You will now hear this term more and more! It is a internet monopoly! Look up “ Internet 2” on youtube Major Internet companies are Lobbying w/google spread the word GOOGLE AND Other Servers will take our entire free internet away! You've been Warned!

It's all about controlling the downloading of information. Government don't want us to store information on personal machines. Also it's a pay as you go service per site. The internet 2012 controlling the traffic of information via internet.
I can see a lot of IT jobs going away!

I don't think the Gdrive will or the cloud will ever substitute the hard drive.
Think about it, what if the cloud would have been created before the hard drives? wouldn't the public be now craving to have one? Your own private hard drive, where you can secretely keep your precious personal info without the risk of share it with somebody else?
Who wants to get on a bus if you can drive your own vehicle?

What about the danger of centralization of information where our every detail of our lives will be recorded and accessible and as you say "can be used for anything". I see a clear new colonisation matrix in the making a NWO. What a great tool to cotrol the new world. I hope it doesn't fall in the wrong hands :)

wow I watched the entire video and glad I did. The possibilities along with problems all integrated with what level of change cloud computing/web 2.0 will bring are discussed here, and I really enjoyed this post workshop panel. How great it is that I don't happen to be there to listen to this remarkable panel...how how interesting that I am the first person who was passionate enough to put a few words about this great video:)
