  • Is the picture moving? omg o-o

  • @AngelG12345123 Did you know that an Ellipsis is used to show that a phrase or clause was omitted from the sentence? Therefore you used that incorrectly. Also, nouns aren't always capitalized, only proper nouns... (That Ellipsis omitted "are capitalized") :D

  • @GuerreroF5 post-rock

  • @bamb04 thats the crab nebula.

  • @abstractreference No it's not it's the Crab Nebula... Nouns are capitalized. :D

  • @AngelG12345123 nouns aren't capitolized, pronouns are like building or D.W.P. Department of Water and Power....

  • @10max1100 Nouns are capitalized why do you think names are capitalized.. Names are nouns.

  • @AngelG12345123 nouns are a person place thing or idea, now tell me is a pencil a noun? yes its a thing is it capitalized? No, same with house dog cat person animal, unless, like I said before, D.W.P. Department of Water and Power that is the name of a building, therefor it's CAPITALIZED. Thanks how old are you 10?, Or are you just uneducated? If anything English is my favorite subject don't argue with me about that...

  • @10max1100 Hey you don't have to be so mean.... :D

  • @10max1100 *therefore

  • @10max1100 How do these exchanges even happen on here? But just to drop some knowledge... Nouns are capitAlized only if they are proper nouns ( A specific name or label). Pronouns are substitutions for nouns when the noun is understood. Hope this cleared everything up.

  • @camelface1 That is practically what I said, I just didn't mention the pronouns, but whats most important is this music lets stop arguing about Grammar and listen...

  • i love this music it gives me the want to thrive for somereason. what Genre is this

  • the title of the song is the only good part about this

  • this is life changing

  • i can see the picture pulsing and shaking. i'm not even high. this is what awesome music does to me.

  • @enjoiment22 I Could To (o.o)

  • Crab Nebula for the win. :)

    anyone else recognize immediately?

    anyone?.......

  • @ClumsyTheNinja probably everyone, im glad to see an educated youth

  • :') crab nebula

  • modern day variation of some pink floyd for sure....instrumental is theme music for life

  • katherine

  • If you stare at the Nebula for awhile, the stars look like they're moving around O_o haha

  • I believe that cloud nebula is 12 light years across. It takes light from the sun 8 minutes to hit Earth. Sort of cool on a macro-scale.

  • Each song by EITS is a million changed lives.

  • @L337MasterIan effin true

  • The picture is indeed an 'explosion in the sky' :)

  • crab nebula

  • I feel like this is the song that plays as you're born into the world, or leaving home for the first time as an adult.

  • @FullMetalSatomi

Or leaving home for the last time.

  • @daemonwulfe True.

  • Fragile life

  • nice song love the pic of the dead star looks kinda cool

  • it make u feel like flying in the cosmos or a eckankar spirit transcendental meditations a yoga breathing exersize for the new age

  • My favorite by EITS

  • i want the song title tattooed on me

  • this makes me wanna go outside in the middle of the night and sit underneath a secluded tree.

  • lol i almost typed in "Explosions in the sky lyrics" and half way through it i was like oh right; muted voice. hahahaha.

  • @SOTDBLOG David Gilmour's Floyd, of course. Roger Waters could only do depressing stuff. Explosions can do both happy and dark, as could Gilmour. I wouldn't call them the new Pink Floyd. They're one of money bands that have carried, are carrying, and will carry the same torch that Floyd carried. They turn rock music into a higher form of art, possibly one of the highest forms of musical artistry out there. Floyd strove for that. As do many other artists.

  • @thewriter1008 i honestly don't care much for pink floyd, only the other sife of the moon disc. i think that some of the stuff they do don't work for me

  • @MrMentllet Well, how about, every single album made before "The Dark Side Of The Moon"? I mean, did you hear Ummagumma or Atom Heart Mother, could you get any more complex than that? After 1979 no albums made by them really said Pink Floyd, but money making machines. :| sad how the 80's ruined a lot of the most promising prog bands.

  • @CBurton well, you are right, i actually never heard anything that came before the dark side of the moon, only the albums that ame after, maybe i should listen to the older stuff

  • I love this song. And the picture looks as if it's moving!

  • @Munkat69 And it's shape is shifting....the colors too! And what's that fluorescent pattern always changing?

    Oh...it kicked in now. :D

  • thanks very much for the upload

  • isnt that a picture of one of The Contortionist" albums?....looks like it

  • @afrokidguitarist First time I hear of that band. The picture is of a nebula-something, some kind of space phenomena. This was the first vid I made with movie maker (or with any program for that matter) which is why I used this low res pic, guess I was just too lazy to change it - the important thing was to get the music out.

  • @bamb04 oh ok cool

btw its not the same picture...looks really close though haha

you should look em up...they're heavy and have ambient parts like this song. but they have vocals but the instruments are amazing :)

  • @bamb04 It is called the "Crab nebula"

  • @bamb04 by the way, the same pic is the album cover of "Meek warrior" by akron/family

  • @bamb04 Its the crab nebula. The remnants of a star that blew up in 1054 AD.

  • @bamb04 Is the crabb nebula... in the taurus constelation...

  • @bamb04 its the Orion Nebula. Its like... trillions of miles out into space. Pretty close to home.

  • @bamb04 but it's a beautiful image, suits the music.

  • @bamb04 maybe this picture was taken by the hubble telescope ;)

  • @afrokidguitarist It's the Crab Nebula

  • @afrokidguitarist God i love their new record "exoplanet" Hands down one of the best metal records out there

  • @stoopadoopa they're really good ♥

  • @afrokidguitarist It is, It's the same picture TC used for the album apparition. Ironically, The Contorionist has an obvious post rock influence, in there more more Djent/deathcore sound.

  • @afrokidguitarist

    Crab Nebula

  • @afrokidguitarist Haha when I clicked on this video that's what I thought too. The album art for Apparition is almost identical to this.

  • @afrokidguitarist I had no clue other metalheads listened to this, that's so great <3

  • @StarFaukes haha the music is beautiful and so ambient its amazing. makes me think about how worthless we are in the universe. we are less than a grain of sand in this vast universe. its scary to me haha

  • @afrokidguitarist WE are more like a germ, maybe even smaller... Wow... that makes germs, not even .000000000000000000000000000000000000001 ... hm Who knows. But yeah, It's wierd to think about this, and this band.. GAWD! I love it xD

  • @afrokidguitarist its the crab nebula

  • Explosions In The Sky and Sigur Ros - instaboner

  • I always skip to about 4:00. Seriously the best thing Ive ever heard.

  • they did the music for friday night lights.

  • This proves that life is just one long instrumental song.

  • 6:23 Rocked my socks, as did this entire song.

  • Great song

I would say that I'd like to fall asleep to this, Gonna buy it on itunes today or on limewire =)

  • @ TommyGun7111, dude don't limewire it. This band is too good to download. I own all of their CD's and didn't download one! I bought them to support the group and their amazing music. I mean, by all means go do it if you want, but do you want to support or get it for free, lol? I understand yeah it's free, but it's like $10, lo.

  • hmmm well that's true

    Thanks Scraper :)

  • If you're intrested in other, similar - some more, some less-, bands, check out: A Silver Mt. Zion, God Speed You!Black Emperor, Ulver, Sleepmakeswaves, Russian Circles, Red Sparrowes, Maserati, Mutyumu, Maybeshewill, From Monument to Masses, Do Make Say Think, Caspian, Phideaux. There are many others also but these are among the finest out there, even though some are a bit different from your usual post-rock bands and don't necessarily qualify as such. Nontheless, they're worth a listen.

  • Hammock is probably my favorite, these guys come in second to me. Thanks for the upload

  • How is Ulver similar to this? They're Black Metal.

  • "Ulver is obviously not a black metal band and does not wish to be stigmatized as such. We acknowledge the relation of part I & III of the Trilogie to this culture, but stress that these endeavours were written as stepping stones rather than conclusions. If this discourages you in any way, please have the courtesy to refrain from voicing superficial remarks regarding our music and/or personae."

Well, to be quite honest, I just thought I'd throw them out there anyway.

  • They're not orthrodox in anyway (especially albums like Shadows of the Sun which completely stray from the genre) although their major works such as the ones mentioned or Blood Inside do maintain the BM aesthetics. That's just a pointer, I didn't really aim to get into a discussion about that, just thought it's kind of strange to mention it amongst all those post-rock bands haha. Keep it real.

  • @bamb04 Thanks for the tip! It's always nice to listen to new music and bands I didn't know yet.

  • @deesontheroad Just google thesirenssound and you'll be busy for years! And you're much welcome! :)

  • @bamb04 O help, now I definetely get nothing done today. Or tomorrow, or the day after tomorrow! You opened up an whole new world for me. Thanks so much! :)

  • this song makes me think about how futile life is on a cosmic scale but how beautiful it is to be alive nonetheless.

  • @smellyniggy

    Wtf? Are you stoned?

  • @RedHotFooFecker nope. i just listen really intently

  • @smellyniggy this doesn't mean anything

  • @snipersas How not?

  • @smellyniggy its just so melodramatic and over the top and insincere. if you were really sincerely pondering the meaninglessness of existence, and the beauty of absurdity, would you really be expressing that via such a vapid youtube comment? it just comes off as slimy to me. i didnt mean to jump down your throat though, sorry.

  • @snipersas I can see how you think that but just because it's a youtube comment doesn't mean it has to be insincere. I posted that comment so that other people could read it and possibly think the same thing, not just so i could seem deep and philosophical. The first time I heard this song I was out in a field stargazing and received a call that was very emotional. That's where I got that comment came from. Not trying to be an asshole, just explaining what I said.

  • @smellyniggy in my mind such a personal and cerebral moment would be made less so by saying it in such a reductionist way, and on a medium as this inexpressive and dumb

  • @snipersas Like I said, I just wanted to share the feeling with others. I've expressed this in more ways than just a shitty youtube comment.

  • @smellyniggy oh well that explains it. and i liked that comment, made me ponder that which you were talking about afterward

  • @smellyniggy not sure how you got that but nonetheless that was deep man:)

  • i reeeally like this song

  • The nicest song in the world

  • this is my favourite song in the world... shame that youtube limits the length of the video u can upload tho isnt it.. but thanks for posting, im delighted that people who dont have the album have a chance to listen to this masterpiece

  • there's liek hour long videos on

  • I have no idea what you just said.

  • He said your video is rad. It's common spanish, not polite like the one you find in Google.

    Cheers

  • not common, slang only use in spain

  • he said this is great.

  • He said:

This is the fucking cock cousin

  • spanish (from spain not latin america) slang...which means, not literally but in slangish terms: this is the shit man or fucking awesome bro etc...
