@mousepad99 You young and foolish always turn to calling someone "retarded". Guess you think that somehow makes your point or makes you feel powerful when you have no other way.
Go ahead and dream a bit, but that doesn't make your point. You still insult others based on faulty knowledge and your imagination from watching a video. I guess you must sail in a simulator, as you have no knowledge of the real world.
@mousepad99 You continue to try to insult the poster of this video. I have no idea why you want to be so ugly to him. Someone posts a video that they created while sailing, a sport which a lot of you city boys never partake on, and all you can do is try to insult him. Sad...
Go, boy, and have an adventure you can post about so that you can stop trying to diminish other peoples' adventures. Perhaps one day when you become a man you will also learn the art of respect for others.
@mousepad99 Oh, he's not my friend, just a fellow sailor. If you consider calling others on their nasty comments, "pollution", then perhaps you could say that I was cleaning up the pollution by defending against others that make nasty comments about situations when they were not even there.
In your passive-aggressive manner, let me say peace out, chill, and don't be so angry.

@mousepad99 Let's see. You're the liar but I'm "disturbed". Yea, that makes a lot of sense.
Keep trying to insult, but you are the one that has dreams of grandeur. Anyway, you are still wrong about the video and don't have the moxie to admit it. One day when you grow into a real sailor, perhaps you can come back here and apologize to the OP for trying to antagonize.
@mousepad99 <--- A quote from the "expert" in weather: "a 3 hour afternoon sail in 25 knots of wind on a hot day is right for me".
Stick to your arm chair and watch what you post in the Net. Also stick to the calm days as you described above and quit lying about yourself. Ex pat... What a troll!
@mousepad99 Cute response but does that ever really work for you? Pretending that someone else is pissed because they have proven you wrong is not a way to debate. That is how children try to get out of being wrong.
This isn't about anger. It's about someone commenting on wind speed in a video when they were not there. It really makes you look foolish to do so. You claim to have sailed, but someone who has won't look at a video and pretend to know wind speed from how it looks. Videos deceive.
@mousepad99 I see you're the victim of armchair sailing. Don't fret, there are a lot of you out there that think you can tell wind speed from a video, but you simply can't. You should probably know better.
Stick to the dry side and you'll probably do better. Even better, let someone else watch the weather if you have to go out.
@mousepad99 Oh, I'm sure you have all sorts of accolades. You state that you are from Montreal in your profile, but you sail in the Gulf of Mexico? Whatever. I guess you have to have fantasies when you don't have the reality to back it up.
Listen and learn from someone who sails the Pacific. Quit right-fighting and looking childish. Quit trying to arm chair sail from a video. Be polite to those that take time to share their videos. Don't enter their space and insult them. That's rude.
@mousepad99 Bitter? You're too sensitive. Man up and bit. I had hopes for you when you admitted you were wrong, but being sensitive is childish.
If you're going to take an stance on wind speed in a video when you were not there, be prepared to be wrong. It is far too difficult to discern wave heights and wind speed from your arm chair, but if that is how you sail, learn to temper your remarks.
You need more lessons, and if you've had them, get your money back, You're not ready yet.
@mousepad99 No sleep lost. Don't feel bad for being wrong. Being right comes with experience and thousands of miles sailing on the open sea. Then you'll be experienced enough to be able to keep the camera in the cockpit and handle the rigging, too.
@mousepad99 That's better. As long as you realize that you are wrong and are man enough to admit it. And you also understand that there is no hard and fast about the white caps being at 25 or 30 when the swells also play a part in that.
@chris42999 So, Chris, is that your assessment from your country and NEVER having owned or sailed a boat? You know nothing, so don't assess what the rest of us know.
We were sailing in our 30 in Lake Ontario the last 3 weeks. Similar wind situation - but in Lake Ontario waves are more together then what you are sailing in your video (can't wait to try sailing in your area one day). With "confused seas" - it was abit rough at times - but as a landlubber - I'm getting used to it - and looking forward to experiencing more sailing next summer (such a short season - sigh).
I love the way the skipper moves with his boat and laughs at the breeze. It captures a nice sail well

@mousepad99 Wrong. You weren't there, and one of the first things you notice is that you cannot assess from a video. BAD try.
