I like how Nolan used one of the lines the TDK movie at the end. It was nostalgia for me!!!! I would recite both the end of TDK and the end of btas Two-face part 2...........Really huge two-face fan, even learned how to flip a coin with one hand.
I hate to bother you with music requests, but you wouldn't happen to have the music from the episode "Appointment in Crime Alley" would you? Regardless awesome theme, thanks for posting :)
I love how the music reflects both personalities- the supposedly lighthearted flute against the much more powerful bass, the childish theme (played, guess what, in two beats) against the mature bass line. It's full of two's, I tells ya. 'the coin says you lose, Batman.'
@Ebasi4ki It's all one song! It's as how @Crashortsofevil said "I love how the music reflects both personalities- the supposedly lighthearted flute against the much more powerful bass, the childish theme (played, guess what, in two beats) against the mature bass line. It's full of two's, I tells ya. 'the coin says you lose, Batman.'"
What's scary about Two-Face is that he's a villain who believes he's doing the right thing. He believed so much in justice that when his concept of justice was tarnished in the courtroom he turned to the most ludicrous, desperate idea possible. Blind luck.
He's like Batman but with no regard for human life, due process, feeling, remorse or compassion.
He's a fascist who's twice as bad as the criminals he hates. And that's what makes him such an amazing villain.
Richard Mull...Bull Shannon gave you this incredible portray of Harvey Dent(Two Face) that was revolutionary for American Cartoons at the time and sadly since.
The music of the series is truly chilling an beautiful. Especially this one... There's something disturbed and sad about it, like a masterpiece who is a masterpiece simply because it's broken.
@WolfGodfather The entire soundtrack really sold the emotions of the show. Along with how great the drawing and themes were and to top it off with triple A vocie acting. I swear shows nowadays can hardly scratch that of TAS.
While I enjoyed The Dark Knights TwoFace, I will always prefer this, for the amount of depth they worked into his character even before he became a Villain.
The ending of Two Face's double-episode origin story is one of the rare occasions where I believed Batman was about to cry from the suffering he was witnessing.
You also have to appreciate that TAS introduced the Harvey character earlier in the show and made us like him (see the Poison Ivy introduction episode). If 2-face was a planned villain for The Dark Knight, then Harvey Dent should have been introduced in Batman Begins... maybe as the DA instead of the throwaway female character they invented.
By far the BEST Two Face EVER! I hope that Richard Moll voices him in Arkham Asylum 2 cuz Two Face is one of the confirmed villians in the upcoming game! That would be AWESOME!!! Next to the Joker, two face is my favorite Batman villain :)
He wasnt silly like batman forever's Tommy Lee Jones
Aaron Eckhart was good but he never became Two-Face, he has half his face ruined but he was still Harvey Dent to everyone, and in The Dark Knight he was nothing more than a fallen hero, out for revenge, with a gun and a coin...
This Two Face had mental problems before his accident, 2 personalities, he is his own enemy, and he is truly disfigured and messed up, Black and White suit, very ying yang
I do agree. You just can't beat Richard Moll's voice. I wish his face was more grotesque, but they did what they could for a kids show. If it wasn't for that, this interpretation would be perfect.
@JDreamProductions My Favorite Harvey Dent is of the comics Batman Year One and Long Halloween but i what do i know. Oh and the difference between Harvey Dent and Two Face in Dark Knight is Two Face was the Screamy Guy.
@JDreamProductions you r kidding right? Aaron Eckhart played that role to perfection and you seem to forget that to everyone he is still harvey dent. read the Long halloween and u'll know what i mean. There are not 2 personalities at once in his mind. He just flips the coin but overall he is not within the law anymore. And you kinda get the revenge thing here as well. So i think aaron eckhart was great in the live action film but Richard Moll gave Two-face a real good feeling as well.
@Regenmacher175 I hear what your saying my friend and I want to make it clear that I loved Aaron Eckhart's Harvey Dent but as far as it goes he was never Two-Face...even in the credits he wasn't....I trully belive he had potential tho...he was killed off too quick. I'm more in favour or two face the single body built up with two minds, not a shell of a man or shadow of his former self kinda man.....Eckhard was great, just not my cup of tea in the two face department ;)
@Regenmacher175 id read long halloween again if i were you...towards the end.. the font of his voice changes from his good honorable persona to his dark sinister twisted persona its pretty obvious too...hard to miss....in the end i Definitely felt like he was two minds in one body..
@Regenmacher175 Gotta say that even having read Long Halloween, they changed the characters way to much, especially Harvey, Bats and especially the Joker. Probably the only one they got right was Gordon!
@JDreamProductions No question about it. That scream at the end of Two-Face Part 1 when Harvey saw his new appearance would win anyone over. Assuming the episode up to that point had somehow not done so already.
@JDreamProductions I think they all had good elements, but none just hit hte mark right. Batman Forever's Two-Face (tommy Lee Jones) was silly, true, but he had hte duality thing down. He constantly referred to himself as WE and US, and had rooms that were split in half to match his split mind.
Aaron Eckhart had the look, definitely. I mean, it was all CGI, but you could barely tell. HE LOOKED like Two-Face, but like you said, he just wasn't it.
This Two-Face had hte psycho down, but thats all.
@TheStealthX In a way they sort of hinted at a split personality on TDK. For one the name Harvey Two-face and when he kidnapped the guy Joker left wounded. Only thing is they never really went into it but not much can beat the last few minutes of the movie with him...chilling. Another good Two-face to me was in "the Long Halloween" graphic novel, chapter by chapter you saw him slowly lose it more and more. They should make an animated movie of that one!
@mdchoc13 Yeah, I suppose. But I do agree with you on teh whole 'Long Halloween' one. I adore that comic. It's so dark, and grim, yet still so enjoyable, you know? And yeah, Two-Face in it was good. They kept building him up, like that bit where he's sitting in the basement in his trousers with his coin, just talking to his wife and you can't see his face. That was such a great panel, even if he hasn't lost his face yet! Two-Face is awesome, no question
@TheStealthX Yes I adore as well. For a long time I had a problem with him becoming two-face from getting acid thrown on his face but when I read that novel and saw everything that lead up to it, it made me appreciate that version. I felt very bad for him at that scene! Well written story.
@mdchoc13 Yeah, that and the whole overlaying feeling that there's something just not right with Harvey Dent. Read his scenes in the GN again, whiel listening to this. You really get hte sense that he's trying to hide something...
@TheStealthX You know that's what I haven't done, read those scenes and listen to this music, I ought to try that. I think that's one reason why I like Two-Face so much cause the whole since of him hiding something as most people do and the fact his an exact flip of Bruce Wayne who's the same way. Really great character design and that to me is what makes Batman villains the most important cause as history channel put it they're all dark reflections of Batman himself !!
This is definitely the best theme of the show, and the best theme Two-Face has ever had. Proves just how much character and emotion you can show with just a few notes.
Can I do a request? Is there any possible way you could put the main opening theme for the Adventures of Batman & Robin on? Y'know the one that didn't sound like the Danny Elfman theme?
Hmm... I only know the opening theme which is just like Danny Elfman's, and the Batman theme that plays throughout the show that Shirley Walker composed...
Yeah, it was used as the opening titles theme from Season 2 of Batman TAS (or to give it it's full name 'The Adventures Of Batman & Robin) onwards. It's track 1 on disc 2 and it's the main title theme that was composed by Shirley Walker, not Dannay Elfman.
I think the worst animated series they ever came up with for Batman has to be that stupid Batman:The Brave and The Bold! They really butchered the characters in this one, IMOP any ways! The original BTAS from "92-95" will always be the best to me,although "Batman Beyond" was also pretty good. ^ ^
I respectfully disagree with your opinion on TBATB. True that the BTAS series is the best, but The Brave and The Bold is also good in its own way. It's just meant to be more light-hearted and comedic and less dark and edgy.
@Edghd666 Honestly, you should give Brave and the Bold a chance. It's based on the classic golden age comics, and it's very tongue-in-cheek. It's IN on it's own joke, and it's not trying to be serious. The writers of Batman the Animated Series all love i t. If you were to try one episode, try Chill of The Night. It guest stars the original Batman and Joker voices from BTAS.
@stitchgrl777 Yeah, I hated Brave and the Bold at first, thinking it to be an introductory show for children, much like Marvel Superhero Squad. Boy, was I wrong; it's one of the most wry cartoons ever inspired by a comic book.
@Edghd666 Well, it isn't supposed to be dark and serious like this show was. It's based off the silver age of comics, you know, where everything had dots on it for no discernible reason.
@Edghd666 B&TB started weakly, but if you kept watching, you'd see that they FAR from butchered them. In fact, the characters and stories are incredibly faithful to the comics, just comics that may--I'm guessing here--have been around before the comics you've read. If you want to talk "butchered," look at THE BATMAN. But keep watching B&TB and keep in mind comics from the Golden, Silver, and Bronze Ages before you write it off. It's one of the most faithful and awesome comic adaptations to date.
With films such as the dark knight, Joker was number 1 in my books then watching the animated series, its a cosmic clash between joker and two face, harvey dent is more trajic and his split personality is dark an psycotic!
dude, the dark knight movies of present time SUCK compared to the cartoon and even the original 2 batman movies. Yes, the effects were far more cheesey and not as great as today. but come on! they just over did everything about batman w/ christian bale as the actor. and they could've chosen a better joker, but then again only joker i can see is Jack Knicholson he's already one crazy ass mofo! and why they are re-making classics beats me. but w/e i'm just a "traditionalist" i guess.
I must agree with you about prefering the animated series to the films. I will respectfully disagree about nickolson tho, yes hes more of a charmy joker but it hamill always for me :)
every actor has added an element to the joker character
Mark Hamill is just hularious and his laugh is the one that sticks!
Jack Nicholson was a charmer and was urm... artsy, in my opinion
Heath Ledger was a joker you wouldnt want to cross, he was so dark and dangerous!
oh ofcourse Mark Hamill is always the voice of the Joker when ever i hear the name. no doubt about it. i grew up watching these shows. and its just sad to see how they've butchered the series. with this new "The Batman" crap that comes out on the CW. These toons were dark and violent. i loved them. but parents didn't and so they got the axe and now they produce mindless stupid cartoons.
Uhm, i dunno man, i just didn't like Ledgers performance. i think he tried to out do "The Joker"
kind of like Christain Bale over acting the batman roll. but that's just my opinion. and probably a bunch of other peoples opinion too. now if i could only find the OST for batman t.a.s. it would make my collection a lil more complete =)
Agreed, The only true Joker is t he Mark Hamill one from the Animated Series. He was crazy/dangerous AND funny. All the other Jokers only had one of the two.
Two Face is perhaps one of the most successfully created villains of all time. Certainly tops on my list (woe ye Joker fans at the sight of those faces).
Thank you, I'm glad you enjoy. I have clayface's theme, through several tracks (several versions of the theme, like I have several versions of 2 face's theme in this video), but the quality is bad... you hear a few weird ''teck'' sounds throughout the music sometimes. Would you still like me to make a clayface video?
The music from the series really was wonderful. It breaks my heart that Ms. Walker died so young, and never really got to score a lot of films. There's a bit of predjudice against female composers in Hollywood.
Could the company that released this soundtrack set PLEASE make it not a limited release? I mean, I didn't even hear about it until after it was sold out!
I consider the episode that introduced Two-Face one of the best in the series and his musical theme is one haunting wonderful and like most of the music in the series perfectly augments the character.

Talloweed 1 year ago
@Edghd666 Well, it isn't supposed to be dark and serious like this show was. It's based off the silver age of comics, you know, where everything had dots on it for no discernible reason.
NICKREAPER316 1 year ago

JDreamProductions 2 years ago
dude, the dark knight movies of present time SUCK compared to the cartoon and even the original 2 batman movies. Yes, the effects were far more cheesey and not as great as today. but come on! they just over did everything about batman w/ christian bale as the actor. and they could've chosen a better joker, but then again only joker i can see is Jack Knicholson he's already one crazy ass mofo! and why they are re-making classics beats me. but w/e i'm just a "traditionalist" i guess.
krazypyroboi05 2 years ago
I must agree with you about prefering the animated series to the films. I will respectfully disagree about nickolson tho, yes hes more of a charmy joker but it hamill always for me :)
every actor has added an element to the joker character
Mark Hamill is just hularious and his laugh is the one that sticks!
Jack Nicholson was a charmer and was urm... artsy, in my opinion
Heath Ledger was a joker you wouldnt want to cross, he was so dark and dangerous!
Kevin Michael Richardson was a tough one
JDreamProductions 2 years ago 4
oh ofcourse Mark Hamill is always the voice of the Joker when ever i hear the name. no doubt about it. i grew up watching these shows. and its just sad to see how they've butchered the series. with this new "The Batman" crap that comes out on the CW. These toons were dark and violent. i loved them. but parents didn't and so they got the axe and now they produce mindless stupid cartoons.
Uhm, i dunno man, i just didn't like Ledgers performance. i think he tried to out do "The Joker"
krazypyroboi05 2 years ago
kind of like Christain Bale over acting the batman roll. but that's just my opinion. and probably a bunch of other peoples opinion too. now if i could only find the OST for batman t.a.s. it would make my collection a lil more complete =)
krazypyroboi05 2 years ago
Agreed, The only true Joker is t he Mark Hamill one from the Animated Series. He was crazy/dangerous AND funny. All the other Jokers only had one of the two.

Two Face is perhaps one of the most successfully created villains of all time. Certainly tops on my list (woe ye Joker fans at the sight of those faces).

Two face on the show was so sad :( Great story though
saruman84 2 years ago 12
what is the official title of the song? is it two-face theme? or harvey's nightmare?
wesker789 2 years ago
I think it's just Two Face's theme. It's definitely the best villain theme in the whole show - it's so haunting and sad.
TheRealCodeBlack 2 years ago 3
does the riddler have his own theme?
jokesonyou8994 2 years ago
Riddler has a bunch of themes throughout the show. Not one consistent melody though.

Ok I'm posting here because the email link wouldn't work. But yes I think you should. He has a cool theme. Thank you again.

You are so awesome. Words can't express how cool you are for putting this up. Do you by chance have the clayface music. Thank you so much.
3jokerswild 2 years ago
Thank you, I'm glad you enjoy. I have clayface's theme, through several tracks (several versions of the theme, like I have several versions of 2 face's theme in this video), but the quality is bad... you hear a few weird ''teck'' sounds throughout the music sometimes. Would you still like me to make a clayface video?
Sener 2 years ago
i wish they wb had put batman track from the over the edge episode
UNDERTAKERTHEPHENOM 2 years ago
The music from the series really was wonderful. It breaks my heart that Ms. Walker died so young, and never really got to score a lot of films. There's a bit of predjudice against female composers in Hollywood.
Could the company that released this soundtrack set PLEASE make it not a limited release? I mean, I didn't even hear about it until after it was sold out!

yeah look at the list of awesome sound tracks she created , the final destination 1 2 3 batman justice league . R.I.P S.w

soooooo goood. i love how the begining melody/when ever two face appears. it is menacing but sad at the same time, just like two face.
boog123 2 years ago
I consider the episode that introduced Two-Face one of the best in the series and his musical theme is one haunting wonderful and like most of the music in the series perfectly augments the character.
rstrosah 2 years ago
Best two episodes in the entire series as far as I'm concerned. Thanks for posting.

My pleasure. It's certainly the best two-parter in the whole series! Extremely well written, well acted... and of course, awesome music!
