I am an addict in recovery for the rest of my life after starting to shoot speed in 1995. I have been clean for almost four years now and every day I am grateful to a higher power that I do not use meth any longer. I still get chills when I think about my former actions and I do pray daily about my recovery. I cannot believe the pro-drug comments on this video. My cousin's daughter used meth off and on for 22 years. Starting at age 17. This addiction brought her to some some years as an escort, brought her to prison twice, and she was lost to her 3 children for 9 years. She has now been clean for 3 years, and she shows none of the terrible physical affects of meth. She still is not working, due to her mother making excuses for her. Meth destroyed all that she might have achieved. She cannot plan. Spends all her time, all hours on Facebook.

pain pills have already passed the meth epedemic now in the united states. heroin is almost gone along with cocaine. its legal to obtain and most addicts get them legally from doctors. there is a lot of little old ladies who have become drug dealers now. its not just the poor crack head looking home less people. its every where. now. teenagers are taking advantage of it from their own medicine cabinets and dying.

If you want to quit for real get some suboxone and some benzo's and the worse withdrawl you will get is the coldsweats and your stomach will be fucked up for like a day. However, you will not get sick, no cramps and after a week(two just to be safe) you won't need the pills anymore. My poison was roxi's and 80's and I had to cold turkey but I had a girlfriend at the time and when i got locked up she quit with that formula and she was doin like almost 30 roxi's a day. Good luck

Sad story. My best friend got messed up with meth and ended up spending 11 months in Jail for abusing his daughter. He has been out for 3 years, but can't stay sober. I have known the guy since I was 4 years old, and it scares me everyday, but unfortunately I have to wait for him to either make a big mistake or realize it isn't right. Meth is a horrible drug. I tried it once, and it fucked me up for 4 days straight. I have never touched it since.

I am an aspireing DEA agent. Therefore, i've studied drugs for a long time, hoping to get into the DEA when i'm old enough. Meth is by far the most dangerous of any drug out there. It destroys dopimine in your body....dopimine is what makes you happy. The human body doesn't produce dopimine either, so once its gone, its gone. When you hit meth, you will NEVER be as happy as you were then for the rest of your life. Meth destroys you....DON'T do it!

If you want to quit for real get some suboxone and some benzo's and the worse withdrawl you will get is the coldsweats and your stomach will be fucked up for like a day. However, you will not get sick, no cramps and after a week(two just to be safe) you won't need the pills anymore. My poison was roxi's and 80's and I had to cold turkey but I had a girlfriend at the time and when i got locked up she quit with that formula and she was doin like almost 30 roxi's a day. Good luck

I'm not even sure what a Roxy is? I've heard it from american's but we don't have em around here, it's mostly oxy's. and I can take anywhere between 2 and 10 80's a day, it's scary as it seems to keep climbing even though I want more than anything to quit! I just need some support!

yeah, but dont make the association that every drug does this to its user. Methamphetamine is a fairly rare example of why drugs can be horrible for you. Meth, crack, heroin, that sort of thing just changes people, but even alcohol and to a very mild degree marijuana can do this. Methamphetamine just turns you into a different person, it makes you delusional and very careless when you actually get addicted to it.

Sad story. My best friend got messed up with meth and ended up spending 11 months in Jail for abusing his daughter. He has been out for 3 years, but can't stay sober. I have known the guy since I was 4 years old, and it scares me everyday, but unfortunately I have to wait for him to either make a big mistake or realize it isn't right. Meth is a horrible drug. I tried it once, and it fucked me up for 4 days straight. I have never touched it since.

I am an aspireing DEA agent. Therefore, i've studied drugs for a long time, hoping to get into the DEA when i'm old enough. Meth is by far the most dangerous of any drug out there. It destroys dopimine in your body....dopimine is what makes you happy. The human body doesn't produce dopimine either, so once its gone, its gone. When you hit meth, you will NEVER be as happy as you were then for the rest of your life. Meth destroys you....DON'T do it!

yes it is sad, but more than likely someone 'altered' her life at a young age as well. most drug addicts have suffered a tramatic event and have had emotional distress that has led them to drugs to begin with, and all they do is put their children in the same position as they were, and the child becomes a drug addict.Its a vicious cycle. For some people, its all they know and they are victims of circumstance. Im not defending their actions but i can understand. Ive been clean for 4 years now.

My sister is 8 months pregnant and a meth user. She uses once in awhile now, but in the beginning it was everyday. She has no drive to change and she is homeless. She disapears months at a time. I don't know how to help her.

God can help her recover. i am a recovering drug addict and what i learned it was not about the drugs it was about me not wanting to feel the way i did and drugs made me feel different. i was addicted for 20 yrs. i do not have kids thank God but i know alot of people chose drugs over their kids. not cuz they wanted to but they couldn't help it. i have found the solution to my drug habit. it is possible to never use again but you have to believe in a power greater than yourself. i pray for her.
