  • Excellent idea!! I wonder if the high output had something to do with the old socks??

  • Oh! I use a water and baking soda solution only. Ran my hose into my breather cap.

  • Thanks for your innovation! You opened my mind to what can be used. I made one and now my gas hand hardly moves at all. Do you think the shape of the steel creates a field that increases the flow? With me driving a 1984 E150 6cyl, single carb, van, you are a life saver. As a test, I put mine inside a large Tide plastic bottle with stainless wool and stainless stranded wire up to the top. Then #14 stranded copper to a ignition controlled circuit. I think I will drive the test indefinately.

  • Isn't that just hydrogen gas?

  • Awesome dude...are you gonna try and run something with it...maybe try and get some sort of electric gene conected ?

    Ohh and for def sub'd

  • Use better not washed socks , worn at least for 2 weeks . You will not need to use winegar...(joke) . good gheto hho-lizer though.

  • lol garbage.. that'll last like 30mins b4 the copper wire is oxidized .. therefore no conection

  • I am old socks and I approve this video!

  • ok wtf that was so great im going to make one lol

  • lol its little HHO..... :D

Im used to working with dry cells now, i remember making those little ones.....

But cook trick, and the sock keeps everything a bit safer from an eletrical standpoint...

  • the fact you added vinegar proves to me you have no clue to the more efficient process you speak of. still can't fault the simplicity.

  • This project actually works maybe i'll win the Science Fair

  • this will work for a short time but the copper wires will oxydize quikly . its a simple design. anyone can do it . good work

  • wait how did you make the hydrogen go into the cup?

  • What kind of wires do you need? i'm trying this experiment out for my school project

  • i like it !!

  • NICE

  • nice that is a awsome way 2 build one

  • it is a good idea an your recyclin, i made a converter from a quart mason jar, 2 copper plated plates, 1 old extension cord, and about 3 feet of fish tank airator hose and it puts out around twice this amount of usuable hydrogen in the same time span. and its only wired to a 12 volt car battery sitting on my work bench, no alternator attached.

  • Hey, thats really creative! Not a very high output, but creative never the less :)

  • not superinventive but nice ;)

  • um, actually this would make a 66%/33% blend of hydrogen/oxygen, but it would be a great mixture for blowing things up with :P

  • Fucking Awesome!!! You are a legend

  • How much fossil fuel did you burn to produce the electricity? When you have more "free" energy going out than going in, then I'll get excited.

  • So people can experiment cause they are making using fossil fuels. your a bit slow sorry.

    Watch this video watch?v=jvessO6dS8Y&

    I'll say it clearly, in this video watch?v=jvessO6dS8Y&, he;

    1. He uses solar for his house hold electricity needs

    2. Excess solar he uses for HHO electrolysis to be stored for later use

Now do you understand people who criticize other have a serious inability to critically think about solving problems.

  • The biggest need for an alternate power source is transportation, thus the all the hype around "HHO" and most of these experiments on youtube. In a vehicle, you have to pipe electricity into electrolosis to get your hydrogen and oxygen. It takes energy to create the electricity. My point is, unless you are using some free source of electrons (solar) you can't make a gain you only convert. A vehicle using alternator current will not gain engery by the converstion. I just want to make that clear.

  • I want to make clear that in a depression/recession transport wont heat and light your home and cook your food etc

Going off the grid using solar and HHO electrolysis and storing the hydrogen is very important to any one following the US economy and politics at the moment.

So don't listen to pessimists and keep your minds alive every one!

  • I assume you meant "transportation".

When someone produces a safe, affordable hydrogen generator/collector/burner, I'll have a look at it. Affordable to me means I won't spend more money on a safe system than it will ultimately save me if I stayed on the grid. Right now I can buy solar panels that produce enough to use and sell excess back to the grid. Battery stores enough for overnight use and I'm not dealing with a combustible gas on a homemade system.

  • The problem is there is so many people trying to profit from small ideas and fraudlent devices with HHO that you have to be skeptical. If you can point out a general knowledge base about these types of ideas that is not trying to sell some "kit" or plans for something that only make my wallet lighter, it would be helpful. These videos are fun to watch but lack any real knowledge and many are ads for gimmics. I want substance.

  • He is showing you how to make a HHO electrolysis device out of a SOCK AND METAL SCRUBBER THING

  • Yeah, no shit. Then what do you do with it? Light it with a match and huddle over it for heat like a caveman? Get the point?

  • I love narrow minded people like yourself, you can sit in your cave if you like use a match??

or again ill slowly educate you how to use stored hydrogen... ok .. its not too much for you is it? just watch this video

    watch?v=xEdQRVQtffw&

  • You're talking about something like this:

    watch?v=xEdQRVQtffw&

How much you think a system like this would cost?

  • It's an easy gain if your fuel source nets a higher yield than the energy used to produce it. If you couldn't gain from using electricity to separate fuels and create the vacuum of lets say your engine then your car would not exist.

  • come again...?

  • Justice, you're another one of those critics that think science can't truly deliver aren't you? Hey, guys like you thought the world was flat and someone (bet you don't know who... lol) Proved them wrong. Science will always have skeptics, keep playing your part my friend.

  • OK, well obviously your not reading all my posts to you. I just pointed that video out to you this morning. Here, I'll repost my comment about that:

You're talking about something like this:

    watch?v=xEdQRVQtffw&

How much you think a system like this would cost?

Now here's the real question. WHO has got that kind of money to save far less then you spent??? I know my bills. I know a system like that would cost $100 plus to build. by my calc, it would 50 years to recoop the cost.

  • come on plz... this is getting annoying, you are posting on a video where a guy makes a HHO electrolysis machine with a FLIPPING SOCK AND MESH SCRUBBER FFS

If you are resource full you can make all this easily

  • You started it bud. I'm just responding to your derogatory comments. I'll tell you, it amazes me how if anyone questions the realistic application of these experiments, they're labeled pro big oil, anti alternative or whatever like you do. Let me ask you, do you own a home, pay bills, have kids? I do. Have you applied any alt energy to your home? I have. Judging by your comments I doubt all that.

  • Yeah .. I'm Sry.. I feel like all the anti conspiracy people are attacking us.

I suffered from mercury poison for many years from vaccines and i have just recovered and am learning what has happened to me and is happening to the world.

In the process I have been termed a conspiracy nut so I am so angry at society who have let this happen.

But your wrong I have a family and kids and am is slogging it out in this inflationable economy.

  • Ah, see, now I feel guilty. Hehe. Well, at least we see eye to eye now. Hey, I want the best for all of us too. If I found out that someone had something and was bought out or killed I'll be one of those speaking out loud about it. I experiment with stuff myself but know of no magical hidden method to make energy on the cheap. I use solar, wood heat and modified air systems to keep the heating bills down. Haven't sunk much $ into anything elaborate. Well, good luck with the mercury thing.

  • I'll let you get back to listening to your hero, Art Bell. Maybe he knows of some amazing techno bullshit that aliens have brought down to Earth to save us, which the Government is covering up. Oh damn, I just spilled the beans.

  • what the FUCK r U both talking about???

  • I have about 5 power supplies in my garage.

  • looks like kiwi enginuity

  • interesting method of insulation. very good

  • Fantastic! I was expecting something less inteligent but indeed this is worthy of best use of old socks ever. Best part is, it works. keep up the good work.

  • thats a good idea but, does the water stay clear or get dirty real fast?

  • You can detonate will not explode as long you have water container like dryer.

But please do not try at home.

May be not have any experence.

  • One of the best viodes ever.

    Thx!

  • Hey man...How dirty must they be?

  • I have been wrestling with a similar idea in my head never thought about the socks though. Great idea thanks for shareing and please look at my generators and make suggestions.

  • does it smell socks?

  • Can you please give more information on the wool specifics, maybe a brand or web where to buy it online? hard to get the stailess steel kind in Central Amerfica. Many Thanks

  • Excellent idea, very imaginative. I will try it, gas is $4.40 in Guatemala right now. I need urgently to succeed with local available materials.

  • my socks smells like sh*t,will that work?

  • this is a very smart invention thanks for the ideas!

  • well like i didnt wanna detonate it but i wanted to use it for fuel. for a caR OR WELDING GUN OR SOMETHING

  • DUDE! i have all these items laying in my room and i didnt buy them for this purpose lol except all my socks smell and have holes in them :)

  • lol...very good. wonder if a thinner socks would have given more of a production of hho...

  • No but a higher amperage and voltage supply would.

  • excelente video didactique !

  • this is crazy,..as in crazy genius. This may be the beginning of a revolution as more and more people are starting to see 'ordinary' SS items in a whole new way.

I've always thought to find a way to use stainless scrubbers.

  • Would new socks work as well or does the toe jam and smell add to the gas production??

  • very sexy

  • lol, was creative. I'm yet to see a youtube'r running their car solely on hho...

    keeping the fingers crossed

  • jura, ti si care!

  • hvala, dodijale su mi priče o skupom inoxu i posebnim elektrolitima... uglavnom čarape sa octom dobro rade

  • @jurah2o sorry! what is this for? what are the uses of it? nice video!

  • Creative!

    jack

  • Hey Jurah, could I run the wires out of my big toe holes?

    Good effort,cheers!

  • This wins my prize as strangest HHO extraction apparatus ever! Just shows how easy it really is to create the gas. Now figuring out how to handle it safely and get work out of it becomes the real trick.

  • could you use the inox.wool as a neutral. "ss.outerpipe, sock, inox.wool, sock, ss.innerpipe ? nice "pop" seems very H rich brown gas.

  • I can, but difficult. i use a chair full time. And my cam is not working.hehe I have made many cells tho. never the same twice.

  • Thats Cool, Did your HHO smell of cheese?

    lol

  • yeah! like gorgonzola /:)

  • quite an adaptation...
