You should totally do a review on the iMac! I'm planning on buying it and I'd love to know what you think about it. I'm also going to be using mine for video editing with Final cut express, so it's be great if you could let us know how good it is at that.

I personally think its performance is amazing, i can edit in final cut whilst having other programmes open too and so far there's no lag, which is a big improvement from my macbook :)

i meant to put that i do media production at uni and i have to make loads of video assigments to and im wondering wether to get an imac in my next loan installment because im using my mac book pro at the moment with all the adobe stuff... but its going a tad slow... cant cope spesh its the old model.. what you think?

No mate, you're over estimating the software, the Macs at my school run it fine with 2GB, plus it clearly states the system requirements on the Apple website; 2GB will do fine.
