The diff. between violin and other musical instruments is violin has high pitch.

That makes violin can "express" sadness way better than piano or guitar, and for me violin sounds "glorious" too. So, I think violin is best for playing clssical songs (e.g claire de Lune debussy, mozart violin concerto,etc)

Violin doesnt sound good for pop songs. Piano/guitar sounds better.

So for me, its a pity for you a young violinist only do cover for pop songs that dont match with violin.
