When I saw this video I thought, "oh no, some talentless guy is going to butcher this song - don't do it!"

It's a really great version - congratulations. It takes some skill and guts to cover such a big song but you really pulled it off. Well done.

Great cover, never really like Oldhams original. Johnny Cash like Christy Moore is one of those artists that takes a song and makes it his own. Youve made this your own as well, i love the backup vocals, really lovely.

I love Will Oldham and for me this is one of his best songs. And what a totally compelling interpretation this is - I've watched it many times. Very intense and at the same time not exaggerated, vain or self-indulgent in any way. Well done, David - amazing.
