  • Thank you for such a well put together piece. It will be very interesting to find out more information about Pluto and its moons. I wonder if Mt. Stromlo, Canberra, Australia will be involved, do you know?

  • I really don't know? Sorry about that. Thank you very much for watching and the great comment! :O)

  • is theres a space craft going to all of the planets omg.......... i do believe theres life in another planets... i just hope one day we all can see it....

  • There is a spacecraft on its way to Pluto. There is also life out there, but where and what type of life is another question. :O) All the best!

  • realy good music you have used

also i see yoy have used some great videos from esa.

  • Mike Oldfield is a great musician, and the video and pictures are from plenty of different sources. :O) Many thanks for watching! All the best! :O)

  • Yes i understand that, :O) but do you have a name for it please? Do you still have it installed? Where did you get it from? I would love to try it!!! :O)

  • Interesting, hmm so let's say there was a gas giant almost as big as the sun and bigger than Jupiter, would it affect both of their orbits? Would the sun become a binary system with that planet? Just wondering..

  • To many variables! :O) Anything of that size would alter, more or less, every orbit in the solar system. For it to become a binary system, it and the sun would have to orbit a common point in space. But it depends where your planet is. Normally though, to call a system Binary, you need two suns. So it would have to be a planet simular to the suns mass etc... Any planet of this size would more than likely turn into a sun :O) LOL

  • Whoa interesting..I did this simulation of stars, planets, etc...and their orbits, binary system, etc. It's really interesting! It's this program I forgot what it's called, but I put four bodies: a binary system consisting of a star like our sun and another star just slightly smaller than it, with planets orbitting around it. I launched it and see what happens. One of the planet would orbit the sun, the other planet would orbit the other star. If you want you can search it online. All the best!

  • Search for what? :O) lol

  • check out the orbit/gravity simulator called "Universe Sandbox"

  • I just have and it is awsome! Love the galaxy collisions. Thanks for the info! All the best! :O)

  • the guy who made it is working hard at incorporating multicore support, so at some point in time it will be incredible to watch.

  • Look forward to it! :O)

  • Hey Agg I bought universe sandbox and I'm having fun with it! This program does turn out to be amazing...

  • Nice one! I must admit, i had great fun with the demo. :O)

  • Forget my query on Neptune - I just found this video!

  • I hope you enjoyed it! All the best! :O)

  • I try to encourage everyone to watch your videos because they're simply amazing! Once again, all the best ^_^!

  • Yes. Thats why the video is called the Dwarf planet Pluto, and it is also explained in the video that it is no longer a planet. Thanks for watching! :O)

  • This is realy realy great man! Congratz with this beautifull biografic of Pluto and other objects in our soler system mate! The music is realy wonderfull and it's just like it was made for this videos of yours. Keep on going the great work AggManUK!

    Greetzz from Belgium!

    Timmy.

  • Thanks very much Timmy, your very kind! All the best to you in Belgium from the UK!!! :O)

  • Well AggMan, it suits me a person like you make education a pleasure..I mean you know how to combine music with astronomy and astrology and perhaps Mike Oldfields music was destined for space educational purposes I guess...

Pluto's song feels like a new generation thing, kind of like its purpose in astrology...

  • Hello again! :O) Your very kind and may i say thanks again for your great comments and support! You rock! :O)

  • Comment removed

  • Of course not! :O)

  • i love planets can u do an soler eclipse?

  • There is a little info on it in my Earth video. :O) All the best!

  • thanks for uploading the great video. I got a lot of the facts from you. I'm doing a report on Pluto and you just gave me at least 20 facts that are really great. I might get an A+ in Science because of you. I'm in fourth grade and I'm learning about the planets and the galaxy and the solar system. I'm SUBSCRIBING TO YOU!!!!

  • Thats great and the whole idea of doing them! Best of luck with your report, let me know how you get on. If you want more info on the other planets and moons have a look at my other videos. There are 19 so far. All the best and thanks for subscribing! :O)

  • wow this was great Thx for up load this AggManUK . I give you 10/10 for this Video.

  • Your very kind! Thank you very much for watching and the great comment! All the best! :O)

  • wow very nice video few things interest me since i wasnt good at school when i saw this video it interest me alot reading everything :D very nice video mate keep it up!!

  • Your very kind! Thank you very much for watching and the great comment! All the best! :O)

  • I had to login to say what a fantastic video this is. Very informative for a novice like me who is becoming more interested in astronomy the older I get. love the original frames too of pluto. you just have to marvel at the distance of some of these planets, they are fantastical. great music too to accompany the video.

  • LOL! I hope you enjoy learning from my videos. Many thanks for watching and the great comment! All the best! :O)

  • Your work is amazing, thanks. Thought you might have one movie about nibru?

  • Thanks for watching! All the best! :O)

  • nice!

  • Many thanks! :O)

  • interesting! mercury and pluto's glyph are somehow similar but reversed..

Mercury: )O+ (mind above spirit over matter)

Pluto: o)+ (spirit above mind over matter)

once again, your videos are amazing! it associates alot with astrology too...

  • Thank you very much for the info and thanks for watching! Pluto also has another symbol that looks like PL put together. All the best! :O)

  • yes, there are so many coincidences and miracles in this world that are undiscovered by us heheh..and pluto is one of them.

PL o)+ (they all spell pluto heheh interesting)

  • Yours are some of the very best videos I have seen on youtube! Well done;) 5*****

  • You are very kind! :O) Thanks for the great comment and more so for watching! Your a Star! :O)

  • I have to say these vid's are so expertly done, they should be watched in every school in the country. Magnificent!!

  • Your very kind, many thanks! :O) I am so happy that other people learn from them. I have also been told by a couple of people that they are in some way being used in schools. Thats fantastic and i am really thrilled! :O)

  • You did a nice job of the video, and picked some good musical accompaniment.

  • Thank you very much for the great comment, and taking time to watch! All the best! :O)

  • pluto is such a cutie!

  • It is, and the poor thing is so far away. :O) Thanks for watching, all the best! :O)

  • excellent video thanx for the music and the info

well done,,, thank you so much for this video and the music,,,, my regards....

  • You very welcome! Thank you very much for watching and leaving such a great comment! All the best! :O)
