If Rose or Tyson would look at this interview now they should be ashamed, especially Tyson who is an economist and has held very important posts in the recent past. Rose on the other hand is being sarcastic to Goldsmith's views, even though he doesn't understand essentially anything. Looking at these people now makes you understand how we came to this point today, when our societies have been led by these people and not by people like Goldsmith.

Speaking from the grave, Sir Goldsmith has delivered his most valued wisdom to me. I have understood for years the mess that we're in, thanks to him I am starting to fully understand how we got here.

Goldsmith was a legend. I've got 2 books about him. He led a fascinating life. He was friends with David Stirling who founded the SAS. He built an amazing mansion and got ex-SAS to guard the place! You wouldn't want to try to burgle his house!

The beauty of youtube is that we can hear these interesting ideas at all even though we might have missed them in their own time. Good ideas last and those that Goldsmith presents here remain worthy of debate and consideration especially now. By hearing his ideas it helps us to see the bigger picture and listen more carefully to the ideas of those who want our votes to lead any country.

What an impressive man sir James goldsmith is...why haven't I heard of this man until today? These points he was raising back then should have been the topic of conversations among regular american citizens... I feel ashamed to be so ignorant all these years.
