@pemzlsew I do not accept any of your given premises. I would say it develops at never. The fact is, relationships are always difficult and you are always growing and learning with each one. The brain doesn't finish developing until 25, not 20. So, you might have a maturity argument with that, however, I don't think that therefore means people under 25 shouldnt have relationships. I think media and bad parenting are the two major factors that lead to poor sexual choices.

Let me tell you what happened when I thought I can protect my soul from harm with willpower. The brain doesn't finish developing until 25, not 20. So, you might have a maturity argument with that, however, I don't think that therefore means people under 25 shouldnt have relationships. I think media and bad parenting are the two major factors that lead to poor sexual choices.

@pemzlsew on a final note im not sure i agree with your AIDS theory bt i do agree the psychosocial effects of watching porn are important: just look at the extremes of porn available..animal children disgusting utter embarrassment to human sexuality! they do shape human thinking and that is certain, just look at the research of violence in the media (several papers contact me if interested) depending on how much you watch and who you are, these effects may be greater or lesser.

@pemzlsew in my opinion the worst affected are: adolescent males (not yet mature enough to appreciate that human bodies come in all ifferent shapes sizes n wobbly bits n therefore spend their lives looking for the 'perfect body' or feel they are 'settling for less') and females (poor self esteem worsened by plastic fake bodies and animal-like shrieking signalling orgasm) middle aged men (illuded by mid life crisis and boredom with their aging 'saggy' partners and mothers to their children)

BTW I thinked it over and it makes sense. Most people who are officially Christian (so they state that they are, in surveys) do not really care about religion. Only a small percent of baptised people actually lives according to Christian teaching, but all the others still consider themselves Christian. On the other hand AFAIK Muslims, Buddhists etc. do not include so much pseudo-religious people. So the people who divorce are officially, but not actually Christian.

It does show that christians are prone to put great effort into spin (and propaganda) though. ;-)
It just doesn't explain why divorce is lower amongst atheists or why the highest rate is in the most religious regions in the US.
