  • @Gunnycole rlly he's only six and ur only in grade four dnt hate on him!!!! Come on! He probably plays it better than u and he learned BY HIMSELF!!!!!!

  • I'm learning this peice at the moment, I'm 14 years old and at grade four and one of my teachers top students, Some mistakes, Needs more control over his dynamics and his staccato in some places needs some work. Other than that it's pretty good.

  • that was shit

  • he is amazing

  • Arthur did very nice on this song!

  • im twelve and now i m learning tis song

    but tis boy is talented

  • @zodiac220 haha im 13 and tryin to learn this song lol

  • @ckrazy74 i finished this song arld

moving to sonata k545 2nd movement

  • @zodiac220 oh thats kool haha i can play it now too but im tryin to get ma piano teacher to stop giving me classical music haha

  • @ckrazy74 lols same here. my violin teacher told me about this song :D

  • @Kimmy22227 aha kool u play violin i do too but like not now ma finger is broken haha im glad ur playin or learnin this song :)

  • What a sweet little boy. There is poetry in the way he faces the music, and elegance in the way he plays. With time he will be very good indeed! How long ago was this video made?

  • @zimnaya Thank you for such sweet words, zimnaya! The video was taped 2.5 year ago before his 7th birthday. During that period he was out of instruction and just grab what ever he has to play, this is one of those pieces. It looks like he really enjoys piano and is trying to be better and better. Thanks again and have a good weekend!

  • awesome! check out mine too :)

  • Hi! Good job in everything. But I am hearing that you are taking your left hand off a little bit too early at 0:26

  • Im working on this piece right now and im having a hard time with it.

    Nice job!

  • @BubblePop2001 same haha this song is really hard

  • I'm learning the same piece, I'm ten, soon eleven, and in grade four piano.

It's amazing, how a six year old can play like this! ♥

  • try not to slow down at some spots :) keek the tempo...if u listen u can tell the middle/end section is MUCH slower than the biginning :) use a metronome :D

  • Wonderful Job!! I'm playing it right now but you are probbably way better than me!!!!

  • You learned this yourself? Bravo! just watch out for your pulse and trill, and you'll be fabulous!

  • Yes, he was totally on himself from the first round sight reading till this this video taped ... good he did not know the grade level of this one, otherwise he might have been scared off LOL. Thanks for taking time to listen to him and commenting! Hope you find his later videos better.

  • Arthur- I too LOVE Clementi. I just played this not even 30 minutes ago. I struggle sometimes with measures 42-45 but you really kick it out!! Bravo! Thank you for sharing. Enjoy your musical journey.

  • Thank you! Although there is quite a few mistakes due to lack of instructions, Arthur was very happy that he made it this far before his B-Day. Have fun making music!

  • omg im in 7th grade and i can only play to the 1st page because i don't have patience... Dx

  • i don't have his patience and focus. nice job

  • @Pianospelerke

not really im in gr.7 piano now and it only tuk me 5-6 years..since the years almost done

u can finish a grade in about 8 months depending on how fast of a learner u are :D im hoping to get this song done in 8 months so i can do my exam next august but this piece is like 3 pages so im worried

  • This is great! I'm currently learning how to play this song, and I can't play it as quickly, (although I'm 13!) One of the parts with a trill/grace note, or whatever you call it, keeps on messing me up... :D Once again, very well done!

  • That's great. I learned it when I was 7. He played nicely, especially since he's only 6 and he taught himself. It's beautiful, but it should be faster and there are many trills that he missed. However, he did well for one so young that taught himself. Bravo!

  • the part where he plays the same 2 notes, thats a trill, and hes supposed to be playing it very fast, but that still is good

  • The little fellow certainly seems to enjoy his music, and that's great. A prodigy he is not, and far from it. I hope he is not treated as one by his parents, because he will probably never become a professional classical pianist. He needs basic technical instruction to even out those scales, and steady his rhythm. His musical taste and interpretation are nicely felt, but childish, unlike a prodigy. Let him continue to play and enjoy his music, but keep it in perspective.

  • This is rcm 7. I used to play it. he plays too slow. but good. :D

  • HES A ROBOT O.O!

    JK HES A PRODIGY = ]

  • That is a grade 7 piece in the Celebration Series PERSPECTIVES. I played that piece at age eight and continued on to complete the repertoire by age 12. I have the grade 7 book with me now, following along with him looking at the piece. Grade 7.

  • cool man

  • so this is a level 5 song?! hes amazing!

  • this is grade 7!! hes AMAZING... KEEP IT UP!

  • RCM grade 5...at age 6?! That's pretty darn impressive. Is he going on to ARCT soon? Wow.

  • Ahahah, I am also learning this song and in level 5. But the difference between me & this kid is that I'm 13. Arthur, I am truly AMAZED by this performance. :] Wow, you played so much better than I do. Keep it up!

  • This is amazing!

what level was he when he played this song?

  • He was preparing RCM grade 5 at that time. This one was of his choice to learn for fun. He had no idea what level this piece is. Just loved it when he heard his sister practiced it sometime before. Thanks!

  • hi, nice playing! where did u get the scores?

  • Sure you played it in the Bach Contest wildgirl....

  • I love how at 1:32 he starts bouncing but that's so cute! An amazing young prodigy! I'm 15 and I just got this song down

  • i don't lik piano but u make it sound more interesting. oh i played dat song in the bach contest

  • how can you play that piece in a bach contest if its by clementi?

  • There are two sections in teh bach contest.

    Bach compettion

    sonatina competition

my clementi thing wuz a sonatina. yep

  • @fruitykiwixx Still a Baroque piece, I'm guessing, maybe I'm wrong.

  • ritm ritm ritm......

  • Arthur is progressing very well [:

I just think that he has to use the trill suited for the classical style (start with the note above the note, then trill down to the note and up to the one above), work on the technique and tempo, and he is well on his way. [:

  • My friend is playing this song for the recital and she thinks you played pretty well. :)

  • Jeez.....i love it and yet....its not my type of music...strange

  • some parts he slowed down..

  • He is after all only 6

  • The trill is annoying, but as you said the thing already I don't think there is the need to repeat it.

Have you got a teacher now?

  • Are you asking me, cowgoesmoo2, or the player? lol

  • lol ... I should named who I am asking. Anyways it would be a bit more clear if you read the comments, I am asking the player.

  • good lord. it took me 6 months to learn this.... when i was 13

    Needs some more trill practice.

    Other than that, it's fine.

It's really good and he's 6 years old, my godness.

  • the tempo is not ordinary.

    but the rest is fine.

  • That was great!!! Esp. for so young! I would say to work on keeping the tempo steady though.

  • you're better than me and I've been playing for 9 years!!! I can't read music very well.

  • Awesome playing. Your taking it nice and slow, which many people don't have the patience to do. Tempo control is skill, not how fast you can play it.

  • thanks for leaving this comment, HolsetyrA. It's a nice one!

  • Needs some more trill practice.

    Other than that, it's fine.

  • AMAZING!!!! =]

It's just the camera and the lighting.

  • Amazing! I myself have been attempting to learn Sonatina No. 1 in C Major, and to my embarassment, have had quite a bit of trouble (it's really easy)!

Well, it's good to see more people are taking an interest in piano!

  • WOAH!!!! that was played very well. bravo. ^_^

  • thanks for the comment! if you keep practice for a well, you will do better than me

  • This was the last song I played before I quit th e piano years ago.

  • wow.

    nice job arthur!

really nice finger work and very talented child.

  • Very good! That was excellent!

  • Wow, I wish I started playing the piano at 6. Good for you, kiddo! ^^ I just learned that song at the age of 18! One thing you should definitely keep in mind is to COUNT! Lol My teacher would constantly remind to COUNT! There were some parts of the pieces where you slowed down because you weren't counting. Counting is so important and will keep the music at a steady pace (when it should). Of course, some music speeds up and slows down, but from playing that piece myself, you have to COUNT a LOT!

  • very very good and talented! His fingers work is fast and smooth!

  • Thanks Ussuratonkachi for your comment! I hope that you enjoy watching our videos!

  • He is really good for only being 6 years old! How long has he taken lessons? One of my personal favorites is Sonitina Op. 36 No. 6 by Clementi.

  • Thank you Gymnasttory for commenting on this video! Arthur learned this piece on himself for his 7th Birthday. At the time this video was filmed, he had being learning piano for a year and two months. This is also his favorite sonatina. Thank you for forgiving the problems and giving the encouragement!

  • At 6 years old this is fantastic!!

  • Thanks Enzo!

  • i guess the right one is just "slightly" lower..

  • very good, but work on the trills

  • ahhh! this is my song too! lol. xDD

  • Great job Arthur! The way you play it is really exciting and fun :)

  • Thank you Maya!

  • He plays quite "smashingly" and yet the volume of the piano is just perfect. Very good.

  • wow, that's amazing! very good and varied dynamics! Clementi can sound so dull, if played mechanically - but you play it really musical and interesting - bravo!

  • Thank you kpunkt for your comment. I enjoy playing this piece and am happy that you like it! -- Arthur

  • somethings not right in the timing, but BRAVO!

  • nice, but you played your trills backwards.

  • Very nice!

  • excelente

  • It sounds good to me, but you should work on it till you feel its good enough. you know better than us.
