let me clarify this a little more: from my understanding, hula ura ori kani kani siva meke flamenco and watever all means Dance in english. But when u see a certain style you can say a fast hula or ura or siva etc or a slow hula etc.

When you go deeper than that you will notice the differences in movement and sometimes costuming, Despite they all mean Dance.

Somehow I believe Americans hyped up Hawaiianism so hula became a generallised term for most Pacifican Cultural Dance.

yeah, that's not hula. It's a different form of dance altogether. More like they do in Tahiti. With the coconut bras that say "Gilligans Island" LOL.... :-)
