But they didn't go into Africa and start the slave trade just to kill blacks, If that was their goal, they failed cause that was not the way to do it. Slavery was not the issue for fighting the CIvil War. The issue was keeping the union together. Lincoln would have allowed slavery to continue, if that alone would have kept the southern states from seceding. I don't live in Africa or Arabia, so I can care less about how they govern their people. BTW, neither Africa or Arabia are countries, so you can't compare them with the USA. Invest in a few history books and catch up the rest of us who are now in the 21st century.

The Southern states seceded because they felt that Lincoln was a threat to slavery. Since slavery was still legal, he had no choice but to make a final offer to the South to avoid war. Yeah, the rebel states were all slave states, they rebelled to protect slavery, Lincoln issued the Emancipation Proclamation in 1862, at the end of the war, all the slaves were freed and slavery banned in the Constitution. So Jazzman is right, the war had nothing to do with slavery.

We were murdered if we spoke our language, our names taken away, separated from others of our tribes. That was just bringing us over here. Jews were too smart to pass down a slave manual thru the generations so they instead built an entire religion around it and called it judaism, which was palgiarized from egyptian and babylonian culture. Christianity is also a slave religion since it is a plagiarism of judaism. Jews targeted Palestine long before the Bible as the ideal locale to establish a central bank for their slave trade riches.

Im african american and i wonder if it is even possible for me to trace where i came from.If it is possible i bet it will cost so much i wont be able to afford it.I know opera traced her roots but she has billions.And how does a DNA test help?

Sorry, details escape me but there is a professor in a German university (Frankfurt I think) who has compiled the largest DNA library of displaced Africans. He was used in a BBC program which followed a number of African Britains trace their roots and each time they went back to their ancestors original village. Google might help.

there are genetic tests for african americans. it is expensive, $1,000+, but available.
human migration is traced through DNA located on the mitochondria which is the only organelle that contains its own DNA. this DNA travels through the mother only, and it is used to study evolution and human migrations.

African Americans are going to miss out in the long run and are going to be hurt if they don't search for their ancestry because as the world becomes smaller through technology and more countries become more involved in global affairs whether through their own culture or somebody else, politically, economically, socially, many African Americans are going to stil be confined to African affairs in America instead of in the African Diaspora.

I fear that if African Americans continue to have a lack of urgency towards getting their DNA tested and searching for their begotten past, that countries like Britain, French, Germany and even the non-European countries (like China, Japan, and India) will become pushovers towards many countries in Africa and take advantage of Africa's present status and easily available resources.

Africa has more resources than any other continent in the world yet it is the poorest continent. You have people of many backgrounds coming to America for a better education and they go to their homelands to use what they learn to uplift their country. Remember that the Europeans took the strongest, youngest most physically adept Africans out of Africa to the Americas. This was a set back to many African nations for they needed the next generation to relie on.

I just got my DNA tested yesterday blangear. The results should come in by next month. I think that if African Americans collectively did this and learn more about the culture that their enslaved African ancestors were once a part of, as Blacks with the most financial resources in the world, we can finally take part in global affairs and not be left out of the picture as we are right now...

We can take the test but still we have allot of paperwork to go through because people migrate to other parts of Africa. So you have to look at the history and trends of that population. It is fun and more important than the DNA test alone. Go through old books speak to genetics experts and go through old documents where ever you live. It is allot of work.

..While the plague was going on, there were African Kingdoms and Civilizations sprouting out in West Africa: Ghana, Mali, and Songhay. Europeans because of the natural resources that many African nation had were seen as a way to manke money and better their conditions. When Europeans started to expand their horizons to the new world, that's when they figured out they could use African labor as an economic resourse.
