It is most definitely true that heirloom variety seeds have more nutrition in the finished yield, than modernized seed. Many people forget that the seeds themselves need to come from the healthiest possible source, preferably open-pollinated, or heirloom seed, before even starting the process of growing an organic plant that has more nutrition.
@murtoatom Most studies from the 1970s to the present suggest organic can feed the world. Here are some review studies which review dozens of studies and there are many more as well. srfood.org/images/stories/pdf/press_releases/20110308_agroecology-report-pr_en.pdf
@OmerTheGreatOne A study published in the journal Renewable Agriculture and Food Systems, based on 293 yield comparisons of plant and animal foods, showed that organic agriculture had the potential to feed the entire human population based on the amount of agricultural land currently in use.
Thanks for the nice talk! I have a been an organic farmer for 11 years now. Organic wheat in Montana has higher Selenium levels than non organic wheat does too!
