Wow! The beginning of the game is a lot more intense than when I played in 2004!

I might have to return to SWG through the SWGEmu server. It just won't be the same as 8 years ago, but maybe it would be close enough. :)

that sucks about it closing down. To me, TOR isnt really SW, everybody knows SW as the galactic civil war era, its why we love SW. to me the galacitc civil war is the best era.

A great LP! I wish I had the time to actually have played more of this great game before my trial ran out. I have been looking into playing the emu version after my little adventure in the game. Thanks for doing this, so that I will have a chance to check out more of the game and thanks for everything else.

No! Not SuperMohawkDude! So many great memories like where I had no idea what an MMO was so I killed creatures and blew up many people in the Mohawk Fighter to get cash so I could decorate the USS SuperMohawk!

How dare they destroy the 2 weeks worth of work I've put into that game on SuperVaderMan's account! Also did Galaxies or you decide to kill Incredi-boy? I believe that was my Pre-NGE character on ur account when Jedi's were awesome, but I was a NOOB! haha

when you say its shutting down, do you mean you can't play the game, or you just can't play with other people?

@TheCap319 You won't be able to play the game anymore. The game in its entirety is going away forever, come December 15th.

Also, if you plan on getting in before this old beast goes, you better not wait too long. If I remember correctly, the game will no longer be accepting subscriptions September 15th, and only people with a subscription before then will be able to play up to the official shutting down date.

@SuperVaderMan SWG will be around long after SOE shuts down its servers. There are already 2 major developer groups working on emulators and will be done in just a few months. The space aspect of the game and two planets are missing but its already being worked on. There is also a new planet and there will be frequent updates of new items. You can already play for free on their test servers. Once it goes live, we will all be able to play for free. Then there is talk of porting to smart phones.

My brother and I used to play SWG, but quit soon after Jump To Lightspeed; the sudden focus on space combat killed the game for us. I can only imagine how outraged we would have been to the "update", especially since my brother had actually earned the right to be a Jedi.
