@Maestrp37388 - the next solo in the book moves to the 2nd pattern pentatonic and adds reverse bends into the techniques employed, also ups the pace a liitle. Just about got wishing well exam version under my fingers as a guitar and bass jam, so will probably get to record that as well this week. Practice practice practice and even more practice. (If i had put this much effort in when I was young I might have been a virtuoso by now lol)
@metalmickage I did Wishing Well just so I can teach it to someone who might like to learn it. Other than that, I was not really fond of it. I think I might try that solos book you have, but I am willing to bet you have to order it from overseas. They do not make good strucured learning books like this in the United States. I'm just glad I found them at all, somewhere. On the practice thing, I feel your pain. Mind telling me how old you are anyway Mick? I' myself am 40.
@Maestrp37388 - John, my age is on my channel profile for the world to see, I've been fortunate to reach the grand old age of 56:-) (my wife would say that I have never grown up though) I'm not sure yet whether playing guitar will keep my fingers supple as I get older or it will bring the inevitable sooner, we will see, what matters is that I'm enjoying what I am doing now!!.
@metalmickage i actually think that playing music helps keep the fingersagile. I have had older students, 70+ tell me their doctors told them to take up an instrument for the arthritis that is setting in onthem. 56 eh? Well, you're doing quite well and it's clear to me that you enjoy what you're doing. That actually projects when you play for an audience. Ever do much of that??
@MichelleMuso - thanks Michelle, I see you've uploaded yours again, it was your solo that made me want the book, good job, but somebody unfortunately don't like my version, I got 4 dislikes from 14 views :-(
@MCguit88 - Hi Mike, the backing tracks for this book are included on a CD. I had meant to ask you the same about your KISS tracks, the vocals sound really authentic, are you playing over the original recording, or is it your collab friend.
@metalmickage Hey Mick,on the recent Kiss tracks I used the original recordings, although on some tunes I'll use a backing track if I can find one.The collaborations I do with drums and bass etc.are all original thanks for asking I like your videos.
well done
small signs of a first finger vibrato
