  • That is amazing! I thought you were faking at first....unreal!....there was a bird locally who would mimic a car alarm..that was a starling, too.

They descend in flocks, like crazy hoodlums in the gardens, bullying and chaffing one another....and fly in amazing formations at dusk.[U.K]

  • so cute :) i rescued a baby starling a week ago hes coming along fast lol

  • Some people special breed starlings to get certain colors, like silver. If you want a hand raised starling you can look for a breeder also instead of just picking them out of the nest.

I have a friend who had a house sparrow he picked out of a nest though. She couldn't talk or sing and she was mean but she was cute. He raised her up and then let her go outside the house. She'd come back in whenever she liked.

  • it sounds like zapdos using thunderbolt

  • Cool!

  • Hi please tell me how do you find this bird...please please i want to get one...

  • @papia18 Leave your garage door open. I'm always chasing them out.

  • @papia18 If you live in the US it is legal to have them. Talk to an exterminator, they are often called to remove nests from siding and soffits and just kill the babies. Ask a vet or a wild bird rehabber to show you how to feed it (it's easy). Feed it on dry dog food soaked until it is soft. When it begins to feed itself, offer it veggies or scrambled egg as well.

  • If you had long hair, you would look like Puyol!

  • How nice that the battery never ends and you will not be required to attend! I really loved this very cute bird!! :-))

  • ANSWER THE PHONE~~~!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This is Awesome how FUN! I Love the awareness on this species! 0=)

  • We used to have pet starlings, but they didn't do that! They would sit on your arm, though.

We also had a robin that chased my Grandma around!

  • sorry to hear he passed on.. fond memories remain, very neat little one.

  • Cool! Sounds more like dial up though

  • So sorry your starling passed away. He must've been a delight. Wonderful bird!

  • You look like a "bad guy" from some movie.

  • How did the bird die? : (

  • Sad that your bird passed away... Any chance you want another one? I have four...

  • what does he eat??

  • I'd say Nokias.

  • lol truee

  • LMAOO he has TALENT, he would ssooooo fool me lol id be looking for the fone

  • Pick up the bird, it's ringing

  • roflmao nice comment

  • my aunts cockatiel used to do this and wouldnt stop until someone said hello =D

  • I have starlings like that in the tree in my backyard. They make their nests by my bedroom window.

  • So cute!!!

  • Lol, it looks like he/she got right up to your ear just to annoy you xD how cute.

  • That is really neat, did you raise it from a baby chick? I love starlings, but where I live the farmers consider them a "pest" bird because they eat alot of wheat at the weigh stations. The colors in the sunlight are so beautiful.

  • If only the farmers learned to live WITH them instead of just "stealing" their territory. It's their territory too, even more.

  • Agreed. I have a pair of starlings that nest in a hole in a nearby garage, I love to watch them hunt around for bug..I really enjoy listening to the male make his calls, he includes calls from all sorts of birds! It's really neat!

  • How would a bird with a beak like that de-husk a seed? I think something else must be eating the wheat.

  • Starlings eat lots of things, including sinew of dead carcasses, bits of meat given to them... lots of stuff. They're tough birds.

  • pick it uuuuppp!!!!

  • XD Dude, thats awesome.

And i like how you look. I'm serious. you have a really deep and soulful look-you seem like an interesting guy!! :D

You aren't like all of the other "cookie cutter" girls and guys that we find "hot" and "cute". You're gorgeous and SOULFUL!!!!

    XD

I hope i'm not insulting you when i say that. D:

I mean, i always try to compliment someone, and they end up getting offended. DX>

  • dude you are HOT

  • how often do u pick up the phone when it isnt calling?

  • LOL... there must be 2 phones in the house which don't ring at the same time

  • yeh isnt that funny. :D

  • Whoa what a talent! Must get tiresome after a while? My cockatoo starting saying "HELLO" as soon as the ringing started. hahaha

  • haha, I bet you have 2 phones, one is in another room

  • you should see mynah birds doing this

  • It is so adorable how the starling is running all over his arms singing like a phone and the guy is all straight faced with this cute thing on his shoulder. It's great!! thanks.

  • What a gorgeous Starling! That's a funny sound. I think all starlings have one sound they like to do over and over and over. Like my starlings "ugly sound" which they all learned and repeat 650,000 times a day hahaha. I'll try to put a video up, but no one let your starling hear it! ;)

  • OMG, that is sooooo cute and funny!

  • i couldn't hear him say hello! im soooo sorry for your loss. =-(

  • Haha, you don't look to happy :P

    "OUAW OUAW"

  • that is sooo precious!

  • lol It cracks me up how you're holding still looking dead serious the entire time while your bird rings like a telephone and answers it himself.

  • I love starlings, but here in Norway we dont keep them as house pets. Instead we leave them alone and let them breed in the free;-) They are endangered in many countries so I do my share by building bird houses for them.

PS. You look like Michael Wincott! And thats a GOOD thing:D

  • Here in the U.S., starling are everywhere. They are an invasive species hich makes it legal to keep them as pets. Unfortunately, all I have now are the videos becuse the Bird in this video passed-away in November 2008.

  • awe!!! :( So sorry to hear he died! In your video, he still has his yellow beak, so he's young...what happened to him? Mine's 3 yrs old now.

  • you put that the this bird passed away in november 2008? it's only june 2008. did you mean november 2007? sorry he passed away.

  • You mean 2007, right?

  • @LisTheVideoMaker They're certainly not endangered here in Seattle, they're a pest now.

  • @LisTheVideoMaker yea, you can have the american starlings, they kill and endanger the native species.

  • @LisTheVideoMaker is this bird reproduce in home? with a female or male? if you can, you save its breed isnt it ?

  • @LisTheVideoMaker Starlings are not endangered species!!! Maybe not common in Scandinavia but not endangered! There are millions of those birds in the medditeranean countries during winter!

  • @CavemanGR There numbers started to dramaticly reduce in some regions of europe, they been even added to red list in UK together with House Sparrow, ironicly 2 birds that get most hate in NA. Yes they not endangered globally... yet, but situation where there more of them on where they not suppose where they slowly dissapper is odd and not good situation for that bird

  • @CavemanGR they are endangered in the uk .... the numbers have droped drastically since the bloody paraqueets numbers increased in the wild.

  • You are so lucky to have a starling. They are so comical, big personalities! I had a fledling for 2 weeks, it was doing really well, but I have 2 cats so had to give it to a rescue.

Great birds! Love watching them play and chatter in big groups.

  • I bet he poops everywhere

  • We have a lot of them here in the wild in england, but never as pets. They are very sociable birds... and very seldom seen alone. Normally they come in 10s!! But I know they can join other groups and be even more happy!

  • I have quite a few videos of my starlings and other birds here as well if you would like to see them.

  • Your starling is gorgeous, especially the yellow beak. I myself have 4 of them. Check out StarlingTalk . net and you'll meet a whole bunch of us starling nuts. :)

  • Тук, тук. Кто там? Это я пачтальон Печкин, принёс заметку про вашего мальчика.)))))

  • respond in eglish or spanish please

  • The first part means KNOCK, KNOCK, WHO'S THERE? It's very close to Polish and I'm Polish and took a year of Russian in high school.

  • @huffington99 It sounds not that funny in english as it sounds in russian =)), so sorry dude, this joke only russians could understand))

  • @SiniyCHEL Брутальный мужик и милая птичка :)

  • Haha, do they ever trick you into thinking it is your actual phone? Cute.

  • Definitely - that's how the bird also learned to say "Hello". Sometimes when Ghetto makes the door squeaking noise we answer the door too. That's how he learned to say "Who is it?"

  • Clever little bird!
