If a inmate has shown good behavior, and is willing to participate in classes that will help them, once released, I believe this is a win, win situation. Not to mention that most inmates have been given sentences that were too harsh, as a first offender. I know this because my brother is a victim of such. Many factors interplay with a person being in prison, many untrues based on ex-cons, because of the Feds. My brother has strong family values and yes he made a mistake, but he is a good man.

This bill only needs to be passed for the ones whom are serving time for a less meaningful act unlike murder or attempted murder. Go ahead let inmates out like ones whom have tried to have someone murdered and didn't succeed and are still holding a grudge against the victim. I don't think Illinois need another law suit on their hands for freeing an imnate then giving them the opportunity to succeed their goal

We need our husbands home. The economy dictates that it takes two to work to survive now days. Please think of the ones of us that are truly hurting ...and that financially we need them out earlier to ease our hunger and housing needs.
