@AngelG12345123 Did you know that an Ellipsis is used to show that a phrase or clause was omitted from the sentence? Therefore you used that incorrectly. Also, nouns aren't always capitalized, only proper nouns... (That Ellipsis omitted "are capitalized") :D
@AngelG12345123 nouns are a person place thing or idea, now tell me is a pencil a noun? yes its a thing is it capitalized? No, same with house dog cat person animal, unless, like I said before, D.W.P. Department of Water and Power that is the name of a building, therefor it's CAPITALIZED. Thanks how old are you 10?, Or are you just uneducated? If anything English is my favorite subject don't argue with me about that...
@10max1100 How do these exchanges even happen on here? But just to drop some knowledge... Nouns are capitAlized only if they are proper nouns ( A specific name or label). Pronouns are substitutions for nouns when the noun is understood. Hope this cleared everything up.
@camelface1 That is practically what I said, I just didn't mention the pronouns, but whats most important is this music lets stop arguing about Grammar and listen...
@SOTDBLOG David Gilmour's Floyd, of course. Roger Waters could only do depressing stuff. Explosions can do both happy and dark, as could Gilmour. I wouldn't call them the new Pink Floyd. They're one of money bands that have carried, are carrying, and will carry the same torch that Floyd carried. They turn rock music into a higher form of art, possibly one of the highest forms of musical artistry out there. Floyd strove for that. As do many other artists.
@thewriter1008 i honestly don't care much for pink floyd, only the other sife of the moon disc. i think that some of the stuff they do don't work for me
@MrMentllet Well, how about, every single album made before "The Dark Side Of The Moon"? I mean, did you hear Ummagumma or Atom Heart Mother, could you get any more complex than that? After 1979 no albums made by them really said Pink Floyd, but money making machines. :| sad how the 80's ruined a lot of the most promising prog bands.
@CBurton well, you are right, i actually never heard anything that came before the dark side of the moon, only the albums that ame after, maybe i should listen to the older stuff
@afrokidguitarist First time I hear of that band. The picture is of a nebula-something, some kind of space phenomena. This was the first vid I made with movie maker (or with any program for that matter) which is why I used this low res pic, guess I was just too lazy to change it - the important thing was to get the music out.
@afrokidguitarist It is, It's the same picture TC used for the album apparition. Ironically, The Contorionist has an obvious post rock influence, in there more more Djent/deathcore sound.
@StarFaukes haha the music is beautiful and so ambient its amazing. makes me think about how worthless we are in the universe. we are less than a grain of sand in this vast universe. its scary to me haha
@afrokidguitarist WE are more like a germ, maybe even smaller... Wow... that makes germs, not even .000000000000000000000000000000000000001 ... hm Who knows. But yeah, It's wierd to think about this, and this band.. GAWD! I love it xD
@ TommyGun7111, dude don't limewire it. This band is too good to download. I own all of their CD's and didn't download one! I bought them to support the group and their amazing music. I mean, by all means go do it if you want, but do you want to support or get it for free, lol? I understand yeah it's free, but it's like $10, lo.
If you're intrested in other, similar - some more, some less-, bands, check out: A Silver Mt. Zion, God Speed You!Black Emperor, Ulver, Sleepmakeswaves, Russian Circles, Red Sparrowes, Maserati, Mutyumu, Maybeshewill, From Monument to Masses, Do Make Say Think, Caspian, Phideaux. There are many others also but these are among the finest out there, even though some are a bit different from your usual post-rock bands and don't necessarily qualify as such. Nontheless, they're worth a listen.
"Ulver is obviously not a black metal band and does not wish to be stigmatized as such. We acknowledge the relation of part I & III of the Trilogie to this culture, but stress that these endeavours were written as stepping stones rather than conclusions. If this discourages you in any way, please have the courtesy to refrain from voicing superficial remarks regarding our music and/or personae."
Well, to be quite honest, I just thought I'd throw them out there anyway.
They're not orthrodox in anyway (especially albums like Shadows of the Sun which completely stray from the genre) although their major works such as the ones mentioned or Blood Inside do maintain the BM aesthetics. That's just a pointer, I didn't really aim to get into a discussion about that, just thought it's kind of strange to mention it amongst all those post-rock bands haha. Keep it real.
@bamb04 O help, now I definetely get nothing done today. Or tomorrow, or the day after tomorrow! You opened up an whole new world for me. Thanks so much! :)
@smellyniggy its just so melodramatic and over the top and insincere. if you were really sincerely pondering the meaninglessness of existence, and the beauty of absurdity, would you really be expressing that via such a vapid youtube comment? it just comes off as slimy to me. i didnt mean to jump down your throat though, sorry.
@snipersas I can see how you think that but just because it's a youtube comment doesn't mean it has to be insincere. I posted that comment so that other people could read it and possibly think the same thing, not just so i could seem deep and philosophical.
