Im really interested in a cooling stand for my asus g73. im debating between the u3 and the ergostand. Which one do you consider to give out a better result? Thanks
linkku: i m using my laptop always in my table ,this cooler suitable for my lap 15.6 inche ??? it reduces overheating issues n mainely gaming purpose . i m buying mainely gaming purpose
I've had mines for 2 months now running none stop. I run my Hp dv7-6134 laptop 24/7. This is one of if not the best cooling pad out there. I got mines off Amazon.com for around $27, free shipping delivery. The fans are not super powerful, but they keep the laptop cool. Because you can control the speed of the fans, I generally keep the fans on low except when I am gaming and watching youtube. The fans are not loud, and very easy to attach.
hello, on amazon many many pepole say that fans got broken after 3 weeks of use. And many of them say that usb connector fell apart and usb wires that go to fans were broken after 3 weeks of use. can you please say few words about your experience, cause many people also said that it is ok and many people were mentioning problems with wires fans not working after few weeks very loud noise from fans after few weeks, maybe coolermaster improved next series, maybe just first series were bad.?
The U3 cooler would definitely work out for you. I have an hp dv7-6143 which is 17.3" and I still got room to spare. So your 18.4" should fit perfect.
hey mate, i'm between this and ergostand... have you try ergostand before? which one's better ? better fan speed equals better cooling ? i think i'll get u3 tho
@McSandkasten no it cant its designed for laptops only if you want one i suggest you check ebay they have specific cooling systems for both ps3 and xbox
I have a 17.3" dell studio and I've noticed from the video that the fans can't be mounted in the front part of the mash beacuse of the coolers angle... there is where my notebook actually gets really hot when in full use because I supose there is my HDD and the GPU ... could you please help me out by testing how far can the fans be placed in the front ? ... thank you
@Dumbi18 If you stop the video at 1:07 you can see how low or high you can mount the fans. Every hole is a mounting hole and fans wont touch the table.
@Linkku82 I intend to buy one and change two of the fans with two 12cm Enermax Magma fans if I can manage somehow to get 12V to them instead of the 5V from the USB, still keeping the RPM control somehow .... I find that making your own is more fun, and so I had a lot of ideas but this looks the most simple way, if of course I don't come across something more efficient or practical :D ... thank you again
@lolz12335 NotePal has rubber feet's for notebook that stops the notebook to sliding of the chassis. You might have to DIY some rubber feet's for the chassis so your Macbook wont slide of.

@sulthanajith It will reduce your laptop load temps. So it helps maintain better airflow to the laptop.

sulthanajith 1 week ago
@sulthanajith Notepal is intended for table use only. I would say that it would be really uncomfortable and impractical in your lap.

So does it run cooler / better?
TheChineseEmpire 3 weeks ago
@TheChineseEmpire Cooler yes.
Linkku82 1 week ago
With 3 small fans, would that make it on the louder side of laptop cooling pads?
gwath42 4 weeks ago
@gwath42 No the fans are very quit.
Linkku82 1 week ago
My laptop is exactly 400mm wide from edge to edge and is called 17.3"
the specification on this product says 420 X 320 x 65 mm,
so i dont trust it supporting up to 18.4" or 19"

Is this too big for a 14 inch?
TheWarmplate 2 months ago
@TheWarmplate No I dont think so.
Linkku82 2 months ago
@TheWarmplate
Yes IMO. I bought this cooler for my 15,6" laptop and its waay too big. 17" or bigger laptop is recommended.
Atomcitypasi 1 month ago
@TheWarmplate
The U3 would probably be big for a 14" laptop, but they have the U2 cooling pad. It's for 15" and under and it comes with 2 fans instead of 3.

How much power is it drawing out on that USB connection ? wouldn't that make it run hotter?
stalker097218 3 months ago
@stalker097218 Power drawn 5V DC like any other USB devices. No it would not make it run hotter.

@naochiMalmsteen On this model it is good that you can actually define the fan places.
Linkku82 5 months ago
@naochiMalmsteen Same here, but i'm thinking about buying it as a geek gift. Dunno which to choose X2, Ergostand or U3...
Is U3 comfortable for using on lap/laying?

Hey,
i have 15,6 inch laptop,
but according to the dimensions of the notepal U2, that one is too small, so will this U3 be way to big for my 15,6 inch laptop?

@Darkreval I also tested U3 with 15,6 inch laptop. The U3 works with 15,6 and 17,3 ich laptops.
